ISB Graduation | Pratham CEO Rukmini Banerji: 'Top institutions should remain committed to society'

Rukmini Banerji, CEO of Pratham Education Foundation, was the chief guest at the ISB graduation ceremony held on the Mohali campus. She spoke about how even the most elite institutions should continue to link closely with their communities and society.
Ms Banerji, an economist trained at St Stephen’s College in Delhi and the Delhi School of Economics, was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and completed her PhD at the University of Chicago in 1991. She has worked extensively in Pratham’s education programs in rural and urban areas. Rukmini led Pratham’s research and assessment efforts, including the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) exercise, from 2005 to 2014. Since 2015, she has been the CEO of Pratham.
