I updated my bic pl200 ii to pl 300 and wow what a big difference in movies it literally shakes my main door and windows...I don’t know it goes down to 15hz with one port plugged in and bass boost mode but it’s deep and chest pumping feeling
Hello, i have just ordered this sub today and it will be delivered in few days. Hope it sounds good for the movies as i haven't had a demo of this and just bought it after reading some good reviews. Hope i haven't made a wrong decision!
I have the Bic Acoustech Cinema 6 5.1 setup with the HL100 Sub...They are the all the HL series speakers i got back in i think 2006 and were recommended over Klipsch as a better bang for the buck from SoundDistributors dot com. They are really quite incredible considering i paid $799 at the time vs the i believe the $1400 i was going to pay for the Klipsch 5.1. Im glad the guy talked me out of it. They are very unknown underrated speakers. I'm tempted to upgrade and get the newer PL setup.
I’ve been rocking a BIC F12 for the past 4 yrs. I’m thinking of doing dual with an Atmos setup. BIC hasn’t let me down yet. So the obvious upgrade for me is the PL200 II. The only thing is that this sub hasn’t been labeled as a top 10 sub, funny enough the F12 is still highly regarded. I’ve listened to all of your demos and to me this thing thumps. Luckily sound is subjective to the listener. I’m gonna take the plunge. Keep up the good work brother. There aren’t enough videos on this sub. Perhaps it’s just SVS hogging the spot light.
Hey thanks for your comment, highly appreciated, please subscribe for more... Many popular websites havent reviewed this sub because they see it as an incremental upgrade over thr PL-200 but the improvements were warranted. I do aggree that SVS focuses alot on marketing, while BIC is just a humble company with millions of happy customers since 1973. SVS subs are indeed good, but this thing holds its own pretty well... As i told someone, 95% of movie soundtracks are not subsonic and occur well within the range of this sub and their budget.
KE7IN10454 I have listened to bic f12 in a dual set up and it was the best experience. I own a bic pl200-ii but if u can add another f12 it will be way better.
Aren't your front speakers way to close to eachother? I would definitely change places between fronts and subs if i were you and maybe angle the fronts a couple of degrees towards you. Nice setup btw :)
Thanks for you suggestion, but I have already rearranged them with subs inside and fronts slightly towed in. Thanks again for the compliment, It sounds so good
I'd say 60-40 in favour of movies, but they're quite musical because the bass is tight they're quite accurate... Checkout my single sub demos from last year, but I'll definitely be doing some music and movies with duals.
Very nice set up and review for us regular folks on a "budget"! I am currently running a trio of Klipsch subs in my set up. All 10" subs, the two front ones are older models with 200w rms and the back one is a newer 10" wireless model with 150w rms that is used mainly to shake the seating area. Ive been looking for budget friendly 12" subs to replace my 10"s and came up to these pl 200ii and the polk psw505. The polks are cheaper by $100 at regular price and 50w More rms than these pl 200ii's. It puts me on a bit of a choice. As the polks are yrs older than these ones and only peak at 450w i believe, while these peak at 1000w. Either way it would be an improvement over my current subs. Im a movie type of guy with the occasional music playlist. Have u had any real problems with ur pl 200ii's? The 8yr warranty also seems like piece of mind on the B.I.C's. My older Klipsch have never failed since i bought them in 2010, but i want to upgrade and the newer Klipsch models are above my budget for dual 12" with more power! Thanks!
No problems so far... These are a no brainer, and they are better than the Polk PSW505 in every way... Theyre more powerful, more accurate, look better and are more reliable, as if you read the reviews on Amaxon the recurring theme with the polks is amp failure and port noise, they tend to die after about 2 years. The BICs sound better any Klipsch in the $400 and under price range... They were sold at $329 at launch and for over a year, but price drop to $299 and $250 on sale means you can get duals on a budget quite easily.... If you get them please lemme know what you think... Please checkout my unboxing and other demos and subscribe
I had the polk psw505 and enjoyed it but the amp died within 3 years. Even so the BIC PL200II is a better sub and actually more powerful. The Polk's amp peaks at 460 watts and the BIC at 1,000 watts so it has more dynamic headroom. The BIC's dual ports should reduce chuffing sounds that my polk suffered from on loud deep passages. Add in the BIC's longer warranty and the choice is clear plus it's a much better looking sub.
There you go bro... They're that good I agree... My friend has the Monolith 10" and he's jealous at how good the BICs sound for music.... Thanks for watching man, please like the video if you haven't already and subscribe for more 🙏
@@JamaicaSocial That is the thing for pure output you can do better. But they are one of the best all rounders out there. I am deeply afraid of moving away from mine and loosing the base resolution and quickness you get with these. I also run their whole line from this series.
I recommend duals all the time, simply because they even out the bass in your space... Even if had only one subwoofer I'd choose this over the Klipsch... This is a better subwoofer, you can buy your family dinner with the savings
@@JamaicaSocial correct, I don't see the point in buying the Pl 200 II if I already have 1 Pl 200. Currently I have al bic mixed variety in a 7.1 configuration and id like to get a second matching sub woofer.
@@josefermalino461 okay still early days yet... But if it can deliver, I'd say go ahead.... But they do not offer a trial period and you may be stuck with it if you aren't impressed
Great job 👍👍👍. The subs are nice to look at and I'm sure you will enjoy them. Curious to hear your the on how they handle reggae music, especially dub. Nahmean 😊
The Bic America Acoustech PL-28ii is the matching center channel for this sub, but just about speaker can work with this sub. The relationship between the left and right front channel and the center speaker is more important... What speakers do you have as your fronts?
Those arent supports really, they are acoustic pads for decoupling my center channel speaker... It helps the vocals to be clearer as there is no resonance from the speaker lying on the tv stand or cabinet. They can be purchased on Amazon... Thanks for the review. You do realize that when you make a statement that "they do" get to 20 Hz that you need to back that up and the only way to do that is true acoustic analytics especially at that LOW frequency. You want to be legit and I want to believe you. Also, ehy don't you show us how you set these up?
