I think he couldn’t handle the fact Alex was naturally great at magic without having to try. Him getting knocked down in the Wizard competition and Alex getting ahead of him really showed his true colors.
@@Ajay_Uploads for sure if Alex had just applied herself better she easily would’ve been ahead of him. It was basically mentioned in the Wizard of Waverly Place Movie. The reason Justin studies so hard about magic is because Alex is a natural when it comes to magic and he's jealous of it.
Tbf I can hardly blame him. I think all of us would be a bit jealous in his situation. He worked so hard to get where he was but Alex mainly got lucky most of the time. Truth is even she admitted it, she wouldn’t have gotten so far without his help, he was fair to the end though. If he wanted to he could have left her in the dust and never helped but he did
@@lunarialoonatic that’s not her fault she was naturally smart plus he had his moments where he was the one to mess up while Alex was the one who was the one to help. When it really mattered Alex was the one who came through and did the right thing.
Pretty accurate. Alex still kept her spicy personality but she did show a lot of growth and development throughout the show. Justin on the other hand became nasty, jealous, and hateful as time went on. I’ll never get over how him and Max abused Alex in the finale. All because she made a selfless decision to save Harper and Zeke. Like everyone constantly had a go at her for being selfish but as soon as she isn’t she still gets punished.
Justin really went off the deep end once he started to realise Alex was a serious threat to him winning the competition instead of just his lazy little sister huh
Since Justin is my favorite character it's kinda sad to see. I relate to him on a work hard status and I really could care less about looking at it from an adult perspective but I'll give it a go. It seems to me that during season 1, it all seemed liked it would come down to hardwork beating talent. Justin being hardwork and Alex being talent. An example being Alex mastering the ability to carpet fly in weeks meanwhile Justin admitted it took him years if I'm not mistaken. However, most television shows always seem to revert back to the opposite with it being "No matter how hard you work, no matter how many you times you do *insert here*, you'll never be better than I am". It's easy to see this from both ways and from what I see Alex was a natural who was constantly being ridiculed for not being as good as Justin. Meanwhile Justin took on far more responsibility and ultimately lost. I think it's way too easy to hate on Justin especially when someone like Alex is obviously the true star of the show. It was mostly her mistakes that were being fixed, even when characters did have their time to shine Alex still managed to be involved whether it's magic or her trolling. Honestly, I even blame the powerscaling of this show, not to mention the fact that Jerry didn't have his powers. Justin for example was able to turn the Headmaster (who was leagues ahead of him mind you) into a hamster and that was that. It was like there was no true Alpha Dog and everyone was fair game. Jerry should've been a top wizard and teacher who had the ability to keep his kids in check if need be to have prevented some of the moments. Yes, I get it Alex, Justin, and sometimes Max needed to learn from their mistakes somehow but sometimes they were way in over their heads. Like honestly, their parents truly had no power over them, and the movie proves this. I'm honestly surprised people just want to bash on Justin instead of sitting down and considering all the facts, it's like if they're given cannon fodder they just feed into it. Like I'm not going to defend the nonsensical attitude he was suddenly given which the show's writer obviously tried playing off as some sort of comedic value but I also can't ignore that this seemed like some pitiful attempt at making it seem like Justin was in his sister's shadow. I won't lie there were times in the show where I found myself just annoyed by the things Alex got away with, but then I remembered to myself. "This is just other people talking", I've seen my fair share of people hating characters and realized it was just getting to me. Alex was always a wildcard who could spark a scene up and make it funny. Not to mention at the end, I feel like sometimes we all go around trying to look at shows from an adult perspective that just are not meant to be looked at in that sense. My biggest supporting evidence would be Gravity Falls, for some people it's easy to hate Mabel Pines and I settled down and listened to all the facts and if I wanted to I could jump on that hate train but I honestly find it kind of pathetic to hate on kids designed to be that way towards other children's entertainment and not adults. Yes it's true there's bad guys and whatnot but honestly most of them are cheesy, losers who lose because good guys wins and bad guys lose nonsense. That's what I see with Justin, pathetic writing towards the end. Oh and dear God the Wizard competition. Why does it even exist? Y'know on my recent rewatch I was hoping it was some season 1 finale thing or even season 2 finale and that all the Russos kept their power. (My memory was fuzzy). I honestly still wish they did that. All that and for what? What did it actually accomplish? Justin haters? Alex haters? The.... Um.... Does Max even have that many supporters? Don't know a single fan who hates Max. I was happy Justin got more than just being some stupid family wizard. (The concept, not to mention the rules, not to mention the POWERSCALING like WTF the powerscaling genuinely bugs me.) I was happy he got a role that acutally suited his season 1-2 character. Someone who works, studies, and embodies selflessness and honor. Seeing Justin as the headmaster, Alex as a family wizard, Max as a wizard (Justin returns his powers) finally work together against powerful threats would've made for a great dynamic. But instead we got the crapshow and all it did was seemingly drive Justin mad, Alex to get more serious the more people compared her to the golden child, and Max? Well nobody ever took him serious. Anyways that's my take on it, sorry for the long paragraphs thought this was gonna be short.
@@greyfullbuster6653 Because the evilini thing was threat as much smaller scale and the ones who saved the day was Professor Crumbs, he showed her all the steps. That's called being self-center. He's good at literally everything, a straight-A student, the student body president of his school, the golden boy aka the favorite child to his parents... you name it, with such pride he had it makes him become a narcissist and looks down on everyone who he thinks is beneath him, especially Alex because she always gets on his nerve and annoys him on everything. That's why he couldn't take it when Alex won the award he thought he'd won, he can't accept being defeated and therefore, became really petty and upset about it. It's not that I hate Justin or anything but it just shows how low his self-esteem is, and he even went as far as using magic in order to "expose" his sister. The reason Justin's so upset with winning and achievement is because he knows how smart and talented Alex is, he always feels like no matter how good he does at everything and how much he has made Jerry and Theresa proud, it'll never be enough because Alex always overshadows his success. With so many negative thoughts, it's understandable that he became so bitter and petty towards his sister whenever Alex's good at something and gets praises by their parents for it.
I know you said Alex's logo was his worst episode, and I agree it's bad, but I would like to make a case for wizard of the year, HE TALKED BADLY ABOUT HIS SISTER IN THE VIDEO AND OBLY TRIED TO GET IT BACK WHEN IT WOULD BENEFIT HIM.
The funny part is that David Henrietta (the actor for Justin) wrote that episode…why would he set up his own character like that😅could’ve made the guy more likable
@@Smgluigi Harper do like them, well, more specifically, Harper is doing her best to like Alex' parents because Alex is a very important friend to her....
Also the episode where he didn’t believe Alex and thought she joined forces with Stevie to destroy the wizard competition and Harper was the only one who believed her.
She was jealous but never made it obvious. She said in the movie that Justin is everything she wanted to be. He on the other hand threw a hissy fit every time she succeeded
Remember in season 1 when Justin would actually try to help Alex succeed at things and workout issues, like teaching her how to fly a magic carpet or helping her get out of that horror movie or going against Professor Crumbs himself in order to stop him from taking away her magic? Don’t get me wrong, I understand sibling rivalry, I’ve even been jealous of my younger sister. But only over petty things like popularity, beauty, and boys. Never over when she accomplished something incredible. When she excelled in school and later made it into community college, I was so proud of her.
Nahh he is just a normal older sibling. When you get outshined by your little sibling you tend to be bitter. But overall I think he always felt like he had something to prove and watching Alex get everything he has always wanted he just does things any angry sibling would. Be a turd. But in the movie and later in the series he is the best and most protective older brother to her.
She could never be able to do anything without him, they were there for each other all the time. The jealousy and the mean things the say each other just prove our close they are. The aren’t ashamed of showing their real nature and flaws 🤣 I agree sometimes he’s jerk but she’s too 🤣🤣
The reason Alex was so nonchalant is because she always felt like she wasn't good enough so didn't bother trying. But her heart was more pure than Justin's. When she did good, it wasn't for approval or appreciation but what she thought was right.
I wonder why they decided to go down this route with Justin's character. He's like a totally different person than he was in the earlier seasons. They completely demolished his character in the later seasons. Like in the last episode they make him want to keep his magic over saving his friends lives. His character just took a complete turn. Maybe to make you root for Alex in the end I guess.
Yeah pretty much. I get that alex can change and her experience using alot of magic does help her in the competition but the fact that trying to be the big brother is costing him would make anyone lose it. When you dedicate your life to being clean and orderly and life doesn’t reward you for it, it is a lesson that life doesn’t care.
In episode 8 of Wizards of Waverly Place podcast episode they explained how they changed the lead writer in season 4, that‘s why things are so different. They also asked him how he would‘ve ended the show and it‘s so much better than how the show really ended. I really recommend the podcast, especially that episode.
Justin. Alex saved the entire world from evil while you helped evil! Why would you win for helping evil?! And how could you by just tutoring, inventing, and saving a school twice which is not the same as fighting evil?! And for the Citizenship Award, you hardly do anything to participate and just bragging that you’re going to win that award doesn’t mean you’ll win that award!
@@Ajay_Uploads I saw the episodes and if he was smart he would have realized Rosie was an Angel of Darkness! But no, he just had to be stubborn and gullible with his love interest! Look what happened with Isabella, his werewolf girlfriend!
@@BlueLeader101 people seem to forget she was influencing him. In terms of how powerful it was, we do not know. I am glad alex saved her brother but to blame him for that is cold.
Justin was always jealous of Alex and blaming her for stuff. His go-to line was, “way to go Alex”…just a hater. He also was hating on Max when he was in the lead for the competition during season 4. I blame his parents and teachers for giving him too much credit and treating him like he was perfect
And I hate how people said to Alex, "why can't u be more like your brother Justin?". hello. because Alex and Justin are two different people that are unique in their own way. Even their parents said that. EVEN when Justin was "non-existent" people still compared her to him.
@@Ajay_Uploads This was like when James interviewing Skinners that weren't Bandits and being tied to Gunther, the Hessian soldier, like James being jealous of Sarah, although he was actually a better person in the Benedict Arnold episode rather than The Hessians Are Coming. The fact about these 2 Liberty's Kids episodes is that they are both written by Jim Fisher and Jim Staahl, and the duo also wrote 2 iCarly-based episodes of Liberty's Kids as well.
once justin realized alex was just naturally good at things without having to put as much effort into things as he did he was nasty with jealousy and they always said alex or max would be too reliant on their powers but i really think justin was reliant on them in a different way- to feed his ego and his sense of worth.
I always had a theory that Alex may have exaggerated her “laziness and don’t-care” attitude for the sake of her brother because of how much it meant to him. Doesn’t mean that Alex wasn’t a little like that but it always felt that she would hide how much she really cared about magic and about others.
No, she doesn't care. The show got romanticized greatly as people forget the details of the show but she is very lazy and "don't care". Furthermore, if you count the times she almost exposed the Wizard world, it's like an infinite number of times. But everytime, Justin fixes the situation so it didn't become a big deal. Like he said, how many times she almost destroyed the world. A lot of times.
@@markarmage3776"infinite number of times" lol, it appears you don't know what "infinite" means. And the key word there is "Almost" and I will agree in season 1 Justin helped her a lot, but after that not so much, and from season 3-4 she was basically the one helping him
It's possible. I've done this cause I know how jealous my sister is and what the spotlight means to her. She hated me during my milestones. So I made myself small to make a look important.
I was really disgusted with Justin when Alex won wizard of the year and he got mad that he didn’t. She could have told him “Why can’t you just be happy for me? You always gotta be the best at everything. You always gotta be the smartest and win the most awards. I’ve lived in your shadow for so long and I’m tired of it”. Sure Alex is a rebel but she has done some selfless acts for her friends and family. Also there was that time in season 4 where she brought that angel girl Rosie back to his Wizard delinquent class to give them a shot at romance. She did say to her classmates “It’s just that not a lot of girls like my brother (Justin), so I felt like I had to give him a shot. I didn’t think I’d ruin it for all of you”. I was even more disgusted of how petty Justin was when he Alex and Max got thrown out of the wizard competition because she insisted on saving Harper and Zeke from the griffin. Alex didn’t wanna take the chance of losing Harper, but all Justin cared about was he competition and he didn’t give Zeke a thought. The chancellor said monster hunters have a rich history of losing to griffins, and I wouldn’t take any chances with that. Also i was with Alex, I’d rather risk losing my powers than risk losing my best friend. So Justin is the worst.
And Alex in the WOWP movie has even said to Justin that she's been compared to him all her life. So I guess that he didn't take that into consideration.
Justin & Max were complete jerks to Alex on the final episode. Alex learned a long time ago that nothing & I mean nothing even magic is more important than friends & family. Justin didn't even care that his best friend was in danger.
They did him so dirty in season 3 & 4, especially the season 4 he was such a jerk. In the first 2 seasons he was nerdy, awkward but actually very sweet and caring but then the writers turned him into a selfish & cocky asshole for no reason, that’s why I think the seasons 1 & 2 are better.
I think that this is the most natural development of his character. He was a narcissist from season one, and it just got worse when he got older. It’s the same with real life narcissists.
More like James Hiller being tied to a Hessian soldier or interviewing Skinners for 5 minutes and 30 seconds straight, or whatever. Somebody needs to upload a sus scenes video with this show just like there was for Liberty's Kids on The Sword's channel, if you haven't seen that video and channel yet. Not to mention, the show's "We'll Be Right Back" jingle that I told He's Still a Kid! about on that same channel.
from what I remember reading, the last two seasons were written by another team or heavily had interference from Disney executives. people even watching it at the time noticed that justin was getting flanderised and his and alex’s sibling dynamic was worsening. they were SO sweet in the first season??
Justin you gave up on the world for a darkness angles plus told a fake government oh wizards are real so who’s the jerk oh and sacrifice your friends for wizard power
I think Justin often forgets he messed up a lot as well. He “told” non magic people that he’s a wizard on his own free will. He only taught delinquents because he was trying to get back into the competition. So it wasn’t even a selfless act. Oh also you know the whole the world being over taken by dark angels is also a huge thing. Alex may have often been annoyed by Justin but she would have said some wonderful things about Justin if he had won. Justin just became a self centered jerk because he rode in this spot light of goodness and being on the top for such a long time.
People going off on toxic behavior but honestly this family was realistic and relatable. They were dysfunctional af but had deep love for each other and were loyal when it was needed. They were a hot mess but were real.
Ok how did Justin think after hearing that the wizard of the year award was given for saving the world from the angels of darkness that he was even nominated for it after he tried aiding them in destroying it? And when he was trying to down play the citizenship award he was down right disrespectful
Yeah. And I think someone said this before, but if Justin were to win the citizenship award and Alex were to downplay it, she'd get in trouble. However Justin didn't...
Let’s not forget that Harper and Zeke got kidnapped by the Griffin, and Alex knew the risk of losing their magic and still decided to save her friends. Justin got really mad when Alex dictate to save them than staying the on competition.
The jealous dynamic between Justin and Alex hits different after finding out that David Henry was originally the star of the show and then they dropped him and re-wrote an entirely new show to make Selena the lead, but he was still forced to do Wizards because his contract from the other show carried over. Makes me wonder how much he was really acting.
Woah if that true this make a lot of sense. His character in early season of story compare to later growing downward, and one of the worst episode is written by himself. I think he may express his dissatisfaction with how they betray him but he can't just left, so instead they make him some sort of evil so that she can shrine more. OFC if that was true that is. IMO, he's someone who has low self esteem and drive to be the best at everything because that how much he felt his self worth. He's nothing without magic or grade and his sister are just naturally talent at it without having to try. That just make his ego hurt and down for the worst. It like you work hard to get where you are, but then someone else come and they barely even try hard and can do something in just a piece amount of time he spent to be good at it. That's result in him choosing magic over his friend, because that was one of a few thing he only have that make him worth something.
It's funny he thinks he was nominated for Wizard of the Year when Alex saved the world from the threat that he caused all cause he had a crush on an angel of darkness and then gets mad when he says it should be him for teaching a class
He really changed for the worst as a character which is crazy coz if alex did the same shit he did he would make she got in trouble withe parents and make everything about him so over Justin
My 67 year old coworker was like “I never let my daughter watch that show cause Selena Gomez’s character was just a terrible influence” And I gave him a long speech how the show teaches you about selflessness, family, friendship, relationships, growth, skill, potential, appreciation, wrapped up with magic and humor. This show made me laugh so hard, it’s a top five for me!! amazing
No but i got the anger in the wizard award. He has always been smarter and took this competetion more seriously while Alex used it for fun and HE had to clean up after her. THEN THE LAZIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD wins an award just because he fell in love, huh?
Justin always big ego is self absorbed ,too confident the annoying kind of confident and always believing he is the best and will always win and he rubs it in his siblings faces and when Alex or even max do better be is jealous never proud and happy like he rather be on top and be a jerk about it because he wants to always be the smarter better winner one and I'm glad Alex and at time max beat him at something and humble him cause he needs to be humbled and be a good supportive brother and can't believe Harper ever liked him and also Zeke deserves a better friend like Justin rather win the wizard competition than save his friend like Alex without hesitation went to save Harper and Zeke and when they were disqualified Justin was a jerk to Alex about it and turns out that friends in danger was a test and they passed thx to Alex. Alex obviously deserved to be the family wizard she does actually care about people her friends and family she has saved the world she has done many selfless acts saved he friends her family many times she is a good person and an evil genius.
I think in the movie they showed how Justin's ego is bigger than he wants people to know. He wanted to be the one that saves the family while Alex only cared about saving them. She might get in trouble but they showed how deeply she cared. In the final arcs of the show Alex selflessness and empathy blossomed while Justin went to a negative arc. In the angels arc and towards the end it became clear that Justin is the one that actually has dark and selfish tendencies while trying to appear correct. Alex actually cares and ends up acting for others while having fun and relaxing. I guess they showed that evil and good can be found regarless of appearences. Justin showed the worst of himself and in the end of the show I personally believed that he finally realised that he didn't deserved to be the wizard of the family and admitted defeat to Alex. It's funny how Alex even in the special Alex vs Alex still admits that she's figuring thinks out and still growing after having personal growth in the whole series but Justin despite ending with a clear academic/work path still has to make the personal growth that Alex went through.
People hating on Justin don’t understand his pain. When a person puts all there passion into something only to have someone who doesn’t care at all about it win the award that you tried your hardest to get, it does hurt. If you practiced everyday for a race by running everyday and your rival just sits watching tv each day. Than on the day of the race your rival wins after all the hard work and time you spent to win for the award to finally show you accomplished something so your parents can be proud of you. Worse would be if your rival was your sibling than yours parents over look you and treat you sibling like treasure.
I understood what you said, but there's some faults in that. Alex was overlooked by her parents all her life. Favoring Justin and they even told her, "why can't you be more like Justin?". Also, Justin has had a lot of achievements his entire life. Is that not enough for him...? And his parents (and more likely Alex) always supported him for those things. And unlike Justin, Alex wouldn't downplay a great award that her sibling won. The worse she'd even say to him would be, "haha. You won a nerd award." So pretty much the two times Alex won a prestigious award, Justin literally trash talked her in front of a lot of people, and didn't get in trouble for it in the end. We all know Alex wouldn't do that, but if she did, she DEFINITELY would have gotten in trouble. But for some reason, Justin didn't 🤷♂️ so I do understand the pain of working hard and getting beat by a "slacker", but like I said, Justin won lots of awards and stuff his entire life, but the few times Alex won, he was so unsupportive.
They really did make Justin a jerk and didn’t have him get over it or rise above it, but had him act like a total child and get worse and worse! It was funny on the surface at first glance, but then it’s like really dude, get over it and stop trying to screw over your sister! Good lesson to not compare yourself to others
its been a while since i watched wizards but for what i remember everyone here is being kinda hard on Justin, for what they talk in the movie everyone already like Alex for him jerry and teresa love alex just because and she was popular, for him getting awards was his way to feel loved, again remembering the movie "they wouldnt love me if i wasnt so perfect", and Alex was always making fun of him or stealing his things remember frankie, so everytime Alex won awards specially without trying broke him because he would panic and think he would lose the little love he could get, if you remember everytime anyone spoke about Justin was only about how smart he was
The parents should have been actual parents and told their son to get over it and stop embarrassing himself and his sister at the award show. I would have flipped my lid if one of my kids purposely tried to ruin a public event celebrating my other child.
I’m disappointed about Justin’s arc. Alex can use magic naturally without trying so hard. Justin studies hard and that’s how he’s great with magic. I’ll say that if I lost a competition after studying so hard, I’d be upset. On the bright side, he got to keep his powers so he should have a positive attitude. I would definitely be proud of Alex
That's not life works at all. There's nothing in life that comes naturally without hard work. What Alex's fans always ignore is how many times she almost destroyed the world, destroy other people's lives and Justin fixes everything for her. That's like a person injuring multiple people a lot of times but never kill anyone because there's a great doctors that saves the people. Doesn't mean that person is a good person.
As someone who quite literally NEVER liked Justin, it just goes to show how NOBODY remembers any lines or quotes from Justin unless called upon, whilst I can remember several from Alex on command. Justin is genuinely an Unlikable human being.
Alex may be a brat at times, but her heart is pure gold. Justin couldn't stand how Alex is getting ahead of him, and it drive him completely crazy that he conveniently forgets all the good incredible things she does.

Tbh I kinda get it. You help the one that brags and get you in trouble and then the anger that builds up comes out. Yes she wasn’t “horrible” to him, but she wasn’t that innocent either
I think we can blame Justin’s behaviour on Jerry and Theresa as shown they constantly shower him with praise and ignore Alex and Max and they don’t seem to have taught him how to accept defeat graciously they were always more focused on him and his future and even in the Alex vs Alex special they only cared about Justin becoming headmaster instead of being proud of Alex for becoming family wizard and tried to force her to become Justin
Even though this is one of the most funniest scenes in the whole entire show 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 but David Henrie did a phenomenal and spectacular job as he displayed the elements of anger, rage, jealousy, and resentment. 😍😎💯👍 4:13
It would be great for Max to fight about his accomplishments and failures on screen, no laughing being in the bottom underneath alex and Justins shadows for all the years👍 👌 🙂 😀 😊 ☺️
I really wish that when they thought they lost the wizard competition because they had to help Zeke and Harper and everyone blamed Alex for it that there was a scene where Zeke called Justin out for caring more about getting wizard powers than two people's lives
Everyone pretending as they wouldn't be jealous of their baby sibling who doesn't work hard for anything implying that he/she just that much more gifted even tho you do everything he/she doesn't and have to work extremely hard to even be able to learn magic. Sibling rivalry is a thing btw shocker 😮 anyone who is an older sibling will feel some kind of way when the Youngest who doesn't try out does them. Despite all that he admits he's extremely proud of her so stop pretending you guys stand above siblings rivalry unless you don't have one then i completely understand.
I love Alex but Justin does have a point. You would cry to if it happened to you. Like she safes the world after causing all the problems you know? I love that personally but objectively speaking I understand Justin.
He really became the Brian Griffin of the cast in the latter half of the show dude was hating because Alex was naturally gifted in magic while he worked hard and still wasnt on her level
There’s a difference between a real-life person and a fictional character. Actors are only doing their job and usually do not have the same personality as their characters.
2:36 Justin was stupid for love easy when it comes to a pretty face but Alex not like that. Justin turned evil joined the dark side broke his wand and alex saved the world and her dumb brothers a** so yeah
0:50 seriously the ones who always studies like crazy and the one they want us to see that this character is the smart one are usually the dumbest also egotistic and just wants praise so much in return for everything and doesn't want others to do well to do better than him.
I like how Alex develops from Selfish to helpful while Justin is kinda the opposite

Justin was so petty in the second half of the show. Alex's logo was his worst episode.
Exactly! And the fact that he didn't even want to go to the citizenship award ceremony because of the fact that she won an award. Like... really...?
that episode pissed me off. he ruined the ceremony for alex and didn’t even apologise or get in trouble

There's nothing for Alex to be jealous of. She never tried to excel at school at all.

@@elvisochieng6267 Yes I saw the entire series.

Totally agree
Yes
I wonder why they decided to go down this route with Justin's character. He's like a totally different person than he was in the earlier seasons. They completely demolished his character in the later seasons. Like in the last episode they make him want to keep his magic over saving his friends lives. His character just took a complete turn. Maybe to make you root for Alex in the end I guess.
Gorog and rosie that’s why
Yeah pretty much. I get that alex can change and her experience using alot of magic does help her in the competition but the fact that trying to be the big brother is costing him would make anyone lose it. When you dedicate your life to being clean and orderly and life doesn’t reward you for it, it is a lesson that life doesn’t care.
In episode 8 of Wizards of Waverly Place podcast episode they explained how they changed the lead writer in season 4, that‘s why things are so different. They also asked him how he would‘ve ended the show and it‘s so much better than how the show really ended. I really recommend the podcast, especially that episode.

once justin realized alex was just naturally good at things without having to put as much effort into things as he did he was nasty with jealousy and they always said alex or max would be too reliant on their powers but i really think justin was reliant on them in a different way- to feed his ego and his sense of worth.
@@markarmage3776lol you are on an "I hate Alex" crusade

Alex is too lazy to do all of that 💀
It's possible.
Alex would never say something like that.
Justin & Max were complete jerks to Alex on the final episode. Alex learned a long time ago that nothing & I mean nothing even magic is more important than friends & family. Justin didn't even care that his best friend was in danger.
@@jordonwood-13 Thats what I've been saying
They did him so dirty in season 3 & 4, especially the season 4 he was such a jerk. In the first 2 seasons he was nerdy, awkward but actually very sweet and caring but then the writers turned him into a selfish & cocky asshole for no reason, that’s why I think the seasons 1 & 2 are better.
I think that this is the most natural development of his character. He was a narcissist from season one, and it just got worse when he got older. It’s the same with real life narcissists.
Seeing David Henrie's performance as Justin makes me see why he was cast as Ted's son on How I Met Your Mother!
This is hilarious!! I love the sibling dynamic
David Henry acting is hilarious 😂
from what I remember reading, the last two seasons were written by another team or heavily had interference from Disney executives. people even watching it at the time noticed that justin was getting flanderised and his and alex’s sibling dynamic was worsening. they were SO sweet in the first season??
he became so insufferable towards the end oh my lord
they really ruined his character since s3 😭 He wasn't so insufferable in s1 & s2

They change producers and showrunner, which is why they also change Mason's character as well. I think it was in season 3
Justin just became a self centered jerk because he rode in this spot light of goodness and being on the top for such a long time.
i’m confused as to why he thinks he deserved to win anything. doing good things for recognition doesn’t make you a good person.
People going off on toxic behavior but honestly this family was realistic and relatable. They were dysfunctional af but had deep love for each other and were loyal when it was needed. They were a hot mess but were real.

Justin prefer to be a wizard than save his friends
Idk why but I love the way he says the truth spell so passionately 🤭
Especially when he says “The truth is on fire!” Lol
Selena was so adorable

Ahh the irony of Justin not being nominated for Wizard of The Year especially when he had kinda helped the angels of darkness during said year lol

All Justin did was organize a clean up
I think in the movie they showed how Justin's ego is bigger than he wants people to know. It's funny how Alex even in the special Alex vs Alex still admits that she's figuring thinks out and still growing after having personal growth in the whole series but Justin despite ending with a clear academic/work path still has to make the personal growth that Alex went through.
justin cant be professional at all if alex won an award like sir get over yourself

You won a nerd award."
So pretty much the two times Alex won a prestigious award, Justin literally trash talked her in front of a lot of people, and didn't get in trouble for it in the end.

Good News Everyone! Alex & Justin Are Back In 2024
I’m disappointed about Justin’s arc.

Lloyd: proud that as of today this award no longer has meaning, how could you do this I mean do you even do you even check the people you give these to, I mean sure morro does one thing save Ninjago big deal but do not remember that morro Almost destroyed ninjago! uh do Ya!
Lloyd: how could you Overlook someone, who leads a team of super powered ninjas who defeat overlord who has won this award three times! Not once not twice but three times!!
Lloyd: and that why it should be me and him! Not morro the ghost ninja!!! But me Lloyd The Green Ninja!!!!!
Lloyd: I feel so much better.
hes like so fine though..
it’s giving season 1 lilith and eda
omg yesssss!!!
Justin always annoyed me 😂
I miss them so fckng much
4:59, wasn’t Alex heavily involved in the first of those?
And now he’s jealous of Max who’s a billionaire with no magic
He really became the Brian Griffin of the cast in the latter half of the show dude was hating because Alex was naturally gifted in magic while he worked hard and still wasnt on her level
2:15 bad things he saying is only describing himself
This Show up a day ago on March 27
The reason they took a turn on Justin’s character is to make Alex look better so she can be the family wizard, so fans would root for Alex
So character assassination in order to uplift another? Where have I seen this before? Oh yeah, The Last Jedi. Disney being Disney.
was he supposed to be this unlikable cuz i deadass hate the actor too cuz of this character lmfaoooo
it's fine to hate justin, but you shouldn't dislike an actor because of a fictional character they play.
There’s a difference between a real-life person and a fictional character. Actors are only doing their job and usually do not have the same personality as their characters.
Why is he being jealous
I never liked Justin 😵💫
I wish that they didn't make Justin really jealous of Alex cuz I was totally out of character for him
2:36 Justin was stupid for love easy when it comes to a pretty face but Alex not like that.
Like Justin if she doesn't even care that you using a truth spell on her like giving no F*cks at all the obviously that should tell you everything
2:33 2:43 3:16 3:28 3:55 the irony 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
