... I was so trying not to keep typing, but I'm exploding about this friendship thing ... society has made friendship a four letter word. I firmly believe that the way to a man's heart is through friendship. I firmly believe that men will only be vulnerable, authentic and real in a friendship, where he feels accepted for who he is absent the need to impress. The minute a woman taint that relationship by surrendering her body (against God's way), the man will immediately feel the stress and pressure to be something he is not and will shut down; either physically, emotionally, or mentally. Sometimes it's demonstrated by ghosting and sometimes not, he just stays for the ride, but generally, it will not evolve and if it does, it will be that much harder to tap into his soul and know the real him. Sorry for the ranting ... I believe the Holy Ghost took over. I'm thirsty for this, I'm blessed by this ... I'm being fed by this.
We look to each other to mirror back what’s hidden inside of us. When an unhealed man is feeling like they have to win and prove their worth, the unhealed woman who he is rejecting interprets it as “she’s not good enough” which then dictates her own feelings of worth. When we look to God to mirror our worth, then we can never lose. This is for both men and women. Both will be healed through HIM.

You are really helping me to view life how life should be viewed and that is if it’s not of God then it is not for you. If God is not in it, leave it ! THIS!!! Was a blessing to me. When I got married I struggled to see my husband as a person with feelings needs and insecurities. I didn't believe that he loved me but was obligated to me. A lot of my thinking came from past relationships and hurt and I projected that to him. However, I thank God that over the years God was able to soften my heart and he used my husband who is a godly man to do so. It's been 12 years and counting and we are stronger then ever. I see him, feel, him and love him strongly and I believe he feels the same way about me. I can't wait to share this video with other women and men I know.

Everything he said about not taking tests, believing he had to be perfect. Every single important decision I have made in my life was a fear response. A counselor said I was selfish for not wanting to marry. A pastor’s wife told me Only Jesus was going to be good enough for me because I kept backing out of relationships. While the whole time I didn’t even believe I could be a good wife nor mother. 😮💨 The amount of healing that will take place just because of this dialogue.🙏

Yes, I think as a man you have to be bold and unapologetic about your beliefs because to speak so candid you must truly be in right relationship with God and willing to be open with sharing your story, which includes your shortcomings, fears, and insecurities. And in our day in age it's still being preached to young boys growing up they need to bottle their feelings and emotions, which they often continue in adulthood.
This has to be continuous I love this series and thank you Pastor Flowers for your obedience and consistency...I know this is for kings but this hit home especially talking about vulnerability and remembering God's love for us (me) and his mercies being new every morning... so many scriptures show us God's love and his grace towards us most of all Jesus's life...he gave himself for us...I kept hearing 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].

Generational...thank you...God spoke over me very young but the generational curse fell upon me with rejection from my earthly family for exposing. My youngest said only me, "Mom you need God more than most people." He & nature were my only safe place. No matter the pain, I am forever grateful He gave me the heart of a Lion to break it & change the trajectory of my children & their children. This is something in my experience I have found the "black" (& forgive me if not spoken correctly") acknowledges that my "white, perfect" culture does not. I am grateful. Continue to speak over the hidden to free the broken hearted.

Its so refreshing that men of God are so vulnerable and willing to leave everything on the table to just be open and honest. We need more men to lead and have a vision. As a woman its so important to become friends with a man than be anything more. As his friend, he will slowly become vulnerable around you making him opening up to you easier. God speaks on friendship in the bible; that a friend can become closer to you than a brother. So be intentional about your relationship with God and as women we need to cover men who may not have it all together in prayer and learn to become friends in the process or if your already in a relationship, its never too late to unlearn, to relearn, to learn and apply what your being taught; to do things kingdom.

This gives me a different perspective on men in their mindset on marriage. Also, just wanted to say that the bad theology is also a misrepresentation of Jesus in people's lives. Our parents are the ones we imitate as children and they are to be - in God's eyes - a representation of Him! - so that's why it's such a big deal when it comes to how our parents raise us, how they are together, the dynamic they bring to the table.
Oh boy, this is hitting every nail on the head. One thing I have noticed all my life is that there's no discipleship, no spiritual mothers or fathers taking someone under their wing or taking it seriously, and even worse its lacking with men stepping up to teach men in an honest manner, rather than expecting someone to look all perfect on the outside to pay them any mind. It enforces generations of people just putting on a show for an audience rather showing their heart, scars and all. But I know God can give knowledge, understanding, and revelation about marriage to someone if they seek him, before ever meeting the one. And so many times I felt that it should be obvious to men how to lead a woman... like, seek God with all your heart daily and be prayerful, apologize with sincerity when you mess up, listen to the woman's point of view without getting defensive or seeing her as competition, speak life over her and your lives, read God's word daily and obey God, love deeply and passionately, be gentle and compassionate, and make God your fist love together. I never thought christian men didn't know this deep down, but rather they sacrifice these good things to hang on to their ego and their uncrucified flesh. They think they're taking the easy way out of everything, but don't realize they're taking the destructive and hardest path.

Generational...thank you...God spoke over me very young but the generational curse fell upon me with rejection from my earthly family for exposing. My youngest said only me, "Mom you need God more than most people." He & nature were my only safe place. No matter the pain, I am forever grateful He gave me the heart of a Lion to break it & change the trajectory of my children & their children. This is something in my experience I have found the "black" (& forgive me if not spoken correctly") acknowledges that my "white, perfect" culture does not. I am grateful. Continue to speak over the hidden to free the broken hearted.

Can we appreciate the vulnerability from each of these Kingdom men?! This is real and this is what we need in the church today.
Its so refreshing that men of God are so vulnerable and willing to leave everything on the table to just be open and honest. We need more men to lead and have a vision. As a woman its so important to become friends with a man than be anything more. As his friend, he will slowly become vulnerable around you making him opening up to you easier. God speaks on friendship in the bible; that a friend can become closer to you than a brother. So be intentional about your relationship with God and as women we need to cover men who may not have it all together in prayer and learn to become friends in the process or if your already in a relationship, its never too late to unlearn, to relearn, to learn and apply what your being taught; to do things kingdom.
This talk had me crying... You can preach, you can pray, but can you say I'm Sorry? 🥺Just so much truth in it... Why is there not more of this, men must come together often. This gives me a different perspective on men in their mindset on marriage. Also, just wanted to say that the bad theology is also a misrepresentation of Jesus in people's lives. Our parents are the ones we imitate as children and they are to be - in God's eyes - a representation of Him! - so that's why it's such a big deal when it comes to how our parents raise us, how they are together, the dynamic they bring to the table.
Oh boy, this is hitting every nail on the head. One thing I have noticed all my life is that there's no discipleship, no spiritual mothers or fathers taking someone under their wing or taking it seriously, and even worse its lacking with men stepping up to teach men in an honest manner, rather than expecting someone to look all perfect on the outside to pay them any mind. It enforces generations of people just putting on a show for an audience rather showing their heart, scars and all. But I know God can give knowledge, understanding, and revelation about marriage to someone if they seek him, before ever meeting the one. And so many times I felt that it should be obvious to men how to lead a woman... like, seek God with all your heart daily and be prayerful, apologize with sincerity when you mess up, listen to the woman's point of view without getting defensive or seeing her as competition, speak life over her and your lives, read God's word daily and obey God, love deeply and passionately, be gentle and compassionate, and make God your fist love together. I never thought christian men didn't know this deep down, but rather they sacrifice these good things to hang on to their ego and their uncrucified flesh. They think they're taking the easy way out of everything, but don't realize they're taking the destructive and hardest path.
