43 years old and have been listening to MxPx and Millencolin since high school. I saw mxpx play a show with the Vandals and the Ataris in Guadalupe, California in 1997. It was called the Turd Town Tour. Mike got his bass string caught on someone’s facial piercing 😂

Dude! Punk o rama 5 was the first place I ever heard millencollin too! But the song on that comp is Black Eye. Still my all time fav by them. So glad i randomly picked up that comp at the record store all those years ago.

It's funny to hear someone not swedish sing "the kid the whole day", which is a literal translation of a swedish expression. "Grabben hela dan" means someone who is happy, funny, helpful, alert. Peppy, I guess you would say in english. I've always enjoyed when Millencolin put swedish references in their lyrics. Like Battery Check for instance, to fully get it I guess you have to know that Linné is a part of Gothenburg where Nikola lives today and by driving north on E20 from Gothenburg you end up in his hometown Örebro after about 300km.
What I find absolutely staggering about this version is Mike's ability to match Nikola's enunciation. He does such a great job of imitating the timbre of his voice. There's something about how Nikola sing that is generally only heard in non-native speakers singing in English. (Hi-standard are similiar) Mike crushes it here. Amazing cover.

Pennybridge pioneers is one of my favorite albums ever. Listened to it once a week for 20+ years. I love this cover. Im an "essential worker" but while I was working someone stabbed me in the abdomen a month ago. I was essentially quarantined in bed and love all the quarantine vids from goldfinger and offspring etc. Thank you Mike. Adam from NJ

My love for MXPX happened in high school, and helped me in regards to my chronic PTSD. I'm in my 30's now, but I still have fond memories of so many songs. I lived out in WA for 5 years and got super excited passing by Bremerton, haha. Millencolin also was one of my favs too, so to see you covering this just warms my heart.
