What a beautiful and majestic place. Time alone and the wilderness is great for the body and soul. And you have your best friend too to share your adventures. What more could you ask for.
Down in Florida caring for my mom....33 degrees this morning which is unusual but watching your video first thing this morning made mefeelat home. Can’t wait to come back to mts and put upmy pacific dome. It is quite luxurious but as an artist the space is nice. I love living closer to nature and becoming part of it instead of blocking it out. I sure love your video
Really enjoy your videos been looking for your website on TH-cam for four months now I lost my other phone to a shattered screen and yesterday I stumbled upon it and my search history and I was like yeah I can finally watch him again really appreciate your content I admire living in the winter that's the best kind of camping cuz there's no bugs from the summer
Thank you for following, Kathy! Yeah, Sierra is so much fun and I feel fortunate to have such a great travel companion with me. We are currently in Arizona trying to purchase a small off-grid ranch so I need to post an update video this morning to let everyone know what's going on. Hope you are having a great start to the weekend, thank you for tuning in ~ Brian
I spent a year living in a tent in a commercial campground in Colorado not far from there. I miss it so much! It was my favorite place to live and hoping to incorporate the best parts of that lifestyle after my kids are grown.
me being a person with no tolerance to cold whatsoever (i got frostbites on April), seeing you touch the snow with bare hands, brought me anxiety and cold hands..!!!!!! snow scenery looks amazing though!
Your starting to look well again, you and Sierra which is great. You seem more enthusiastic but that just might be because of the snow. We know how much you love the snow. Keep well 🙂
LOVEEEE your videos! Love Sierra 🐕! How you live is beautiful! I’ve never seen that much snow. I live in tornado alley in Texas. Our weather is hot here so much when a cool stream comes thru it’s 🌪. I’ve sadly never experienced snow like you have. When my last of 3 kids (youngest is the last one left at home and in high school) enlist into the Marine Corp I am going to buy a skoolie/rv/something 😉! I crave it yearn rather for full time travel in the US. 🏕
Love it, you have a super nice setup, lots of work to keep things going, I have like 5 tents ha slept in the high mts and the swamps, froze, wet, sweated never seen a tent that does not leak best thing in winter I ever bought was all wool clothing and wool blankets that is how the old times made it in da bush, wish I was there Love It!!
Awesome man, most Americans have no idea how cozy a winter tent with a wood stove can be. If you havn't screwed your stovepipe together with some sheet metal screws you might think about that and guying it out with wire to the tent poles perhaps too. I'd hate for strong winds to separate your pipe leading to unsafe conditions.
Happy you and Sierra are back in our great state. I wish things were open--usually take a winter trip to Cottonwood Hot Springs (yup, old hippie here). Enjoy the weather and keep warm!
Oh gosh it look beautiful all that snow Colorado it know for the huge snow storms, I live in East Coast New Jersey and sometime we get huge snow storms at time during the winter season but I was born in NYC so I love the cold, Lol...
Nice looking area. Just came across your videos. Reminds me of where I grew up. I used to live in Blackfoot. It’s about an hour and a half north of Denver. Love the openness. Especially with your best friend. Lol. Good luck out there. Stay warm brother!
We're having our second massive snowstorm up here in the Yukon and I'm happy I don't have to go out in it!! It sure is pretty though, that's a beautiful spot you have! I hate shovelling but LOVE walking in the untouched snow!!
And here I am in Canada and its raining in Eastern Ontario .. if this keeps up no ice fishin until January...grrrr.. jealous of your weather brother. ;) lol
We spent a few weeks around Estes Park in a rented camper van in Feb.2018. The water bottles froze solid on the worktop but stayed unfrozen in the fridge!! We put milk/water in fridge to keep from freezing inside the van!!😳
Those panels reduce huge with just a little bit of obstruction - so if you are clearing your panels make sure you get everything off - it makes a huge dif! The newer panels are a tad better. I have new & almost 8 year old panels.
One of the best parts is in sone areas , camping the rest of the year is overcrowded. In winter time, no one is out, you can have an area all to yourself. No bugs too
Sure wish our tent had more options for hanging things from the ceiling. And I wish there was built in door flaps for the bottom air draft vents and above the door and and the other side.
Great vid, looks like a beautiful spot. Watch out for the vestibule pole with the snow, mine collapsed under some wet snow and had to be replaced. I wish it was a litlle more robust like the tent poles, seems like they undersized it for the load it needs to support.
Love the videos! Can I make one safety suggestion? Maybe keep your truck clear of snow in case you injure yourself and have to leave in a hurry. Just a thought! Stay safe up there!
I've been watching your stuff for awhile now and been getting serious ideas On building a truck bed camper I just acquired a topper for my f350 With the door in the center that you talked about in the last video Been building it step by step cant wait to get it done and get out there!!!! Lol
Brian, Ever consider using a diesel portable heater to augment the stove? Less work, no condensation like propane, sips fuel. May give you a break from the constant “feed the beast” wood stove.
Hi Micmac, I thought about it but I prefer the wood stove for ambiance. I really love working with a stove and it's great for cooking. I've been around a few diesel heaters and they all seem to have a little bit of a rhythmic knocking noise which I think might bother me while I'm trying to sleep.
I’ve only just discovered your channel and have become addicted to your videos! How do you find a long term camping spot? What advice would you offer somebody considering a similar lifestyle?
Greetings. I started watching this at about 6:30 a.m. When I got home I couldn't get the internet. Tried again with the same results. I decided to examine the inside of my eyelids. Finally I got the internet back up, but I had to start over. I had two minutes left to watch and my wife says, dinner is ready. I knew better than to ask if I could have two more minutes. When I got to finish, it would not let me start where I left off. So, I fast forwarded to my spot that I left off. I can tell you that it was worth the hassle. Great show Brian. I hope that you get a another foot of snow. Take care my friend. Vaughn
I love winter camping,I really love the snow and the cold. But what do you do when its summer time/desert. Do you have an A/C ? In cali,it gets over 110 pretty easily in the beginning of summer.
@No Malice my current situation won't allow me to Just do it! Although that would be amazing if I could.. in the meantime I'm greatful for the opportunity to live vicariously through this video!!! 💙
I love it when I see dogs so excited outside. Just guileless creatures enjoying life to the fullest.
Cats, too. 😘
This is what amazing peace looks like. How many of us in this comment thread would love to do this? 🖐
I would live like this
Yp
You can.. sign up for doordash/uber eats, work for a week or two then take a week or two out in the wilderness. Rinse and repeat
I have in a different way and it’s got it’s moments
When I winter camped for several weeks I had a second full cover over my tent and I used cardboard and foamboard in between to help insulate it.
Colorado has some of the most beautiful mountains in the country. Such an awesome place for the outdoor enthusiasts.
I'm camping right now up here where I live in Michigan. Watching this in the same tent. ⛺ I enjoy ur videos.
Excellent, peaceful content as usual. A snowstorm has that calmness that's so inviting in an environment like this.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed this video! I'm having a blast out here ~ Brian
I'm here for the snow!!
Patiently waiting for our first big one here in Michigan. In the meantime I'll keep enjoying the sunshine!!
What a beautiful and majestic place. Time alone and the wilderness is great for the body and soul. And you have your best friend too to share your adventures. What more could you ask for.
Glad health is improving! Winter camping is a special thing for most of us, but a daily event for you!
Be well, stay safe, and take good care.
Awesome way to spend the Winter. It makes me smile everytime you show Sierra having such a good time. Thanks for sharing.
I love that you call your dog "Sweetie." I call my cats that. Stay warm.
Thanks Pamela, we are keeping cozy by the stove this evening. Just started snowing at camp again, I love it! ~ Brian

You're so good to Sierra..it says so much about a person, in how they treat an animal. She's such a sweet girl. The snow is beautiful.

Very good place for tents
This is the life I've longed to live for damn near 39 years. With how this year went, I need to make this happen for myself. Life is too short.
👍👍
Great idea that would be awesome 👌
Glad I'm not the only one who deals with videos not saving lol. The worst feeling ever! Stay warm and safe!
Happy you and Sierra are back in our great state. I wish things were open--usually take a winter trip to Cottonwood Hot Springs (yup, old hippie here). Enjoy the weather and keep warm!

Hi Brian and Ms Sierra. The snow ❄ is so beautiful I just love cold weather. I live in the wrong place . Great video!

Snow camping they say is very peaceful though lots of work, envy you guys, we don't have snow here in the Philippines...

Excellent!
Stay well - Stay safe
Really enjoyed the video, subscribed from the UK. Mike
Arent you scared of bears sleeping with food in the tent? Or is that more a concern in the summer?
Always amazing videos!

How warm is it in ur tent when u run the stove
You should put a Christmas tree up in your tent.
I agree. Hang some lights into it
Yeah! Jesus is the reason for the season!🎄❤️❤️❤️
@@slowjamcdub I agree, a tree would be nice and festive.
He has trees around him. I think that's the point
Nice way of life brother!! Love these videos! Take care and be safe out there! Merry Christmas

I love winter camping,I really love the snow and the cold. But what do you do when its summer time/desert. Do you have an A/C ? In cali,it gets over 110 pretty easily in the beginning of summer.
Use your snow brush for your truck, to clean tent off.
Looks great I like the new go pro 👍
If I could live like that, I would give anything, just to live one day in your shoes!
@No Malice my current situation won't allow me to Just do it! Although that would be amazing if I could.. in the meantime I'm greatful for the opportunity to live vicariously through this video!!! 💙
