FINALLY! Someone who knows how to play piano reviews one of these! I've been wondering if this can be used as a "practice" travel piano, even if it isn't the best quality, but if it couldn't play multiple-note chords, it'd be useless. This really, really helped. Thank you so much!

I am wondering if you purchased one of these? I wanted one for the same reasons as you, but I have a problem with them "re triggering" as my finger move on the key. Do you have this issue? If not, what model do you use? I have tried 2 so far. "Donner" and "Andsf" The second has a very good review rating on Amazon 4.5 stars. Thanks in advance for any help or advice. Ken C.

Phenomenal, I love you blues riffs! Your playing is what made this piango sound so good. For some people this thing isn't suitable, but this review demonstrates what it's capable of when you can really play. Besides, it's a silicone roll up piano, what do people expect. People complaining were probably looking for a cheap beginners keyboard, when something like this needs some previous experience on a real piano. I don't think it was intended to be anything but an on the go, practice keyboard. For that purpose and given the fact that you can literally unfold an 88 key piano when you're out for walk is amazing and worth purchasing. Finally, a way to play piano while walking my dogs

And if I was given one ad a gift or randomly saw one second hand for super cheap I would certainly buy it and have fun playing with it , take it in my backpack places. Lol.

Hi Kris, thank you so much for your review, and for all of your videos. I enjoy hearing you play, keep up the awesome work! I was trying to get in touch with you to enquire more about this keyboard, but it seems that your website is down. Anyway, I'm looking into getting one of these types of keyboards for when I'm on the go, jamming with friends or at get togethers with extended family and such. I would also like to get it for midi use as I have an iPad with a bunch of piano apps on it, but only a 49 key keyboard to use it with. Of course, I would be buying one with the understanding that it's not as good quality as a proper keyboard. And I'm OK with that as I don't play professionally and don't intend to use it in a professional setting.
This being said, I have a few questions, and would greatly appreciate your feedback please on the following:
    1. How easy is this keyboard to use for someone like myself who is blind or visually impaired? Are the keys and buttons on this keyboard easy to feel and identify? I had the chance to test a roll-up midi keyboard at my favourite music store here in Hamilton, Canada, I can't remember which one it was, but it was hard for me to feel the keys.
    2. Were you able to find out whether the keyboard is touch sensitive? If not, and if you are aware of any, could you please suggest me one that is?
    3. I have a sustain pedal that I use with my current keyboard, and was wondering whether the Piango can be used with a sustain pedal other than the one which it came with?
Many thanks in advance for your responses! Take care, and again, please keep up the awesome work!

Thanks for taking the time to review this product! I noticed notes are not re triggering when you play. I have tried 2 and had the issue with both. If I want to hold down bass notes, the notes will re trigger as my fingers move on the keys. Perhaps I should try this particular model? I am ok with the tones and I use my IEM's which block out the pedal clicking. Thanks very much for any info. and/or advice. Ken C.

Great review!! I've watched you and another guy review these things, and I'm convinced that it's basically a miss. In order for it to sound good at all, you had to bypass the internal sounds and use it as a MIDI controller to good piano VST apps. The ads make it seem like it would sound good and be fun to play right out of the box. Even as a controller, it's not velocity sensitive, so Chopin nocturnes are out. If it costs the same as a basic hammer action digital piano, it's probably a better investment to swing by a local music store and pick one up.

It’s awesome when a masterful musician does a review on these types of products. I literally was going to purchase one of these, and now I absolutely will not. At least not at this point. The idea of a rollup keyboard is great, and very convenient. However, a true to heart musician would seriously have a hard time with that touch response (or lack there of) sound quality to me is not such a big deal as long as it’s MIDI compatible, but even with that being said most musicians don’t just play and hear the music, but they also “feel” the music, so again touch and response matters.

Is this ROLL UP PIANGO 88 something a beginner could use to start learning the keyboards? I am looking at the PianoForAll online course on Udemy and am tempted to start learning. Would appreciate all feedback, thanks. Peace.

vernonae yes it’s good for a beginner but for the price you can get a Williams digital piano with 88 semi weighted keys

No No! This is not even a good toy let alone a musical instrument. It would be like learning to ski using a Nintendo machine and thinking that has something to do with real skiing. Not a good introduction to the real activity whatsoever. Anyone with real potential or interest will be totally discouraged by this immediately. The physical feel of it is most unpleasant. You can get a used keyboard with weighted touch sensitive keys at any pawn shop for equal or less money and have something actually useful.

I just ordered the 88key lujex roll up piano from amazon. Do you think the piango rollup would be better?

Did you find with this keyboard when hitting the keys that they repeat themselves when holding them down or do they just make one sound? I’ve noticed on some of the other reviews of roll up pianos that the keys will repeat which I would not want.

What is the polyphony on this keyboard? That is, how many keys can be pressed simultaneously before the next key won't register?

May not be the best it could be but I'm just a starter so I shouldn't be doing chords any time soon XD Thx for the accurate review

Do you think it could be a useful tool for arrangers and composers?

Was interested in this just to have an 88 keyboard to play on but can it really not play chords?

Does anyone own one of these roll up pianos? I see that a lot of these support "MIDI out" but I don't see a MIDI jack. I was wondering how he was able to hook it up to his Ipad and use it as a MIDI controller.

To Kmn: At 11:00 minutes: I think you are more familiar with this instrument than you want us to realize.

thank you for the great review - even without the touch sense, it could be fine (as you've already told) to feel some music anywhere, of course not to practice piano
is it possible for you to share the apps and setup used?
    thank you.

Even my Schoenhut toddler's piano was touch sensitive.
