The 2017 Dodge Durango comes in 4 different trims ranging in price from $29,995 to $44,695. The model tested here is the GT AWD trim in Granite Metallic which carries a price of $40,095. The Durango competes against a slew of formidable 3-Row SUVs including the: Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and the Chevy Traverse. Under the hood is a 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine that makes 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway.

This is a best in class large SUV. Should be on your shopping list if you are buying this class of vehicle.

ironically, this is one of the best products Chrysler makes (well now fiat-Chrysler) it's honestly a much better deal than the jeep offerings with an interior thats just as nice.

Sartaj Aujla They didn't cheat. They were allowed to have the emmisions devices but have to report them on the epa application. FCA neglected to report them, they never claimed that the engines were more efficient then they actually were. It's those Fuckers over at VW Group that repeatedly and intentionally lied and tried to cover it up. For my piece of mind, I'd like to see the company stripped down and sold off for pennies on the dollar but they're a juggernaut so they'll just pay fines and continue on as normal.

I"LL SAY THIS.......RENTED ONE (A LIMITED) TO GO OUT OF TOWN.......VERY GOOD ON GAS (PROBABLY WAS A V6) ONLY HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT IT FROM OTHER PEOPLE WHO RENTED ONE TOO..........

Ross Wallace got totaled last year she driving a 2020 GMC Terrain slt black edition with 2.0 i4 engine it’s quick and awd she likes it. But it’s definitely smaller then the Durango I miss it

Corvette57 I'd buy it in a heartbeat. the Grand cherokee is nice but a little cramped. a Durango with a diesel would be perfect
This is a beautiful suv. Great review also. At 2:35 you state that the 3rd generation Dakota switched to uni body. To my knowledge, the Dakota was always a body on frame design. The 3rd generation just got fugly!

Hello everyone my Dodge Durango 2017 GT was 2 days stopped and now it does not turn on, the panel does not light and not even the controls are working! What must have happened !?
Is the second row bench seating or 2 separate chairs?
2 separate chairs, there is a built in cup holder in between
it says it fits 7 but i only see 6 headrests
Ziggs player the option reviewed here has the second row captain chairs, the second row bench will seat seven.
Now I see why the 2nd row doesn't slide.

darnell rogers Nope! Durango, hand down. 3.6L is a Wards 10 best engine 2 or 3 years running. The durango is basically a Mercedes GL. Designed by Mercedes from the Daimler-Benz partnership. You can't get a better ride for the money. Get it with the Hemi and you have your cherry on top.

Why review a car if all you do is read the datasheet. How about offering information that isn't already easily available? And why do you keep knocking the sales numbers? It isn't nearly as bad as you make it out to be.
