I have a brand new coilpack and somehow still misfiring on “cylinder 5” but when I pull the wire for cylinder 1 the rpm’s stay the same and it doesn’t misfire. Might’ve been misfiring on cylinder 1 and not 5 this whole time. Will do this test tomorrow.
Thanks for this simple test, I didn't see anyone else posting this. Seems like it's not necessary to remove the coil pack to test it though, might want to point that out.
Hello my friend I need your help badly, by the way great video I like the way you explain how to test the coil, now I have a 1997 mercury mountaineer 5.0 liter it has 2 coil pack four pins for the wire spark plugs each coil pack has four prongs, how do I test them my friend each coil has 4 pins for the spark plug wires, please send me some info and hopefully you have the number of ohms to expect on the test, thank you in advance.
@@UnTamedMustang the car is not running. When you turn the key it just cranks. It’s a 98 Ford Explorer 5.0 V8 that’s been sitting for a couple of years. I took it on as a project car and started with the basics. So far I replaced: Oil/oil filter Air filter Battery Fuel pump Ignition coils Spark plugs Spark plug cables I did find a new crank shaft sensor in the car in a box. I plan on replacing that next.
I wonder how the gas is. If you remove the gas tank, disconnect the ECU, the fuel pump stays on and you can pump all the old fuel out from the return line into containers. Yellow gas could gel up the injectors and possibly lines as well .

Good morning sir hope your day is going well! I have an (INNOVA 3300) and I'm trying to apply this same test here (th-cam.com/video/gEQnKNLlcFQ/w-d-xo.html). Is it possible for my multimeter to do that? I also have an (AUTEL AL539B).
No lie there haha. Android phones man. They suck !! I got a cheapie mic now to help. Im not trying to be Mr Hollywood though so i dont really really care. But thanks : )
P.S. If you have any tips or ideas for better videos please dont hesitate to let me know. More energy? Am i allowed to use my big boy words(because i use them a lot) , ummmm... any ideas ?
Need something to keep the camera still and in different positions, notice your work is there. But not detailed enough. I have a clean 98 v6 mustang also and planning on slapping a turbo on mine also. That’s why I’m watching your vids.
@@LoverJ please don't use the turbos I started out with. I had to personally modify them by cutting the turbine blades to fit a different housing. (Not really on record )
Just tested my coil pack but I get a reading of 10.50 in all my coils. Is this within limits or do I still need to replace. It’s a Ford Ranger XLT 2WD 2001 3.0L
Good understandable lesson. Thanks for sharing. Have a great festive season.
Well done, thank you.
Made my day man I appreciate you
Good Job Sir !!!
Thanks! Swapped in a 5.85 liter since then .
hey i just came across your channel gonna be testing my coil tomorrow
THANKYOU
Good job
Appreciate you fam
good vidnthanks , gonna do it right now.
You are a god my man
Thank You. I try when Need Be .

Curious about that, not sure if the mounting bolts are a second grounding and whether that would affect it.
My coil pack on my 04 Ranger tests just like yours. Runs fine but heavy miss at idle. Gonna replace it soon.
Will you send it to me ?
We shall see what happens when a 220volt/ 90amp circuit goes through it . For the optimym, guaranteed Spark ,Every time. .
Thanks for the video! How do you do it on a 4 cylinders? (ford focus). Do you know what should be the numbers on this one? Thanks a lot!!!!

Homie really running twin turbos on a single port v6 mustang.
The 5.85 liter i swapped in it is a single port. Just has 2 TB inlets .
Will be twin turbod also .

Its good for the mechanic experience and power increase.
Now time to add a big camshaft with valvesprings to support it 🤪
Ac or DC voltage on meter
Ohms
Still does burnouts with a misfire.....(two whopping hurricane force turbos staring back at us 😳
Why do you have to take it off the car to do that
When it’s mounted will you still get a reading?
If the car is running ? The coil produces thousands if volts when running so dont do that .
