Impressive that you do this all yourself. Plus, you’re a talented musician. Do you offer instruments for sale, or just contract for dealers? Would like to visit your shop and meet you, if you’re open to the public.
Thank you for the kind words. Mostly, I sell to piano dealers, as I live in a rural area and don’t really have a proper “showroom.” Although, I do try to keep a small number of instruments here in the shop for sale, but space is limited. I’d be happy to give you the nickel tour. You can find my contact info on my website (in the description) to make an appointment.
Thanks for watching! A video of the audio recording for this video can be seen here: th-cam.com/video/b5h2bfbj5Ao/w-d-xo.html

Do they really need refinishing? How do you decide? I can imagine wanting the restoration without abandoning the original finish?
It’s certainly not necessary. Many clients choose to keep the original finish.
Very much a dying art. The restoration of what is an object of the good, the true, the noble...
so how long did it take?
About 5 months working on them a couple days a week.
I shudder to consider how much it cost to restore one of these Steinways.🙀
