Denver has the NFL record for the longest sellout streak, plus their fans are very loyal to the team (even during the bad times). Sure, they only won 3 Super Bowls, but they've been one of the better powerhouses of the AFC throughout their history by appearing in 8 Super Bowls (tied for the 2nd most in NFL history).
Having grownup in WNY but lived on the front range for many years, my perspective is that Denver fans are pretty good. Better than I thought they'd be when I first moved here. And with the added energy Russell Wilson has brought, even moreso lately. But compared to B-lo, there's just no comparison. Buffalo has insanely devoted fans. They live, sleep, eat and breathe The Bills, 24-7, 365, come better or worse (and it's usually worse, but they stay just as devoted.) The Broncos have very good fans. And that's fine. But just can't compare to B-lo.

A local mom & pop store here, a hokey rural amusement park there, some lazy river fishing everywhere..... Football is all we have in GB. For Atlanta, you can't forget about Georgia Tech. The football we know today wouldn't exist if it weren't for Heisman and Georgia Tech in the 1910s and 1920s. And as a resident of Baton Rouge, I can absolutely confirm that you can't go nowhere in the state without seeing Saints merch, even places like Shreveport and Monroe up north. And while I may live in Louisiana, I'm still a Falcons fan at heart. Geaux Dirty Birds!
I'm a Rams fan. The Rams do have plenty of lifelong fans in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. Not just LA. They did pretty well in terms of attendance when they were at the Coliseum. Which is notoriously difficult if it/was to sell out. Since they won the Super Bowl plus the appeal of SoFi Stadium itself. This could also be said about the Chargers but since LA is a city of transplants, people will be loyal to their home team. But the Rams do have a fan base and it'll only grow. LA is getting a bit better with the Rams. I live close to there so I’m starting to see more Rams fans here. Players like Stafford, Kupp, and Donald are also becoming icons here. The Chargers are a bit different though... The Raiders just need to be given a bit more time. The team just moved to Vegas a couple years ago and they’re getting better and better with each year. If they return to the playoffs this season, expect the support to increase even more. Buffalo should be at the top. Dallas has a lot of competition and is probably mostly so football-heavy due to the team’s notoriety. Green Bay is also up there, but I personally think table jumping takes the cake. The Packers are pretty much the only thing in northern Wisconsin. Every single home game, including preseason, is sold out. The season ticket waiting list is so long if you bought tickets today, your grandkids might get them if you're lucky. The streets are all named after famous Packers players and coaches. On game day, every backyard in the entire city becomes a parking lot. Three times a year, they play a "Milwaukee package" game, and traffic backs up along two different freeways for about 100 miles. The Packers are one of the oldest and most successful franchises in the NFL. There's no way Green Bay doesn't top this list. New York City should've been in the top 10 had the Jets built the stadium in either Brooklyn or Queens and the Giants built it in the Bronx or Staten Island that would have worked big-time Exactly, building a stadium in the middle of a swamp in the middle of nowhere was a pretty dumb decision Interesting List. I live in Michigan and have always been a huge fan of football through the Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions. Football will always be my favorite sport to watch. Although, if there is any form of historical significance in this, you would say that Detroit is much more of a hockey city. Such it is when the Red Wings have 11 Stanley Cups. Not saying the success of the team should be factored into this list, football is still a huge deal here, no question. Historically though, hockey is what this state has been all about. Even if you just look at college sports, basketball isn’t far behind football. I live in Grand Rapids and am a Packers fan. However, you are 💯 right about Detroit being a Hockey town first. Probably even put the Tigers/Baseball before football in terms of popularity. Maybe it'll change if the Lions can sustain success. Please do a Video about the biggest fanbases outside the us for NFL teams The Rams and Chargers are starting to become good so the football in LA will be on the rise Having two teams in LA is the height of hubris. You guys should do NFL players you didn’t know had kids You guys should do this with college football the top 10 would be at least 7 SEC teams Denver in my opinion is a football city. I don’t really watch hockey so I don’t know about avalanche attendance. Also, no one really goes to Nuggets games, so I still think football is the biggest sport here in Colorado 8:21 “Football will always be king in Carolina” def not true. Chapel Hill is heavily basketball, but I mean Raleigh Durham, and other parts of the region are heavily hockey now, which is surprising. As someone who lives in Tampa, Arena Football was the sport to watch when the Storm were around. Truly a shame that they aren't back. The Rams have actually been doing pretty well in attracting fans. When they’re winning, the fans definitely show up. Right now, the Rams r among the top 3 most popular LA-based sports teams in their respective region, along with/ the Lakers and Dodgers. However, the biggest issue is when the 49ers, Raiders, or Cowboys come to town, cuz then, well… yea good luck to the Rams w/ that…
First off Dallas are only called “America’s team” because the Steelers refused it. Secondly Pittsburgh’s fans are all over the country, and most travel if they can. Certainly need to be placed higher then 5th.
A swing and a miss on Vegas. The placement is right, but not because of the tourist stuff. We avoid that stuff like the plague. This is a hockey town, our Golden Knights were with us after our biggest tragedy and we love them for that. The Raiders were MIA even knowing that they were moving here. They need to prove themselves before we'll give them our love.
Raiders made the playoffs, it’s not like they’re putting a bad product out there. But I understand. Golden Knights are a Vegas original while Raiders came from Oakland.
Vegas is a hockey town? Would not have guessed. I mean without lakes and the weather to freeze them over, how is it that popular? Like how do the children get introduced to the sport. How do they play it on a whim? Southern cities with hockey teams is just something I never understood.
The Golden Knignts were here during the 10/1 shootings, and they were everywhere, with the people giving blood, and at every charity event for the survivors. Then they seemed to put the city on their shoulders and went to the finals, though they were just an expansion team, our Golden misfits. There are several indoor rinks now where kids can get into the sport.

The guy ON THE VIDEO doesn’t know what he’s talking about, the rams just won a super bowl there’s definitely a lot of rams fans in LA also a bunch of raiders fans
While that is true. Whenever they play the Niners,Raiders,Cowboys,Steelers,Eagles,Packers,Chiefs & Broncos at home there will consistently be more Away fans. Despite the SB.
Fellow rams fan here- I live in NorCal so this might be why, but I have yet to meet an actual real-life Rams fan. And just from watching our games on TV, it’s looks like our SoFi is always invaded by away teams. Especially against the 49ers. Also I feel like The Raiders/Rams have a split custody of LA with them being in Los Ángeles for a decent amount of time after the Rams moved to STL. I really do want a fanbase to grow around the Rams though, its starting to feel kinda lonely
There's just no way. Green bay has WON 818 games. Buffalo's only played 985. There are life long Packer fans who have reached 100 YEARS OLD. I rest my case.

Browns fans are some of the most loyal fans i know. And i dnt know about the rest of us, but me personally as a panthers fan, we dont give up on our team.
A lot of this stuff seems to be… controversial. Imo, Buffalo > Dallas, especially since Buffalo has NO COMPETITION (besides the Sabres) and while the Mavs, Rangers and Stars don’t compare, still. Also NYC and Boston should be much lower if the football teams aren’t the most popular. Nashville and Pittsburgh are “small markets.” Ok sure but where are they supposed to go
Im a native Houstonian and football is my fave. We are a football town and all, but the Astros doing well has made them bigger. But you had to admit the Texans since joining the league have been slightly below average, yet have soldout every game. We just have soooooo many transfers from other cities/states that live in or around thr city and they bring their love for the teams. It can be hard to be a Texans fan😂
As a person from Pittsburgh, this list is shit. Pittsburgh has some of the best fans of all time. Also, just ‘cause Dallas has a sign at there stadium saying they are America’s team does not make them number 2, Pitt should be 2.
Pittsburgh should be number one ,the whole city is black and yellow gold and they love their steelers, I don't live there but I'm a lifelong steelers fan for over 44 years
As a Philadelphia Sports Fan NYC Should Be Higher in My Mind Since There’s 3 NHL Teams, 2 MLB Teams and 2 NFL Teams Along With 2 NBA Teams in The Same Area in North NJ and NY!
Wrong they became Americas team bc it was given to them when they were winning a lot not even just taht but the pure talent they had over the many years. Literally Barry Sanders said it was the reason why he wanted to play for the cowboys. Stop tryna discredit them. Look at his The pivot interview for one example.
Considering you didn't bother to mention the Sabres while talking about the Bills...yeah, I understand why. Glad to see the Bills this high up. I knew Green Bay would be #1.
If we are talking about love of football in general at ALL levels, I don't know how there are that many teams ahead of Atlanta. Besides love for teams like the Falcons and Dawgs: 1. There are loyal fanbases even for smaller teams in the metro like Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Kennesaw State 2. As a transplant city, we have a ton of fans of other programs like Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Notre Dame, etc. 3. We are home to the College Football Hall of Fame 4. Atlanta is probably the most recruited major metro for college football programs 5. High school football is a way of life in some communities around Atlanta and Georgia in general. 6. We packed the house for lower level pro teams like the Arena Football League's Georgia Force. 7. Look into the insane number of places that sell wings and chicken fingers in Atlanta and tell me we don't always prepare for a game to watch.
I'd say that the Georgia Bulldogs are somewhat more popular than the Atlanta Falcons, granted the Falcons have a good fan base. The Bulldogs are two time defending national champions as of 2023. Of major league sports, the Braves are Atlanta's most popular team, followed by the Falcons, the United, then the Hawks.

Philadelphia Eagles 8. Kansas City Chiefs 9. Cleveland Browns 10. Atlanta Falcons The Worst would probably be. 1 is worst, 5 is the least worst of the worst) 1. Los Angeles Chargers 2. Jacksonville Jaguars 3. Las Vegas Raiders 4. Washington Commanders 5. Cincinnati Bengals 6. Buffalo Bills 7. Miami Dolphins 8. Indianapolis Colts 9. Los Angeles Rams 10. San Francisco 49ers Middle of the pack (in no particular order) Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Detroit Lions
Cleveland and Buffalo, no others are even close. Philly and Green Bay get honorable mentions. Edge to Cleveland because they are the only fans EVER to take on the NFL and win their team back. Plus, pro football started nearby in Canton, so there’s that.
Green Bay is not the biggest city, but for four months out of the year the entire city revolves around the Packers, and the other 8 revolves around anticipation of the next season.
Jacksoville and Tampa are huge football towns. Way more than LA. The only problem is that we care WAY more about College Football. If im in Tallahassee on Saturday, im not going to bust my ass to get to Jacksoville for the game on Sunday
You forget to mention the Giants for San Francisco. Also, I feel that Denver should be a bit higher. Broncos and Jazz are the only sports fans I see in Utah.
As someone who grew up just outside of Denver in Lakewood and only about twenty minutes away from The Old Mile High Stadium/Present Day Encharge Field I can confirm Denver is very much a Football Town and The Broncos even to this day and despite some recent mediocre seasons The Broncos are still the Main Event in Town and that is still the case with the recent success of The Avs and Nuggets (the Rockies still suck but still do quite well attendance wise oddly) cause for a long time before Denver was a "Major Sports Market"The Broncos and The Nuggets were the only games in town and The Broncos are still The Kings of Sport in Denver as well as Colorado and a great deal of The Rocky Mountain West!!!
@@Ramblebar The location of Coors field has a lot to do with the attendance. Being right next to the heart of downtown makes it quite accessible. Besides, it's a pretty enjoyable place to watch a game.
I understand why Cincinnati is at #21, but after living here all my life I don’t necessarily agree with it. High school football has always been insane here, and Bengals fans have had a reawakening since Joe Burrow. I see so many people wearing bengals gear now. Also the energy at Paycor is on another level, you can tell people are super excited that the bengals are finally good 😂
The Angels aren’t even in LA, they are in Anaheim. Calling them LA is like calling the Anaheim Ducks “Los Angeles Ducks” Heck, Honda Center and Angel Stadium are just across a highway from each other. To be fair, Anaheim is in the LA metro area
Definitely, you rarely see anyone wearing Angels gears within L.A. County (especially in the DTLA area), except for street gangs that wear them to represent their gang names and identity.
@@DieYuppiieSkum The divide in the Los Angeles area is massive. The Dodgers have almost complete dominance in Los Angeles County, Ventura County, and San Bernardino County. The Angels have almost complete dominance in Orange County and are also more supported in Riverside County.

North Carolina is a well-rounded state. Best College Basketball state in the USA. Well Supported NHL team, the Hurricanes. I've been a fins fan all my life when we are bad fans don't show up but we have a great group of loyal fans (like myself) so I hope in the future we can get more fans in the building. Or get the stadium close to the heart of Miami because now the stadium is about 45 minutes away from downtown so maybe a stadium move could boost attendance.
It’s amazing to me how the year 2009 has haunted the Jags for what is almost 15 years. I can tell that you do absolutely no research as Jacksonville consistently ranks between 15 and 25 in attendance with two exceptions of 2009 and 2021 in which they 30th (not even last) with 2021 making sense because they were in the midst of two back-to-back last place finishes. I know it’s long hanging fruit to pick on Duval, but it is an outdated trope.

Definitely the Rams have been doing great and winning a Super Bowl title for L.A. County, while the Chargers are [still] struggling to gain fans, win more games, signing well known players, reach the postseason, spread their identity, and obtain their "Fight For L.A.," campaign, which unfortunately they already lost to it to the Rams who owns the bragging rights.
@@DieYuppiieSkum The Chargers are going to be the Chargers no matter if they are in LA, San Diego, or Mars. They are well known for having great teams who just can't seem to win when it comes. But alas. I'm pulling for the Chargers though. They are the Clippers of the NFL.
As someone who used to live in Colorado, the Avs, and Nuggets don't have nearly the amount of popularity the Broncos get. The Rockies... no one really cares about the rockies.

#8 is respectable but I would submit that no city lives and dies by their team harder than New Orleans. A Saints loss can ruin your entire week here. Just sayin. Our market is pretty small but this city lives and breathes Saints football.
Seattle's needs to be ranked higher. We're the most diehard fans anywhere. Our team lost everything for 35 years and we still thought they were the best. Seahawks fans will sit in 35 degree rain on any given Sunday to watch their team get blown out. We may also be the most likely fan base to fight you over our team. We have mutual combat laws in Washington, so we have a culture of handling things hand to hand. We also live in the gloomiest state in the lower 48. We don't see the sun from September to March and during that time our one source of light is the Seahawks. And I'll let you in on one final secret..... the fail-marry wasn't the replacement refs being incompetent, it was them being afraid for their lives. The fans were ready to storm the field and kill them if the call didn't go their way so the refs made a business decision and left alive. Smart men. Smart men indeed.
Every single Chiefs game I've ever been to has been basically sold out. Even in the preseason the stadium is still pretty full. The Blues and Cards fans are mainly in and around the St Louis area, like I've only seen a handful in KC. Also the Royals can't compete with the Chiefs. I'm pretty confident that KC is way more of a football city/
I’m a Chiefs fan and yes they are very much popular in the city, but they aren’t even close to being as beloved as the Royals are. The Royals were rooted in Kansas City as the Chiefs came from Dallas. It was a way more significant event when the Royals won the World Series. The Super Bowl for the Chiefs was amazing, but it didn’t equal the significance of the Royals World Series victory.
@@ckmont1996 The problem with the Royals is that they kind of get forgotten about until they actually make a run, but rarely make the post season. Besides that, the Chiefs may have come from another location first, but they still had a head start with two Super Bowl appearances while the Royals were barely starting to come in. Besides, there is one other factor in play - if they want to argue it being a "football city" then it's mostly surrounded by the Big Twelve NCAA conference. There is an argument for KU basketball of course, but that's still a stronger argument than trying to casually connect it to St Louis
There is no way you can do a list like this and have Detroit, and Arizona over Baltimore, and Kansas City. Those 2 cities live and die by those 2 teams because it's the only things sports wise that they have going for them.

Imo, Buffalo > Dallas, especially since Buffalo has NO COMPETITION (besides the Sabres) and while the Mavs, Rangers and Stars don’t compare, still. Also NYC and Boston should be much lower if the football teams aren’t the most popular.
Nashville and Pittsburgh are “small markets.” Ok sure but where are they supposed to go
Dallas Has 0 competition. Texans and Saints hardly put up a fight against the the market size of the cowboys

If we are talking about love of football in general at ALL levels, I don't know how there are that many teams ahead of Atlanta. Besides love for teams like the Falcons and Dawgs:
1. There are loyal fanbases even for smaller teams in the metro like Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Kennesaw State
2. As a transplant city, we have a ton of fans of other programs like Alabama, Auburn, Miami, Notre Dame, etc.
3. We are home to the College Football Hall of Fame
4. Atlanta is probably the most recruited major metro for college football programs
Cool story
I'd say that the Georgia Bulldogs are somewhat more popular than the Atlanta Falcons, granted the Falcons have a good fan base. The Bulldogs are two time defending national champions as of 2023.
Of major league sports, the Braves are Atlanta's most popular team, followed by the Falcons, the United, then the Hawks.
