I oassed the exams .listening to your video am not sure if I can confidently start as a scrum master .I wish there was something like training on the job.or working with another scrum master and actually see him play his roles during the scrum events.

    I’ve watched so many videos and didn’t understand a single word thing! But your video was very much on my level of understanding.its more realistic because a lot of people make it seem like you can just get a job out of the blue.

    Thank you so much. I'm glade I came across your channel. Honestly I didn't know I was doing scrum as a program coordinator at my healthcare job. Listening to you gave me confidence and I immediately placed my daily activities into scrum and it fits perfectly. I was really worried about the resume and lying and all the drama with moving into a new career path for me. And thank you for pointing out in depth the certifications, and in your other video the self development things to do and hours to put in. Honestly I owe you a bottle of wine. I just told my class mates yesterday that the most important part is what happens after you make it and get the job is my goal and my driving force. I will come back with my testimony. No matter how long it will take. Thank you

    “Utilise scrum in your current role” It’s frustrating when I hear that. Most jobs don’t use scrum. I’m from a totally different background, I have the certification but it’s just a waste of time as employers won’t give you a job without experience.
    How can a nurse utilise scrum from the ward?
    How can a shopkeeper utilise scrum from checkout counter?
    If there’s any chance to use scrum with my current employer why would I be applying to external employers?
    I like your other videos btw but there is no way to land a job as a scrum master if you’re coming from a different sector.

    As a recruiter, no one should be paying for a mentor or coach. Ever. That should be someone who's willing to help you for free. You should also never ever lie on your resume. I can sniff it out in two seconds. Scammers don't get jobs and keep them. Ever.

    • @mr.j3371
      @mr.j3371 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sooo you're telling me you don't hire any one with a college degree? Because college is technically a mentorship program and it COST money. I guess by that logic you also don't trust doctors either, because as a former medical student, no one mentors a future physician FOR FREE.
      Also, you're style goes against the principles of Agile:
      "INDIVIDUAL AND INTERACTIONS over process and tool"
      You should rather value the knowledge the candidate possess regardless of how they obtained that knowledge.
      If you were my recruiter, I'd have a one on one chat with your poor recruitment style.

    • @poeticeclipse
      @poeticeclipse 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mr.j3371 I absolutely would say my clients value a degree. I’m saying random people who are “coaches” online and ask you to pay for those programs are something I’d be weary of because many are scams.
      My coworker recently busted a candidate after a first interview with the largest entertainment company in the world. The candidate said she had a PMP and was a CSM. The lie got the candidate banned from working with my firm AND added to the no hire list for my client.
      Just as it’s not valid to lie on a resume, it isn’t valid to have phony certifications and phony mentorships with people looking to take your money.
      I posted what I did to encourage people to do it the right way and warn about grifters.
