While the show is dated and corny, it brings back SO many nice memories of childhood. Every Saturday and Sunday morning in the early '60s I used to enjoy 11:30am - 12:30pm, when I would watch The Roy Rogers Show followed by Sky King. It was such an innocent and safe time of life. These were never available in syndication over the decades as were so many of the other old television shows, so thanks for posting.
Thank You so much for the neat opportunity to actually watch the RR Show as I did some 55 years ago. Blessings to you and May the Good Lord take a like'n to ya.... JB
Dale Evans should have dressed into Roy's fancy cowboy outfit and pretended to be Roy . Dale is pictured a few time in Roy's sleeek cowboy outfits and looks super foxy !
I’m always confused at the beginning sequence: Granny’s adamant that she won’t ride Trigger but then you see her riding into Mineral City and Pat helps her down. Bad continuity or was something cut?
Because of a much more conservative morality of the 1950's; showing bad guys looting their victims after capturing, wounding, killing or just knocking them out; didn't happen much and then usually just a few non-personal property. In reality , good guys like Roy , Gene , Lone Ranger, Cisco Kid ( one episode it did happen ) would have had all of their personal belongings stolen : their nicer, fancier cowboy outfits, gun belts & guns, saddle ( plus horse ? ), fancy cowboy or tall riding boots, hat , etc.. In this episode after knocking out Pat , dressed as Roy, didn't steal his nicer , custom trail clothes , Roy's double eagle boots nor Pat's own gun rig ; they were in the middle of nowhere , yet the outlaws yell out : " Let's get rid of him quick " ! Why ? Plenty of time to take his much nicer cowboy outfit and make it theirs !
Dale should have dressed as Roy , mount Trigger to lead the bad men to follow her. Dale would look super sassy & foxy with her feminine form wearing Roy's fancy, sleek , ranch pants tucked into his elaborate cowboy boots !
Gran tells both Dale & Roy in her cafe that Pat is dressed as " Roy " outside walking with Trigger. Dale then asks why Pat will dress as you Roy ? Roy should have said if you keep wearing my cowboy duds yourself ; society will consider my sleek & fancy cowboy outfit as being " feminine womenswear "!
Thanks for show this episode of the Roy Rogers TV Show. He was, and will always be, my hero, as he was Granny's in this episode.

Hallene Hill (Granny) was actually 76.

Did Roy Rogers do any trick roping /rope spinning in any of his movies
I've seen a lot of Roy's movies in my 76 years but never saw him do that. Hoot Gibson was great with a rope and trick riding like you can't believe.
