Hi, Can you explain what kind of beads you used? They look like copper beads (tube). I am trying to buy beads but I didn't know there are so many types of beads. Tube shaped ones, copper ones, silicone lined one. Please recommend!

@@hairbycaren Hi Caren. Which type of extension is best if I insist that I need to condition my scalp after washing my hair (aka use hair conditioner on my scalp due to dry scalp)? Also, if you say beads are better, which beads are best for if I use conditioner? What about the silicone lined ones? Also, aren’t the beads heavier on hair and thus damage the hair or follicle more than keratin? Should I get both the keratin bond AND the bead together? Thanks in advance 😀💜

Beads are safer for your hair. No glue on natural hair

Your fusion bonds are awful close to the scalp. I know your trying to get as close as you can so the bonds will last the longest, but there's no room for the hair to move. If you did a full head of those, and your client decided to wear her hair up, like in a high ponytail, it would put an incredible amount of stress on the natural hair, causing breakage or potentially traction alopecia. Fusion bonds are rigid, if the hair is pulled tight into position and fused into that ridgid bond as soon as any kind of stress is applied to it, like when brushing the hair, that hair is going to get ripped out or it's going to snap. Bonus for you, because she's going to keep needing hair extensions to hide all the breakage from the hair extensions, do you see how vicious of a cycle is starting?

Josh Dobs Hi there, I should clarify this is a mannequin head not a real client. But for my actual clients The extensions are placed close to but not touching the scalp so there is no damage to the nautural hair. That being said I have seen when bonds or beads are pulled too tight and placed too close to the scalp which will cause the client a lot of pain and hair trauma. I’ve been doing these for 15 years and have not had one Client come back with hair loss, breakage, or alopecia as a result from the extension bonds.
