Brambleberry is one of the few sites I trust. If i have questions I always go to Ann Marie first, In a matter of speaking. I mean, not like I have her cell number, but I love the fact that she has always shared everything she knows!
I just got into cold process soap making and I intentionally made my first recipe a pine tar soap. Pine tar accelerates trace like crazy, so it is recommended to mix it by hand - not stick blend. Since immersion blenders can get pricey, I intentionally found a soap recipe that I could mix by hand. That way I could try making soap once or twice before investing in expensive equipment.
Not really a big tip but perhaps a recycling one . I save the nearly empty fragrance oil bottles and rinse with rubbing alcohol . I then use it create little air fresheners with small spritzer .
Such a GREAT video. With some ingriendents getting expensive your tips were helpful snd mske sense. I learned to make soap over 5 years ago by watching a video with you & Courtney. I have also taught a couple of friends to make soap by buying them your soap kit that you & Courtney used. Bramble Berry is my go-to for supplies and questions. Thanks so much for the great fully tested supplies, support, and videos.😊❤
I share learn a lot from your episodes!! I’m going to start this fall. I try to save all the episodes for beginners. Love you shows!! Buying your products to start with you Lots of love from Tennessee!!❤❤
Go for it! Both are really fun, but in different ways. We might be a little biased since soap is our first love, but with fall around the corner, it's a great time to try candles!
Your fragrance oils are super stable. I actually have some bottles from almost a decade ago. I was just mixing my own perfume oils, because I wanted very specific scents, with your fragrance oils, essential oils and the fractionated coconut oil. They have not gone off at all, meaning they are very stable fragrance oils. I had to get perfumer's alcohol from another source, however, but I've used your oils with it, and they work well as spray perfume, too. I've been thinking of doing basic melt and pour soap, just for home use or gifting. I need to wait to have funds to make that order, because I want to try out the different soaps in the 1 lb sizes, and I also have to get a few of those cute molds as well. I also saw a bunch of new natural fragrance oils that I want to try. Too many things to try. I had to miss the last sale because we had a bunch of emergency household expenses around that time. But I'm super happy that Bramble Berry has been going strong, as it has been my first foray into trying out things like this.
This was such a great video, and very informative ❤ one of the things I found helps is the mould. For 500g batch I could make one small loaf of soap or 5-10 puck size soaps. Or making 1 oil soaps, my favourite is making a coconut soap. Can't wait to see what videos you make next ❤ watching from Scotland 🏴
Good advice Ann Marie, what about making ingredients in bulk, that is creating a big batch of lye water and oils, to be used say next week. Please elaborate. Thanks

Ordering products from your company would certainly be nice, but unfortunately there is no shipping to my country.
What is soda ash and gel phase?
We have articles on soda ash and gel phase on our website, www.brambleberry.com. We would highly recommend giving those a read!
Is there any other way to lighten soap without using TD
We have not found a comparable way to lighten the batch without titanium dioxide.
Maybe if you use only coconut oil bc it’s white, but then the formula wouldn’t be that good
I would love to buy from you and start making soap, but you don't deliver to Israel so...🤔
Yes I soap on a budget
