And, wheezing on the floor with laughter I was like "ALEXA YES PLEASE" and then it's just someone slowly but repeatedly throwing something in a trash can. It's the same dang thing for ten hours straight and I absolutely adore it.
Am I the only one who thinks the first two sets of lyrics are Papyrus getting corrupted into being evil like everyone else in Underfell? Specifically the last lines of those lyrics? 1: "I'm not appeased by being lonely - If I've not a friend, I'll take opponents instead!" 2: "I'm sick of all this hate around me - But if I can't beat it, I must join it instead!"

sorry, a bit long and a bit unrelated, but i feel the need to say this. i realy hope one day underfell's full concept is finally flushed out and understood by the comunity as a whole. because as it is now most see it as just the edgy AU made just to be edgy and nothing more. and maybe that was the original reason but it's evolved so much since then. its the idea that this AU is one where events occurred different. where decisions on things like how you aproach a problem, or speak to a person, or react to someone else has been switched. where Asgore took the death of his son is greater agression and hatred toward humans then he normally would choose to have, where its not just declaring war, but where he decides if he's gonna go this route, he's gonna do it RIGHT, no cutting corners, colder and rougher rulership, "for the greater good" and as leade this has massive effects on the citizens under him. toriel is more frightened of asgore in return, alphys is put under much more harsh pressure and strain then she normally was in the original timeline alphys in turn treats undyne colder as a scientific superior in chrge of alternative methods of escape or war, and between the abuse of alphys, and the war mongering nature asgore develops in the time of pre-meditated war efforts, becomes crueler, believing that theres no place for any kind of sentimentality as the head of the royal guard, and that if she cant be a hero of justice, then she must be the villain of all humans. and papyrus takes up from this, which leads to his abuse of Sans, and his more deadly attitude to the human. and sans, he who can see thhe shifting of timelines around him, he who is aware, and he who can see the shortcuts in reality, and the futility of their perception of free-will because of the nature of the world, his judgment of the human at the end isnt him fighting off a genocidal maniac, its him forcing the human to prove what their doing is right. because he expects the wrse from people, especially those with the ability to reset time, change events, and explore their curiosities, so he needs to make sure you arnt just doing this for fun, thta if your determination can get you pass a murderous sans, then theirs a better chance that you mean the good things you set out to accomplish. this is what makes underfell good. yes in astetic its just edgy undertale au. im not saying its not, but that part is for more comedic ironic reasons, because its good to have self aware jokes like this, that its edgy because we know its edgy and thats the comedy of it. but on the insie, theirs room for a truly remarkable and original AU, not just "everyone is evil" but that its a show of the butterfly effect, that simple changes in our actions can have drastic effects, even in the case of asgore who regardless still does a monsterous thing, his self loathing and hatred turns his good people into villains, worthy of the human subjective term "monster" unintentionally. normal asgore still keeps a kindness in him, and perpetuates hope and freedom and goodness, regardless of what he decides to do. underfell asgore perpetuates war, and vengeance. that is the true meaning of this AU. the butterfly effects of our emotions upon others. hatred only perpetuates more hatred
You know Shy, to continue the Underfell thing you've got going on, I think you could tackle Attica Kish's Spear of Agony lyrics. I think it would be better for your vocal range, plus it's pretty good :P. Its just a suggestion, but it would be really cool to hear! I loved this cover by the way. Keep it up!

I really adore this. Your voice, the music, and these WONDERFUL lyrics. They work so well. I really like these sorts of Underfell Papyrus interpretations. It's so much better than the pure villainy forms. I liked Dry Bonetrousle, but this just seems to fit so much better into the UF universe. To me, anyway :)

I like to think it's a front he puts up to keep himself and Sans safe. If other monsters knew what he was really like, they might see him as weak and an easy source of LV. And if Papyrus is killed, nobody can protect Sans.

I know this is like 3 years old but when papyrus is breaking up the lyrics, almost glitchy in a way, it has a sense of urgency and care. (As is with storyshift the properties of the characters kind of get swept around and mixed.) All of the say really good job on the song Shy!
