My pleasure! Thanks for watching! So glad I was able to help you express your creative talent to make them an awesome home!
Beautyfull 😁👍

@@Reptiliatus i have terrarium with armadillum, but the version colors most cost in the online market 😓
Bet you're super glad to have your hands on some of these isopods. They're all beautiful, good luck with them!

Porcellio Expansus are really cool! Congrats on so many awesome isopods... Thank you Ashley :)
Going to start a collection, thanks for the info and sharing.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
LOVE!!! One of my favorite animals, so cute 😭😭
Bro you posted isopod you are going to gain subscriber
OMG! I waited so lonnnggggg for this video!! So happy to have watched it now. Some lovely sp and some I’ve yet to add to my list of sp I keep. I’ve currently got 9 sp/morphs. Good luck with them Dayyan and please keep me updated on the population growth! I’ve actually got some scabers similar to your lava native in my garden in the U.K., they seem fairly common over here! :D
Thanks for such a informative video on isopods! I have a new appreciation!
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video! :)
I thought your friend was just sat there rolling up until I seen the sellotape on her leg at 00:24
Isopods are the best
You got that right! :)
This was a fun video and I learned about isopods for the first time. Loved the different colour.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
beautiful color isopoda 👍
I want to make a futurama style vivarium for the cow 🐄 kind!
Super cool i remember them as a kid.. I have recently started keeping ants and now I want to start searching g out isopods.. I have been finding some large inch + not including antenna ect (rolls into ball style) dead which I want to try ID... iv been meaning to keep one to get pics.. you have some absolutely epic species!
Pretty cool isopods man, the dairy cow are super cool
PsyDex thanks for watching mate! Dairy cows are awesome! I love them! Btw, subbed your channel!
@@Reptiliatus They are! Thanm you! I'm also subbed to you :)
Thanks very much!
Zebras sound screed the hell out of my dog lol
I love rolly polly's
me too!
Can Armadillidium lucia be housed with Porcellio without hybridising?
I love Isopods! I am up to about 15 species/morphs myself. I particularly love the Spanish/ Iberian peninsula species. My favorites are probably the 'Seville' and P. Hoffmanseggii. They get huge! I have an Entomology degree from Auburn University here in Alabama, but technically they're not insects anyways! Great video D! I hope you are settling in well on the West Coast, take care!
Kason Furnas thanks so much! That’s so great, good for you! I LOVE my P. hoffmanseggi! They actually just produced some mancae a few days ago so the colony is officially growing!
By the way D, I have tons of those Orange Dalmatian Scabers, literally hundreds; however, I do not have the regular pied or Dalmatian morph. I'm loving those lavas! I don't have any of those, yet!
The lavas are gorgeous! I'm loving them!
@@Reptiliatus Hey D! If you will send me a list of the isopods you have and your address I'll be happy to mail you some different morphs. However I've never shipped anything to Canada so I'll have to research that, but I would love to help in any way I can! Maybe you can find me on Facebook if you do that. I'll look for you on there, I don't know your last name but since your first name is fairly unique, if you have a profile it should be relatively easy to find. Have a great day brother!
roly poly (pillbug) enthusiasts... we're on FB
Cool. Invest in a light
Haha, yes, sorry I actually have one but we hadn't unpacked it after my move across country yet! Thanks for watching!
The Porsilio bolivars was so fun! My favorite by far, lol. Is it called like that because of its homeland, Bolivia?
They are incredible, aren't they?! One of my favourites too for sure!
They get in my shower and I have to rescue them
Cool species Bro 👍👊
Thanks so much!
@@Reptiliatus anytime 👍
My sister and I would capture isopods (roly poly). Unfortunately we were stupid kids and they died. I feel bad.
Loved the video, but if i had a dollar for every ‘interesting’ tho
BC1009152 how many dollars would you have exactly? 😉
Thanks for watching!
I love my isopods, mine just came as miscellaneous 🤷🏻♀️ most are grey but I’ve gotten some orange & almost white since I got them around 8 months ago
well that's super cool! You could isolate some of the morphs popping up and try some selective breeding! :)
Reptiliatus I was thinking of doing that ☺️ they are so interesting
The owner of the local reptile store that I go to knows that I like isopods and the I always get new ones every time I go to an expo, ask me if I was interested in selling some in a store. Sometime this week I'm going to make some Armadillidium maculatum, Armadillidium nasatum, Armadillidium nasatum "peach", Cylisticus convexus, Porcellio laevis "dairy cow", Porcellio scaber "Laval", Porcellio scaber "dalmatian", Porcellionides pruinosus "powder blue" and Trichorhina tomentosa" dwarf White" cultures to sell him. I have a ton of powder blue cultures to make. They just seem to breed like crazy for me.
Awesome! Isolons are so cool! Enjoy them! Thanks for watching!
Where can I get some P. Expansus?
But where are the giant ones ?
Is it me or the Zebra isopod is the closet family to pill millipede. I have 10 different cultures and the only one that would roll up is Armadillidium maculatum.
That's exactly why they look like that. They share the same range as the millipede and mimic them as a defense.
I started a wild type culture of armadillidium vulgare. Im gonna try to breed my own strains cause im too broke to buy isopods. Plus its more fulfilling if i do it myself. I hope i get some unique traits as i breed and raise them.
Mr. Black breed. Sell. Buy new ones 👆🏻
@@testosteratort.5660 that depends on if i can get a buyer. But if not, at least I'll still have isopods
Mr. Black if no one will buy search for neighbours with ponds and sell em as food. First let them try if the Fish eat some and then u can sell some maybe. Have ideas 👆🏻
@@testosteratort.5660 feeder isopods, af least with A. Vulgare, will require a population of thousands to produce enough in a reasonable amount of time due to the slower maturation rate. But i like the idea, i have a wild population of the lavas in my yard, so i might use those as feeders cause they grow faster
Some are almost 6 picas big.
how do you pack them properly for mailing ? i wonder if there are proper guideline and instructions?
JunkersJu109 It’s similar to the way you pack most small inverts.
haha ur so dry about it here in the Netherlands it takes years to find a new specie haha
Haha I love them! Sorry if I didn’t seem enthusiastic, I was!
Have you since stopped keeping these tiny beauties? I don't see any recent isopod videos in the last couple years on the channel, but I can see you've migrated to bigger and better, I suppose 🥹❤️
