I love you are exposing scams in the guitar community! When I was 19 I was scammed by a guitar builder in my home town. He was getting some clout building guitars for Animals as leaders and Periphery back in 2011. The guy took my money and for months went dark and hide away to his parents house not responding to me at all. I wasnt the only person he scammed!

Nice video, appreciated the content. The SM7b is a good mic, for certain voices. Really got to shop carefully when buying a mic for your specific voice, for instance, when I worked in broadcast radio I worked with the Shure, spent a year doing shows with it. My next gig, I moved over and got to work with the mic that became my go to the RE20. Every voice is different, anyone will sound fine on the SM7B, the RE20, or the BCM 705. I really recommend people try those, and other broadcast staples out, listen to yourself pre EQ, one of them will sound more natural than the others.

@sixstringtv What level do you set for recording? I typically set it at -12db, and I don't usually need to boost in post. That way, I know what my noise floor is going to be, and I don't have to worry about raising it to unacceptable levels by boosting it after the fact. I'm by no means an expert at recording, but that's what works for me for podcasting/voice-over. I don't know what optimal levels are for TH-cam. Frankly, it seems that nobody does, considering how wildly volume levels vary across the platform (or even within the same video in some cases). 🙂

To me it looks like the mic is a little too far away from your mouth. Those mics are really meant to get close to get the best capture of your voice. Sounds great still from a little distance though, but it will get even more detailed and better levelled if you get it closer! :D

This sounds like TTM Guitars big time, i had one of their guitars year's ago, not gonna lie it was decent but not great, they claimed all usa parts, then when i dug deeper they said " all our parts are import" , they claimed neodymium magnet pickups with titanium pieces, which turned out to be ceramic pickups and rusted polepieces, the floyd rose might as well have been made from cheese, the flame maple top looked great but the body wood itself needed longer in the kiln before it was made into a body i think, was nowhere near dry and hard enough, NOT worth the money and all their claims are bullshit, i legit believe this is TTM guitars all over again, they claim new owners, its the same guy still

If I were you I'd think of sharing this info with any of the TH-cam channels that specialize in exposing scammers. Someone like Spencer Cornelia ( though he seems to mostly work in the crypto realm) or possibly the guy who exposed the Established Titles scam. Of course I get it if you want to respect the privacy of the person who was scammed.
Calling the victim a "timewaster" for being fearful of legal threats that arose after you started investigating is a bit harsh. A lawsuit can destroy someone's finances, which is much worse than losing a few days work on a video.

If I were you I'd think of sharing this info with any of the TH-cam channels that specialize in exposing scammers. Someone like Spencer Cornelia ( though he seems to mostly work in the crypto realm) or possibly the guy who exposed the Established Titles scam. Of course I get it if you want to respect the privacy of the person who was scammed.
A good reporter respects the anonymity of his sources if they so wish. Kaylen wouldn’t ever do that if he promised not to.

Calling the victim a "timewaster" for being fearful of legal threats that arose after you started investigating is a bit harsh. A lawsuit can destroy someone's finances, which is much worse than losing a few days work on a video.

Dude. If someone is reaching out to try to expose a what sounds like very serious scam that could be breaking laws, and then they abort the mission after a little bit of pressure, it’s only fair to call them a time waster.
@@sixstringtv1 It doesn't matter if they win the case in the end, as I'm sure they would have. Cases can take years and cost hundreds of thousands before reaching a verdict, which the guy may not want to risk after he was threatened with it.
