I always thought the 1960's ford fairlane's were so ugly, but the 1950's ones were really nice looking. This one looks very nice and I love the color of the paint and inside, very nice.
Just found your channel recommended by japhands. Well done , attention to detail. Have subscribed and will be checking out you other videos. Currently working on a 1948 Merc coupe. Have installed bbc 454, 9” ford rear end 3:73 posi, fatman mustang 2 frond suspension. Currently working on replacing rusted rockers.
Thanks Lee --- for the ---- COOL AIR ---- install ----- sure could have used some of that here today ----- BUT ---- I guess I'm glad I am not in Palm Springs at 117 for the past eleven days with nights at 80 ------ You got me on the Tranny swap ---- will be interesting to see the five speed put in and converting the rear end to open drive ----- See Ya then ---------- Rodney
Really enjoyed the video. Can you provide any part numbers of the individual pieces that you used from the suppliers? I own a 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner that I am interested in adding air conditioning. The car has a FE390 from a 1965 Galaxie. Also running the factory power steering pump. Thank you in advance.
Hey! Unfortunately I no longer have the boxes with part numbers. I called Vintage Air and told them what I was working on, and they figured out everything I needed.
That ride just gets sweeter. Very tidy installation. Is there such a thing as it won’t work. Maybe if I was doing it! When my run of bad luck ends I’ll be in touch. How’s little lux and mom doing? Tim.
Clean install. I’m willing to bet that crimper can do power steering and hydraulic lines. The crimp callipers are worth having. I used to use them when I did hydraulic lines at work. Helps avoid messy leaks.
Now I’m wondering about getting a new compressor and lines for the 64 Galaxie. Mine has the factory under dash unit. The fan still works but the insides are a question mark. Great video you guys. Lucky car owner.
Good afternoon guys. I have a question. I have an almost identical 59 Galaxie. I was wondering if you guys had to install a harmonics balancer on that 352 FE block when you put in that A/C?
Hello, Can you share which exact condenser you got? I have a 1959 Ford and I’m getting ready to have a/c put in it. Maybe the link or the name of the condenser and where you got it? Thank you!
I got it from vintage air. I don’t remember the part number unfortunately (I did this job quite a while ago) but I gave vintage air the radiator dimensions and they picked one based on that.
Hey Lee, I’ve seen these under dash units all my adult life, but not all of them were mounted level. Do they not work as well not level? Just curious. 👍🏻🤔 Marty G
Gotta stay cool while looking cool

1960 Fairlane is one of the coolest cars. It’s like a spaceship
18:28 Nice shop tool.
I worked for Cat dealer and used a large hydraulic unit to do the same thing.
My lord, what a beautiful car!!

Cool! Thanks for coming by! The Mercury sounds great, we have a 47 Ford Tudor that’s an ongoing build on this channel.
Very cool video , hope they make one for a 74 f-250 highboy I plan on doing one
This kit would work in a 74 ford.
Love your crimping tool, gotta get one for the Humber rat rod AC install.
Another great episode..looking fwd to the 5spd install behind the 41 flatty.
Coming soon!
Nice job on the A/C. Nice ride.

It would be great if you could keep that original under dash unit!
Awesome how you made the power steering bracket......
Thanks 👍
If you’re using r134a, PAG oil would be best for your o rings
