      Sometimes there are such large groups of motorcycles and bicycles that you would have to stand for several minutes to let them pass.

    Obviously the FJR climbing was too wide on preparing his turn, but never the BM downhill should have crossed in front of him left side of the road. That's what made the FJR falling

    It is obvious, just watch the video: the GS crossed the FJR. The GS was going down so it had the best possibility to see what was going on. But still it crossed to the path of the FJR.

    In my opinion. A BMW motorcycle descending wanted to give way to a Yamaha. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist riding the Yamaha was driving very uncertainly and did not notice this situation.

      No, the Yamaha rider was a complete idiot. Only complete idiots lean on the side facing the valley. This is a mistake that many riders with poor riding skills make on hairpin bends. If he had leaned to the left, nothing would have happened. Apart from that, I would have just driven around the outside, but fear is always a bad advisor.
      I came to a halt in one of those bends on the far right, where it's steepest, and didn't fall over. I braced myself with my left leg and got back on without any problems. That's the difference between being able to ride and not being able to ride.

    Tens (!) of slowly tip-over accidents seen on the net. Can you mount little side wheels on it, like childeren have on their first bike?😂
    Or start learning making very tight slow turns on an empty parking lot, with the heaviest boy in town sitting back of you. And offer him a big beer after the exercise.

    keep that GS rider away from me. I done this stelvio in August (busy) with 50kg of camping gear on the bike. If that wasn't hard enough all the traffic makes it tedious , it is not what i call fun, it was frustration, there are much better safer passes with less idiots to enjoy. oh totally the GS at fault , and then he rides off into the sunset!

  • @trailingarm63
    @trailingarm63 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Interesting one. I guess inexperience of those hairpins on both riders' part caused the accident. The FJR rider felt he needed a very wide line but seemed oblivious to the threat of oncoming traffic. The GS rider attempted to turn in to avoid a head-on collision (there was also a cyclist on the outside of the FJR which made GS man think going inside was the only option) but the manoeuvre only freaked-out the FJR rider! If you had to apportion blame, it has to lie with the FJR. Fortunately, it doesn't look as though much damage was done. We live and learn!

      The FJR driver is driving on the left. He barely misses the bike when he pushes it away with his foot. The BMW driver probably wants to avoid a collision, so he runs away to the left. The FJR driver should have stopped before the corner if it was too tight for him and he had to move into the opposite lane.
