Hi Everyone, Thank you so much for watching the tour of our 2008 Gulf Stream Conquest. We hope you enjoyed our video! Please say hello by leaving a comment below! Also, please feel free to ask any questions or just tell us about yourselves. We want to get to know you and share our RV experiences.
You both know what you want in an RV. Find something that meets your desires as much as you can. Renovating could unlock unknown horrors. Enjoy the journey.
Lovely RV… but I think you two deserve something a little brighter. The good thing is that by now, you know everything you want and everything you don’t! List it! Can’t wait to see your new baby and all the adventures you will share with us. Love ya! ❤️🏕 2
Hi Celia, I think we are leaning toward something new...and we will make some great memories in a new RV too! Thanks for watching the video and commenting! Mike and Susan
@@celiadealmeida7754 Thanks Celia!!! You just made our day! We really try our best to help and inspire others. What kind of teardrop are you buying? Keep us posted on your adventures! Mike
@@RVBlogger I have been doing my homework for about two years now and I needed to find something good and affordable to convince my husband 😁 (I am getting tired of camping with tents after reaching the 50th’s). We are leaning towards the InTech Flyer Pursue. Any thoughts?
Happy Mother's Day, Susan!! Well, I made it to the bed area, then I decided my vote. List it! The bed placement can be improved upon. I also don't like that you guys don't have enough kitchen storage. Your pretty wardrobe could hold all your clothes if you had better storage in the "living area". The shower is also something you guys can really improve on. Eek! A curtain! Mike HATES those! 😄 I agree that the nautilus doors are much better. The RB class Cs with nice Murphy bed system would be a nice set up, as long as the bed wasn't electric, IMO. You don't want to depend on power for your bed.
Hi John, We agree! A major reno would take a long time to complete and then would might end up selling it anyway...who endure the pain? Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
I’ve watched so many of your video tours, that I really think there’s something new out there that you’d enjoy just as much. I know it has many memories, and that you’re used to your routine with this one, but I’m sure with all your knowledge & resources, you could find a new RV that would suit you. Can’t wait to see what decision you make!
Hi Deb, Thanks for watching our videos!!! We really appreciate that! We are leaning toward something new but we shall see!!! Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
That C class has a huge (Too Huge) dinette. Now with that said, I think that you guys had great memories in that nice C Class but time to grow up and face new challenges. I don't get the feeling that you guys are really very happy with your current setup!? I believe that a new RV will offer new experiences and change your course a little. After your experiences in it and proving that you know your way around an RV why not spoil yourself. Save the time and spend that time in your new RV. You deserve it!
Aww, I remember my first RV trip with my grandparents, I thought it was the coolest thing EVER. I think we stayed about 30 miles from their house but I LOVED IT. Wishing you many more memories!
If the engine is good and it’s paid for, I’d just do some cosmetic things, like painting, changing dinette cushions, and the window coverings. It seems anything major would be difficult and too costly. Seems like this RV has been good to you. The new RVs out there may not last as long and certainly current prices are really high. Whatever you decide I’ll keep watching. You guys always put out great content. Good luck on whatever you decide!
@@RVBlogger your welcome, I would not undertake that kind of job, I would definitely trade it in or sell it and you guys would only get frustrated and spend way to much money to redo everything in there and that bathroom would even have me claustrophobic and I’m 4’ 11. I do not like tiny spaces especially in the bathroom. The dining table is great but way to big for that space unless your trying to sleep 4 adults plus kids then it would be great. Besides you guys love being on the road and doing your great videos, those renovations would take to long. Besides like you said to much relocation which would probably end up in your storage which would leave you no storage. Thank you for sharing and keep making great videos. You guys give the most in depth videos when showing RV’s and towables. I watch them all, so thank you for the great content.

I like it TONS. I wouldn't remodel as I like the bigger work-area / diner. the Bigger queen bed and smaller bath is a GREAT / super trade off. The only thing I would consider "remodeling" is removing the oven, adding an outdoor shower, and converting the overhead to storage bins only. All of which would be simple jobs. I think the small tub is a winner, but of course the elbow room is a bit of a problem, thus the outdoor shower. A walk-around queen would be better, but for that overall length, and price point you are really, really, rock'n and rollin -- I'd consider buying it.
It definitely offers all the most important features in a small space. We do love it just not sure for a full time basis. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You could love it and list it!! I would choose the lightest color from the walls and give the wood a coat of paint. Even if you don't keep your RV it will make it easier to sell. If the bathroom sink is a huge pain maybe remove it. I would trim the shower curtain down to just cover the space so the excess doesn't hug you. The storage above the dinette ins nice even if you do have to stand up to get to it. A lot of people will love the large dinette and there is a lot going on under it. I would not start moving major components since that can lead to trouble. Driving comfort would me a major factor for me. You already know what the deal killers are for you though. I like the RV and if it's already paid for that is a big consideration too. I would consider how many miles the RV has on it. You will continue building memories regardless of what you have. This's just my opinion. Love you guys. like the RV.
Hi Lorrie, You make some really great points! We are leaning toward getting a new RV but we shall see! Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
I think you've really already decided to LIST IT... you just haven't made it official yet! Considering your lifestyle and the knowledge you already have of other models and floorplans, I bet it wouldn't take you long to decide which one to get. LOVE the memories you've made in this RV, knowing you'll have many more wonderful memories to make in a new RV!
Great RV, for a starter. Well chosen. Because of the "infrastructure" elements that you pointed out, I would limit renovations to painting in a lighter color and/or upholstery to minimize brown ONLY, if I did anything at all. If you are going to do any remodeling, it will take you off the road for a season, which you mentioned is not favorable. It seems like you would spend considerable cash remodeling, which will not likely add to your resale value. If I were you, I would considering using your current RV for one more season, as it is likely that the coming recession will correct the over-inflated prices we are currently seeing and plan to buy next season. If you ARE willing to lose a season of camping, you could likely capitalize on both.....sell now at a higher-than-usual price and buy next year when it is expected that the "bubble" may have popped. But that means losing a season on the road, boo. At any rate, I think the infrastructure of your well-laid-out rig would make extensive remodeling a nightmare.
Hey Delainey Thank you!!! Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤ Mike and Susan BTW, let us know what you think of RV Camping Magazine, our free digital and video magazine! rvblogger.com/rv-camping-magazine/
Wife and I bought our first travel trailer and I completely remodeled it. It’s more of a 30ft little home now on wheels. We sold the sticks and bricks and hitting the road full time! Great job guys. Found you on the “must have” video and been binge watching your stuff.
Thank you so much for the kind words!!! And all your support! We wish you the besy of luck on your full time journey. Hope we see ya' on the road. Safe travels!
I would renovate what needs to be renovated. Then sell because you'll get more money for your rv. I hate big dinettes! You could put a smaller dinette in and put something in that extra space. 🤗 I love 💕 your video's! Take care, stay safe, and God bless✝️. Happy RVing!
You could reconfigure the base of the seating area, take out the table and get a portable table , you don’t need the vacuum, it’s not a house , just sweep it out the door everyday or get a cordless one, you can leave your water heater and other utilities under the base box it back in and put cushions on it like a window seat type area, now you’ll be able to adjust your drivers seat after that wall is taken out . Did you buy it new ? If so you already know all the little things/quirks about it, if not maybe you might want to trade up, but guys you know how much junk is coming out of Indiana or wherever RVs are getting thrown together not to mention the cost but I’m sure you have an inside on pricing , but if you’re not paying cash do you want to have a “mortgage” ? Mike I do remember how you’ve said you are a minimalist at heart so going bigger doesn’t jive with that 😬, personally it’s too small for me and my dog, I need a walk around bed and 30 ft , I don’t know how 2 people live in such close quarters but I’ve lived alone for years and I like it that way but I’d rather live with animals instead of a human anyway 🐕🙀🤡. Who you kidding ! You know you’re ready for something different, doesn’t have to be new, younger with newer features , kinda like a midlife crisis, so which one of you are having it ? 😉 happy shopping you guys . 😁
Hi Kim, All great comments! We bought our Class C about 4 years ago. But we will be traveling quite a bit more so we are thinking we will need something larger to live in. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike
You most definitely should list it and get exactly what you want in a camper and make new memories. Susan's points were great with the couch and it probably would have gravitated me to that style, but I'm in the research stage right now. Thirty yers ago, we had a Winnebago 31' coach and while we enjoyed it, now there is just me! All my friends have campers and I want to travel to visit my friends and family AND William who is three will know he has the neatest NaNa and his little baby sister Olivia now 18 months. Get what you want to enjoy these years as a beautiful young couple. Time flies by as we know...Now go buy your new camper. Thank you for the 'reminder' definitely renting one first, I'm only 5'1 so it has to handle well. Thank you Mike and Susan. I love your tips, you are so helpful.
Thank you for the kind words Mary. I'm a Nana too!!! Just love my grandchildren! ❤ Best of luck in your RV search. Keep us posted!!! Thanks for watching and commenting.
My dream is to get a class b someday. Love watching and learning about RV with your channel. A bit of hind sight opinion. As you get up in age, think about upgrading because of all the SAFETY UPGRADES that cars and RV are installing. It takes a while to get used to them but boy are they worth it. Your change in your health changes litterally over night. So I would vote for and update IF you can find all the things you like in one. Plus now they have that B+ size. Keep RVing. and Thank you for taking us along.

Nice tour guys! Very nice to meet you both in person Mike and Susan! Keep the videos and reviews coming for us! We’re all learning so much from your experience! Looking forward to seeing the new RV in the future if you decide to upgrade!😃
I like that it does not have slides. you could hang a fold down sink towards the shower. change the direction of your toilet so it faces the shower maybe like an incinerator a toilet I don't know enough. maybe only cut half of that couch wall off the back so you have a way to lean back with your drivers seat. I don't know it's a nice idea that somebody could sleep above the driver's console or down below but if it was me I'd mount my TV speakers and maybe put more cabinets for storage I don't know if you can add an outside shower also Maybe be able to lower your table or get u a little bit smaller table so it's can drop down to a coffee table size height that is a justable that would give you the living room feeling. for the prices of campers it looks like you've taken well care of what you have I say keep it add a fold-down porch in the back that you can fold up .Screen it all around and underneath. also they make curved shower rods and they are not that expensive buy and double layer fabric shower curtain liners. Keep it... the toilet is an issue to decide what direction to place it. Still cheaper to keep her! Good luck❤
We bought a 2022 Thor Four Wind 28A it’s been in shop 5 months out of 7 months of owning New RV aren’t as good as old ones Be sure you get from someplace with a good repair shop Lazy Days in Loveland has lots of bays but no workers I called in April for repairs and was told first appointment is August 22 Keep it don’t get new Good luck

Your videos helped me choose my Class C RV which I brought home 3 weeks ago and just came home from my first 5 day camping trip yesterday. I am loving it, however, I still have a lot to learn and the first time you have to take down all the outside stuff is a little nerve wracking to be sure I am doing it right. Thanks for all your hard work putting out these wonderful videos.

Loves Susan's idea about the Jackie sofa and a stand alone table would save yall tons of money and make it perfect. Certainly yall know somebody could help you make changes...be blessed.
Sounds like the only renovation you need to do is to remove that huge dinette! Replace that with a smaller unit or just put in a sofa and invest in some tv trays. That would be a relatively small renovation.
Mike said the tanks and I believe water heater are under the dinette. They can't really replace it with something smaller unless they rearrange the water system. Then they lose precious storage, which they seem to be needing more of.
Hi TCP, Anything we do with the dinette will cause major issues so it would be a huge undertaking to remodel the dinette area! If it was easy we would probably just keep the C... Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
@@RVBlogger It looks to be the biggest issue with the rig so maybe "sell it" and get one that fits your travel style really is the best answer. This market right now tho is a nightmare to buy but I guess it's wonderful to sell so maybe it balances out? I'm with you on the driver's side seat...that wouldn't be comfortable for long. It looks like you guys have taken really good care of it so hopefully you'll get a good price for it! PS..love the magazine!
List it! It will take to much time to remodel. I think it is very presentable to buyers as it is. Also, think of all the video content you will have as you shop for a different RV!
definitely buy new one. lot of new features and modernization that can't be done by renovating. I bought new forester from forest river. one cool feature is back and two side cameras, microwave that alternate to convection oven etc.
Your RV is a classic and nothing you buy today (unless you spend $$$$$$’s) will be made as well as the RV you are showing. Make the small changes with the dinette. Change the wall color to your liking and keep the brown adding accent pillows. It’s really a very nice rig. Wishing you guys well!
I’d say list it. There are so many models available, and while none may be perfect, hopefully you’d find one that requires far less work. And for someone else, your rv would be more ideal as is. And I LOVE that you recommend renting before buying. Hopefully you’ll follow your own advice before you switch or remodel ;-) Peace - John
Thank you for the tour! I think renovations might be tough because of the location of the essential items. I’m sure there are work arounds. Look forward to more from you no matter what you decides. (I’m hoping to find a quality used class c soon. We have a pull behind but might want to have a second RV).
Mike and Susan glad to have seen your Class C. Great reviews. Susan did a great job of showing the rv. I like it. I would renovate the dinette only because to have you be able to drive the Rv with the chair back. It’s a great dinette. But it’s too hard to change it out. I’m like you not wanting to get rid of the Rv and I would renovate if I could. If I couldn’t do the renovate I would sell it and get a new and make memories in my new Class C. I hope I was of some help. Hope Susan had a great Mother’s Day! Have a great week and see you soon!
Great tour! Picked up some ideas. I have a 1996 Itasca class A. 23' Surprising similarities to your layout and that same vintage look for cabinets. plus some of the same issues...making the bed! I would not want to have to relocate the infrastructure. My big upgrade was putting in a cedar ceiling to replace the fabric liner that had detached. Otherwise put $$$ into the engine. You are in a win-win. Having a very fine rig while you keep your eyes open for another...even if it takes some time.
I think you have a great RV. I can see you may want to change some things and that would be a ton of work. I'm just not sure right now is a good time to buy something different. Happy Camping.
For my situation, I plan on getting something older and bigger and renovating it but for your situation, you should get something that's more up to date and you know what you want since you've been RV'ing. Good luck!
We just bought a 22 foot and love it, bed is above cabin, couch is a bed and the dinette is small but can also be a bed, and bathroom is in the end with shower and a small closet, we have lots of storage inside. We just love it. I thought we might need a little bigger one with the back bedroom, but I love my couch and dinette, and the models I’ve looked at you lose one or the other. Plus it’s small enough to go anywhere’s in. I drive it more than hubby does, in fact we drove from Vt to Flo and I did most of driving.
This would make a great RV for the first-timers just starting out. What you would like to do sounds nice, but you would have too much money in it that you would not recoup. Sell it and find your new dream place. You know what you want now.
The only thing I'd change is the shower curtain. Replace it with a self-cleaning pull out door. Easy to do and will look better. If you plan on selling, don't renovate, someone else might adore the current decor. I'm not a fan of brown, but I love your RV.
Hi Alison, Thanks for your comments and you are right! Someone else might like the way it looks - we do! Thanks for watching the video and commenting! Mike and Susan
If you can continue to put up with a small bathroom and a difficult to make bed I would shrink the dinette and change the décor with paint. The prices are so high right now that you will really pay a premium to get a rig as nice as this one. If the driver's seat and small shower are robbing you of fun to the point where you don't look forward to travel then it is time to list it. Have you made your list up of positives and negatives? Interesting tour, thanks for sharing.
First, always love your videos! Thanks for making them. Secondly, I think you know your answer…LOL! 2008 is a good run with that RV, but for all the money to move around your underbelly then to remodel would probably be very costly especially on a vehicle with a lot of miles on it. Plus your needs have changed. There will be someone who will love your set up and can afford it because it is used. Will love to see what your new one will look like!!
Your RV is actually really nice, I’m a big fan of the dinette for similar reasons and if you painted the cupboards a light, bright colour will make a big difference.
"What's the best (anything)" is most asked no matter what the topic is, and the answer is always "it depends." RVs, motorcycles, cars, telescopes, tools, houses, whatever. It depends on people's budgets, planned use, and personal taste.
you could buy lots of paper towel rolls as you will use them over time, and use them to prevent things like those plastic boxes from sliding around. Paper towel rolls can be flattened and you can use half the roll and make it smaller for tighter spaces. If you stop needing the paper towel roll you can start using it as normal.
The paper towel tip is great! I hope others read your comment and it helps with their storage worries. Thank you for watching the tour of our Class C and commenting!
Great tour. You should love it or if ready for new one list it. You have done a great job of organizing your RV. I am sure if you sold this or trade it in would get a good price for it. It is well taken care of. Good luck!!
Thank you for the kind words and all your support! I love organizing and finding great ways to store all our stuff!!! Mike's solution is always less stuff.😂

22:15 The shower curtain pulls in cause the hot water generates steam and wants to rise and leave the top, cold air wants to replace it where the curtain is blocking it so the cold air pushes the curtain in. All you have to do is create an outtake air on the roof with that skylight, and then either have that big enough to also let cold air in or create another option for cold air to come in to replace the hot air leaving and you will create a balance pressure system and the curtain will not move. Popping the skylight up a few inches would do the trick. EDIT: seen the sealing now, maybe the option would be put a window on the wall.
That is some really great information to help reduce shower curtain frustation! We do have a vent in the shower to help reduce heat and moisture. Cutting a whole in the RV is not an option we would consider...way out of our wheelhouse. Thank you so much for the insight and tips!
Great tour guys - Thanks for your great channel and reviews! - Nice to see where you call "home" as well. Like they say - "Home is where you hang your hat" - no matter what or where it is. - Cheers!

Thanks for the tour of your RV. I have been leaning more toward a smaller Class C if I were to get an RV. I would be a solo traveler and I just like the idea of being able to walk to the front get in the driver's seat and leave if I need to and not have to worry about getting out of a trailer, hooking up and getting into a tow vehicle. Not to mention my small SUV that I currently have wouldn't tow much of anything in terms of a trailer so rather than having to buy a tow vehicle and a trailer I think a Class C would be a better option. I love the idea of a Class B but they're so dang expensive and I think they probably would be a little bit too cramped for me. Your RV has some nice features but I almost think based on the number of cons that you mentioned it might be more practical to list it rather than love it. You pointed out numerous infrastructure type changes that would need to be made that I think would be cost prohibitive and would just take a lot of work to complete. At the end of the day there are some things that would be very difficult to change and I think you may just be at a point where getting a different RV with a better floor plan would be the best option for you. I'm really liking the what I call Baby A class which I think is just really a Class C that has the big open front so it looks like a small Class A.b I really love all the open front window space you get and I think it would make them easier to drive as your vision field would be better. It's interesting that yours is a 2008. My small SUV is a 2008 and only has 49,000 miles on it so I don't really have a lot of reason to get rid of it since I don't drive much but what I miss having is some of the newer safety features that a more recent model year would offer me and I think the same could be said for your RV. It's definitely a big chunk of change to put out to buy a new or even different RV if you would be considering a pre-owned model. I think that the RV market will be in a better position to buy in in the next year to 18 months as people who bought RVs to go on the road during the pandemic maybe stepping away from that if they've decided that's not something they want to continue with. Just my opinion but for what it's worth. Good luck in your decision making and keep us updated on what you decide to do! Thanks Susan and Mike!
Hi Rosemary! Thanks for making all of these really great points! We are leaning toward finding something new with all of the features and the best floor plans for us... Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
My dear Mike and Susan... You don't need an upgrade.. This is a beautiful RV.. Ok, if you want to buy a new one.. But, I loved this RV... Unfortunately, I d not have RVs here.. Not that good... I once said that I would be an adviser.. But, couldn't find any engineer to build one...
GREAT Tour!! Very nice to identify all the good…and bad!! Although I kind of like the old things….To stay up on he new features, I think you should sell for a new(er) RV. Need that elbow room!!😂😂
My apologies, my phone just stopped working... So, I am now depending on YT on my laptop... Is this your RV?? Wow, this is awesome... Let me watch the full Ep and then comment... You know me, Mike... I don't speak sweet words for fake sake...
The dinette eats so much space but considering the amount of stuff hidden under it, if you can afford it, I would consider getting something a bit newer just based on some of the more space efficient RVs you have shown us
Hi BadassUnicorn, Yeah - moving all the stuff under the dinette would be a major challenge for sure and it would take a ton of work... Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
We are considering a Class A RV...terrible gas mileage but more space for us to live while we travel. We have looked at Class B vans but there is no way we can live in one of those...just too small and very little storage. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike

@@RVBlogger just #1? I would have to go with overall comfort/plenty of elbow room. I don’t have the same floor plan as yours I have the W6293 and for me it’s the Goldilocks of RVs (just right 😊 for me). #2 it’s the storage, storage and more storage (I have the complete basement model so storage underneath the entire rig). I have had it
Even though I hate to say it with the price of RVs these days- List it. I think you could find an RV with a much better layout for the two of you. I do really like your RV and I think it really needs some color. 👍🏻
❤️❤️❤️❤️ I JUST PURCHASED MY 5th WHEEL RV AND IT IS SITTING AT THE DEALER RIGHT NOW WAITING TO GET PICKED UP AFTER THE HITCH BEING INSTALLED IN MY TRUCK AND THE FIFTH WHEEL IS A 1995 ESCAPER SO A 2008 IS NOT REALLY OLD IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT AS HOUSE AGE. WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT AS HOUSE AGE, THEY ARE REALLY NOT THAT OLD OR OUT OF DATE LIKE YOU WOULD THINK JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE THE $1MILLION RV UPDATES 😂😂, I'M LEAVING MY 1995 ESCAPER JUST THE WAY SHE IS , AND IT HAS ONE OF THE BEST FLOOR PLANS, REAR KITCHEN, MED LIVING ROOM, VERY GOOD SPACE FOR LARGE TV, CAPABLE OF PUTTING A CHAIR DIRECTLY IN LINE WITH A 55" TV, AND IT HAS THE ONE LARGE SLIDE OUT, I JOINED YOUR CLUB AND THIS WILL BE THE FIRST TIME OF DOING ROAD TRIPS LIKE THIS NOW THAT I'M RETIRED 35-YEAR ROOFER/WELDER. NERVOUS STOMACH 😂😂.

Since you spend a lot of time on the road, and have a class C, I am curious what your local transportation solution is. It doesn't look like you are towing a car or anything. I have seen that you have the electric bikes, which is fine for getting around a campsite, but I'm thinking more like when you leave the campsite, if you go to dinner, or to a store, or sightseeing where it's too far to bike. Do you just not do that? I have a 25' Freelander Class C, and that's kind of my biggest thing. If I'm on a long trip where I am in a campsite for several days, I don't want to feel stranded. I'm hesitant about towing a car though, it seems like a lot of hassle. So I'm just curious what you do. Thanks.
Thanks for watching and commenting Chuck. We aren't currently full time but that is our future plan. Once we transition we will definitely tow a vehicle.
Charles and Allie Trippy just spent a lot of time and money renovating a Class A RV. They rented several Class C's before they bought and now they're thinking of selling the Class A and switching to a Class C.
@@RVBlogger I tweeted this video to three prominent TH-cam families who have expressed an interest in either buying their first RV or switching to a smaller RV. I think it would be perfect for the musical Ukranian immigrant Protsenko Family. They have two toddlers and one beautiful, talented 14-year-old daughter who makes over $1-million per year with her music.

When you go moving main system components around, you just invite trouble. I love your rv, but you might do better to list it while the used market is hot and get a new one with everything you want.

Key thing to remember is that if you sell the RV, you get to keep all your fabulous memories. If you want to continue to provide us with great ideas and insights, you need to be current with RV technology and features, and the best way to do that is to buy a new RV. Remodeling will be mostly cosmetic. Upgrading all the technology will be a long tough haul.
I'm not sure a remodel would be worth your while guys. There are so many systems changes that need to be done to accommodate your needs that I think it would take forever to get done and more than likely cost a small fortune. If you got into a remodel, you wouldn't be able to use the RV much this season either due to some of the major retrofitting that you discussed. Somewhere out there, is a person that is looking for exactly what you have. (Unfortunately, It would be perfect me, as I am single but I couldn't afford it) See you soon and I hope you make the right decision the both of you!!
Looks like there are too many obstacles that can't be moved to remodel it. It may talk awhile, but looks like you need to find another class c that better meets your needs.
Hi Mike & Susan! Love your videos! We are renting from Cruise America this summer in Colorado. It seems like all the RV sites with electric & water hook-ups are booked/over $100/night. What do you think I should do? Thanks!
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! Unfortuntely I think campground rates have gotten a little crazy. Have your checked out some camping memberships? Some can offer pretty good discounts. Hipcamp and theDyrt are good at finding affordable camping. I add a link to our membership page on the website if you want to check out some of the one's we like. Best of luck on your camping vacation!!! rvblogger.com/memberships/
i have a question... your opinion or knowledge.. i met a former rv salesman and he stated that he would never ever use the restroom for number two, because he has seen and heard of too many horror stories about everything solidifying and only fix is replacement of black tank. any info welcome
Hi Scout838, We have never had that problem but this is why we also recommend flushing your black tank whenever you can so you remove any buildup that can occur. We use our bathroom all the time. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
You are welcome! We love our Class C, even though she's a bit old and aged. It was a great used motorhome purchase. Thank you for watching the tour of our Class C and commenting.
Sell it and buy new(er). I’m hearing that RV repair shops don’t want to work on anything over 10 years old. And parts are getting hard to find for older rigs.
I don’t know what your level of pain, both physical and mental, is, but you’re talking renovating a RV, and you’re talking a lot of moving things around and not just the dining table, but the stuff you don’t see and will have to move. I think the best bet is to sell or trade for a better Class C, one that you don’t have make compromises for. Check out used RVs over at Cruise America. They have all sizes of rigs for sale. My favorite one there is the top of the line Thor 35” that has a split bathroom (toilet and sink on one side, shower (with a glass sore!) on the other and a bedroom with a walk around bed. It also has a massive storage space under the bedroom similar to what’s in your current rig. Hope I have helped you….. You make great videos, and a joy to watch

Thank you so much for watching the tour of our 2008 Gulf Stream Conquest.

Love ya! ❤️🏕 2
Hi Celia,
I think we are leaning toward something new...and we will make some great memories in a new RV too!

@@RVBlogger you guys inspire me so much. We are about to buy our very first teardrop 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

@@RVBlogger I have been doing my homework for about two years now and I needed to find something good and affordable to convince my husband 😁 (I am getting tired of camping with tents after reaching the 50th’s). We are leaning towards the InTech Flyer Pursue. Any thoughts?
Guuuuyyyssss… we bought our teardrop!!!!! Went crazy and bought an Intech Luna Rover! Can’t wait to go camping.
Hi Krista,
Thanks for your feedback!!! Can you believe we have a shower curtain! LOL!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Mike and Susan
Definitely list it. Huge hassle renovating.
Hi John,
We agree!
Hi Deb,
Thanks for watching our videos!!! We really appreciate that!
We are leaning toward something new but we shall see!!!

Hi Kenneth!
We appreciate your points! (We are leaning toward something new!)

Hi Jorge!
Thanks so much for your support!!!! Glad you enjoy our content!

I would list it because of all the obstacles for renovations. There are many great Class C’s out there.
Hi Kay!

Hi Lorrie,
You make some really great points! We are leaning toward getting a new RV but we shall see!

😉 Reviewing new RVs is a blessing and a curse! 😂 Thank you for watching and commenting and all your support!
Great advice and all great points. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!❤

That's a new approach! Thank you for all your support!! ❤
Hi Kim,
All great comments!
We bought our Class C about 4 years ago. But we will be traveling quite a bit more so we are thinking we will need something larger to live in.

Good luck❤

Loves Susan's idea about the Jackie sofa and a stand alone table would save yall tons of money and make it perfect. Certainly yall know somebody could help you make changes...be blessed.
Thank you for watching and commenting. And lovin' my idea! 😉😂
Hi TCP,
Anything we do with the dinette will cause major issues so it would be a huge undertaking to remodel the dinette area! If it was easy we would probably just keep the C...

Hi johnsoj9,

definitely buy new one. lot of new features and modernization that can't be done by renovating. I bought new forester from forest river. one cool feature is back and two side cameras, microwave that alternate to convection oven etc.
Yes!! There are so many nice luxury items that come with a new RV! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
That is true! The quality build they have now won’t be anything like, in a new one. 🍻
Thanks for watching and commenting Linda. That's a good point...they don't make 'em like they use to!

Hi Jan,
I think the renovation would be very difficult and would take a ton of time.

Thank you Sherri. We always love your support! We have quite the dilemma lol. I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Thank you!
Hi 123kekipi,
I love the idea of a cedar ceiling!

I think you have a great RV. I can see you may want to change some things and that would be a ton of work. I'm just not sure right now is a good time to buy something different. Happy Camping.
Thank you so much for watching and your great tips!!!
For my situation, I plan on getting something older and bigger and renovating it but for your situation, you should get something that's more up to date and you know what you want since you've been RV'ing. Good luck!
I love seeing other peoples renovations and always feel inspired...until it's time to actually do it! lol. Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤
I would sell it and keep it original
Hi Barbara,
That's the advantage of a small Class C - you can drive it anywhere!

Mike
This would make a great RV for the first-timers just starting out. What you would like to do sounds nice, but you would have too much money in it that you would not recoup. Sell it and find your new dream place. You know what you want now.
Hi Larry,
Great points!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Mike
The only thing I'd change is the shower curtain. Replace it with a self-cleaning pull out door. Easy to do and will look better. If you plan on selling, don't renovate, someone else might adore the current decor. I'm not a fan of brown, but I love your RV.
Hi Alison,
Thanks for your comments and you are right! Someone else might like the way it looks - we do!

I would list it. The type of renovation you're talking about sounds very expensive so it may be cheaper to sell and buy a new/newer RV.

Thank you!!! We always love your support and kind words! ❤
I like ur RV, it's functional, Be happy 😊😊😊
Thank you! and thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for watching and commenting. We have definitely made our list of pros and cons...several times lol!
Thank you for your kinds words!!! That definitely plays apart in our ultimate decision! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Your RV is actually really nice, I’m a big fan of the dinette for similar reasons and if you painted the cupboards a light, bright colour will make a big difference.
Hi Faustina!
Glad you like our RV! If we painted it there would be a huge difference!
Thanks for watching the video and commenting!
Mike and Susan
Sounds like with window darkening curtains/reflectix by the bed, a curved shower rod, and a bench by the bed are all you need!
Hi Holly,
We could make do with those changes and still enjoy the Class C!

"What's the best (anything)" is most asked no matter what the topic is, and the answer is always "it depends." RVs, motorcycles, cars, telescopes, tools, houses, whatever. It depends on people's budgets, planned use, and personal taste.
That is very true, depends on the person and then it still changes. Thanks for watching and commenting.
you could buy lots of paper towel rolls as you will use them over time, and use them to prevent things like those plastic boxes from sliding around.
Where can I get the Motor home Salt & Pepper holder. I love it!! Your motor home would not be hard to sell. It's well taken care of.
Hi again Deborah,
Susan's daughter got us the salt and pepper shaker for Christmas and she bought it from the camp store at a KOA campground.
Here's a Class A salt and pepper shaker I found on Amazon amzn.to/3vZKyds

Just asked my daughter about this.. She said, buy a new one.. But, I confused her by saying that, this RV is legendary, they had for years... Now she is in super-dilemma !! Now, she wants you to upgrade it, so that your home is always with you!!! :'D
It's a tough decision!
Thanks to you and your daughter for your input!

- Cheers!
Hi Garry!
We have a home base too in MD but we love our Class C RV...we have so many great memories in there together.

Love Class C RV. I love your RV
Hi Gigi,
Thanks so much! We love it too!

Mike

Thanks for the input...we are leaning toward buying a new RV but we shall see!

GREAT Tour!! Very nice to identify all the good…and bad!! Although I kind of like the old things….To stay up on he new features, I think you should sell for a new(er) RV. Need that elbow room!!😂😂
Haha YES! Mike needs his elbow room! Thank you for watching and commenting!

that was a great tour. one of my pet peeves is the corner bed also.. lol good info.
Glad you liked the tour!!!
Corner bed is comfy but not convenient!

The dinette eats so much space but considering the amount of stuff hidden under it, if you can afford it, I would consider getting something a bit newer just based on some of the more space efficient RVs you have shown us
Hi BadassUnicorn,
Yeah - moving all the stuff under the dinette would be a major challenge for sure and it would take a ton of work...
Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks for the video. Maybe it's time to list it. Have you considered a truck camper or another class of RV with better mpg?
We are considering a Class A RV...terrible gas mileage but more space for us to live while we travel. We have looked at Class B vans but there is no way we can live in one of those...just too small and very little storage.

I have had it
List it. But if you choose to love it, I would install a curved shower rod.
Hi Paul,
A curved shower rod would help for sure!

Even though I hate to say it with the price of RVs these days- List it. I think you could find an RV with a much better layout for the two of you. I do really like your RV and I think it really needs some color. 👍🏻
Hi Gypsy Roads!
The color is terrible! But a coat of paint could take care of that!

All that work and now they are gonna switch to a C? Ugh!

@@RVBlogger I tweeted this video to three prominent TH-cam families who have expressed an interest in either buying their first RV or switching to a smaller RV. I think it would be perfect for the musical Ukranian immigrant Protsenko Family.
Hi Frank,
That is a great perspective!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Mike and Susan
I'm not sure a remodel would be worth your while guys. There are so many systems changes that need to be done to accommodate your needs that I think it would take forever to get done and more than likely cost a small fortune. If you got into a remodel, you wouldn't be able to use the RV much this season either due to some of the major retrofitting that you discussed. Somewhere out there, is a person that is looking for exactly what you have. (Unfortunately, It would be perfect me, as I am single but I couldn't afford it) See you soon and I hope you make the right decision the both of you!!
Hi Chris,
Thanks for watching the video and for your comments!

I say sell it while used prices are high.

Hi Scout838,
We have never had that problem but this is why we also recommend flushing your black tank whenever you can so you remove any buildup that can occur.
We use our bathroom all the time.

thanks for this video
You are welcome! We love our Class C, even though she's a bit old and aged. It was a great used motorhome purchase. Thank you for watching the tour of our Class C and commenting.
Sell it and buy new(er). I’m hearing that RV repair shops don’t want to work on anything over 10 years old. And parts are getting hard to find for older rigs.
Hi Mark,
That is a great point! Parts for older RVs are definitely harder to find.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Mike and Susan
maybe we will see you on the road sometime 😉
YES!!! We sure hope so soon!! Are you lovin' yours? Safe travels!
