Just checked and Head Tracking also works on the Mini 4 Pro! Thats seriously awesome! Being able to see straight down with no obstructions is great for surveying and stuff.
@@XdekHckr Yeah, not professional work. Not "real" suverying. More like you want to go take a look at an area out of reach and having the head-tracking will help you more natrually move the camera around in a confined space.
This has been a bit of a sore point my Mavic 3 and Air3, I just hope that at some point they give full use with the RC on these drones instead of the half baked version the give us at the moment, the did it on my Mavic Pro years ago and it was great to fly with
I also bought the goggles 3 with the intention of using them with my air 3. I was disappointed when I saw I lost most of the controls of the drone as the rc2 controller screen is not functional when connected to the goggles 3. I even called DJI before I bought them and was told that they were fully compatible.
well, i agree that’s optimum convenience. but think of the implications of remote controllers and goggles that can potentially auto connect to a drone. it could be a mess for drones within a few miles of each other. imagine you’re flying and then all of a sudden your screen or goggles go black. and then you try to reconnect and then it’s a totally different drone and location. they do that i’m sure to prevent that level of craziness from happening
"push the power button" to put in pairing mode, might be more accurate to note, 'push and hold the power button for x seconds' to put in a binding mode. Beginners do not already know what you mean and may not be able to distinguish between pressing a power button and "pressing the power button". Press and hold for x seconds might help some more when "binding" since they can not see the power button with your finger over the top of it. It is always good to avoid words like "connect" which might be reserved with the word "wire connect" when updating firmware with the computer software Assistant 2. As a beginner, specificity and consistency of words, do matter.
Alwa wondered how this worked with the previous gen stuff Cool options shame everything is being left behind I guess a mavic 4 and RC pro 2 are incoming?
What would be really cool is third party controller support via the motion controller instead of spending another 200 for a game pad style. Similar to what simulators do.
Does it still have the same latency as the RC2. As in it’s not like real fpv where the latency is like 50ms. It’s more like a full second of lag correct?
No, because the gimbal doesn't support left/right (yaw) motion beyond a couple of degrees. Pick up the drone when powered and try it. Watch how little compensation there is.
I have a question about DJI Goggles 3. Other than compatibility, can you dismantle the antenna parts? I don't own any goggles, but I am planning to buy it. But I travel often, and I'm not sure if I can pack it in my backpack or luggage.
Can u send me some help how I can conect RC 2 Goggles 3 together to the air 3 because when I turn on my Goggles the controller get dark and show the messages and icons and my rc2 controller doesn't work
so you can actually pair air 3 with dji rc controller and googles 3? But there is no image displayed on controller when googles are used, right? I though that it will only work with dji motion controller as one guy said on yt (Xavier Arthur)
have you been able to record your drone video (from the drone not goggles) while using the goggles and motion controller? I'd like to not have to switch between the remote and motion controller if possible. Thanks
good explanation so far 😊👍🏼 to me it's simply garbage right now ! my Air 3 is MUCH less agil then the Avata, the props completly unprotected ... NO features of the RC2 can be used => no panorama shots, no switching between 1x or 3x zoom, no switching between steady or fpv footage ... after testing, i even wondered the gimble wheel worked well 😅😂 it would be best, if the goggles could simply stream the RC2 🤷🏼♂️ ... hoping this to come with a later firmware 🤞🏼😌🤞🏼 ... if not, the avata 2 is the way better device to be connected with the goggles ☝🏼
It seems that I can't fly the Mini 4 Pro using my Ipad while my wife is using the Goggles 3? THAT is the set up that I'm searching for. Anybody have any info on that? I want her to enjoy the scenery while I fly safely.
I tried to set my goggles 3 up with my Mini 4 Pro but don’t see the Mini 4 Pro as an option in the goggles 3 screen. Do I have to press and hold the power buttons on both devices to cause that to happen? If anyone can help me out with this answer, I’d be very grateful. I have the Avata 2 and the goggles work with it of course. I have both drones and for starters am focusing on the Mini 4 Pro first…I haven’t even flown the Avata yet!
The previous versions of the goggles and motion controller can connect to the Mini 3. However if the new versions were made compatible with the Mini 3, that would certainly make it easier to pull the trigger on an Avata 2 purchase.
Once again! Why do we need so many controllers? DJI IS NOT being environmentally friendly. You TH-camrs must reach out to DJI to also have the controller 3 compatible with others drones like the Mini 4 and Air 3 Or the RC 2 compatible with the Avata 2. This seems so logical why hasn't DJI done this? It's all O4 so it should just be a software upgrade.

Yes.
good video but for some reason when I have everything paired my drone lifts up but it spins right for some reason??
Do you know if the standard mini 3 will ever get the FPV mode? Thanks for the info.

@DanielCrist yes.
It must be possible to construct things so that everything connects automatically instead of this pressing on the drone, glasses and remote control.
