I would rather watch a race at Goodwood than any other Motorsport. The majority of the best races I've seen have been at Goodwood. Thank you for sharing all these great races
"but laptiiiiiiiime!!!!" Faster is better right? I totally agree with you btw. Perhaps also classic 911s for a bit of variety. F1: where the driver makes the least difference ever.
That's what makes Goodwood a fantastic outlet for fans of the sport. It attracts the best cars and drivers from around the world and shows us what they both do best.
Thats some skill...Nice to enjoy from the safety of the sofa when its wet and cold outside and the Cobra is tucked away for the winter! Sad that he hit the barrier later on, but thats the risk of braking late...
As an ex Tiger owner, I can relate somewhat to this (I didn't go quite this fast). More power than the tires can handle. That's what happens when you put 300 horsepower in a short wheelbase weighing 2000 lbs. Great in a straight line. But in the corners, you needed to set up early. Fun to watch.
What a sound, what a feeling. A beast that takes a man's full attention and driving skill to handle. I will definately click the link above to the full race.
Fantastic, like being ontrack yourself. A little request Phillip. For next year another mirror mounted alongside main rearview to capture all those who are close behind.
driving these cars with so much horsepower and hot rubber is like driving on grease or ice. It is amazing how much "driving" you have to do. A lot of steering and positioning with horsepower. Love this class. The brute force method of auto racing. Little finesse and loads of raw power.
Calaros I may be wrong, but I believe he is meaning this race is exciting, it is in Europe, therefore Euro vintage racing. You may have misunderstood the meaning, but I think he also loved the Cobras. (Unless I've totally misunderstood it🙄) Great racing anyway🏁👍
This video should be seen by everyone who thinks "racing" is easy , and anyone could do it . Wrestling that wheel, while trying to get that monster to hook up looked positively manic !!!!
From what I can see, the driver, Phil Kadoorie first appeared at the Revival driving a Cobra in 2019. One thing's for sure, He is absolutely fearless. He got tapped by a Corvette Stingray, nudging him off the track, and also had several offroad moments, yet kept fighting back!!!
That's when you had to be a driver. No paddle shifters, no traction control, no ABS, just driver ability and more torque than the space shuttle. Both hands and both feet in a constant dance on the edge of a razor.
AC Cobra,.... That bit where it kicks out at the rear under acceleration,.. that's the American bit. Where he's able to use the chassis to catch and control it,.. That's the English bit.
I have heard that Cobra's were a hand full on the track ( as this video clearly illustrates ) but if they were set up properly and you could handle them, you were almost untouchable.
The driver seems to be over correcting through the curves. I wonder if he can feel the road through those welding gloves and the way he holds the wheel?? Don't know how much caster that car has but there too seems a little lacking. It's a blend of throttle and tires and road surface to drive at Goodwood. If your car has the throttle linked in with too fast of a climb opening at lower rpm's then one cannot expect to feel your way coming out of the curve apex. I wonder about the rear suspension also; need to take a closer look.
I love Car Porn. That Cobra handle like my lawn tractor, but if only my tractor would go and as fast and sound like that..... The closest thing to actually driving one of these thanks for the awesome video.
Great video. But what an ill-handling car! I’ve raced a 1966 Shelby GT350 with a 425+hp motor and Porsche RSR replica and both were so much smoother. And the cars were fast!
Great car control - as opposed to modern day drivers who depend on aerodynamics and become more of a passenger. F-1 is really boring to watch for me it’s like slot cars but full scale.

Couldn't agree more.
@@kevinkelley3906 what a track! Hoping to get there one day for nascar road course race
Dont you just love how many steering corrections are needed just to go in a straight line!
Goodwood is the pinnacle of motorsport. I would rather see the current F1 drivers race minis at Goodwood than the current F1 schedule.
Facts
"but laptiiiiiiiime!!!!"
Faster is better right?
I totally agree with you btw. Perhaps also classic 911s for a bit of variety.
F1: where the driver makes the least difference ever.
This is what I classify as a true race car. Just on the ragged edge every lap
real cars, real drivers, real heroes. These are the real racing drivers🏁
That save out of Madgwick... That save out of Fordwater... That save out of St Mary's...
That's what makes Goodwood a fantastic outlet for fans of the sport. It attracts the best cars and drivers from around the world and shows us what they both do best.

Eight and a half of the most enjoyable minutes of my day.
Just superb by all measures.
Fantastic, like being ontrack yourself. A little request Phillip. For next year another mirror mounted alongside main rearview to capture all those who are close behind.
The driver can't be distracted for a moment!🏁
Should be in contention for an Oscar too. Best Soundtrack.
Fantastic driving of a handful of a car. Wonderful sir!
Carroll Shelby thought that the Sunbeam Tiger was 'squirrelly'. I guess this video puts that into context.

Racing....at its best. Thank you such a superb upload.
Very wild cobra with the perfect driver for it
Power over traction.
Wonderful stuff.
Wow I am excited sweating a little and somewhat exhausted and I was only in the passenger seat. Thank you for the great Ride along
These races are so exciting to watch with the twitchy movementsof the car being on the edge is amazing, must be proper thrilling to drive.
Quite the handful
I'm thinking - racing a cobra on the limit is more like rodeo riding than driving . Thanks for taking us along with you .
Last of the late brakers, these videos are great, shows you how violent these machines were!
Fantastic to watch the driver dance that car on the edge of traction, great skill 👍
If 'loose is fast...' then this car is quick as lightning. Euro vintage racing is SO much better than American vintage racing!
Not sure what you mean honestly, the Cobras are incredibly exciting to watch.
Calaros I may be wrong, but I believe he is meaning this race is exciting, it is in Europe, therefore Euro vintage racing. You may have misunderstood the meaning, but I think he also loved the Cobras. (Unless I've totally misunderstood it🙄)
Great racing anyway🏁👍
Well, that was a busy day at the office!
That guy has some crazy skills, he is busy!
This video should be seen by everyone who thinks "racing" is easy , and anyone could do it . Wrestling that wheel, while trying to get that monster to hook up looked positively manic !!!!
That's some car control right there!
I am scared , lying In my bed watching this video !
how is this camera view achieved? the horizon/track is stabilized giving a very different sense of the car's movement. i love it!
Thats got to be the years best onboard footage hasnt it superb just try to forget the price tag !!
That save...
Every save...
*_Everywhere..._*
7:15 = the very definition of having more power than the tyres can handle. And big cojones! 😂
This was insane
A modern day cowboy.. Taming a wild powerful beast.

Gt Sport Vibes 🔥
Great skill in a great car
AC Cobra,.... That bit where it kicks out at the rear under acceleration,.. that's the American bit.
Where he's able to use the chassis to catch and control it,.. That's the English bit.
What is the little screen behind the wheel? The one above the tachometer (i believe)
Its probably a digital LED tachometer. Please note the original do not work
Listen to that beautiful engine
Traction challenged!
Back when the right foot was your only traction control!
Anybody know the CSX 2XXX number is?
I haven't seen any replicas at Goddwood, so I guess tis IS an priginal Skehlrby Cobra, built n the early 60's
That was sick :)
As I enjoy my E Type, for the past 35+ years gotta give credit to these owners/drivers as they use their cars.
it looks really hard to control
This Guys doing more sawing than a lumberjack !!!! 😂🥴🥴🥴
A literal hand full
Ouch, what’s the price tag on that E Type that wrecked near the start?
Toller Motorsport 👍
I have heard that Cobra's were a hand full on the track ( as this video clearly illustrates ) but if they were set up properly and you could handle them, you were almost untouchable.
Looks like you’re fighting the steering wheel alot

4:20 braver dive bomb! 👏👏👏
Loose is fast!
I can’t imagine being tapped to drive one of these cars knowing full well the astronomical price of most of them.
Apparently our intrepid driver chose to run on experimental food-based tires made by the
Chiquita banana people...
That's like driving a Mustang, always on the edge of catastrophe.
A Ford trade mark.
I'd been told Cobras couldn't go around bends, this one can't even go in a straight line!
Sometimes less is more. Fun to watch though.
Now that's proper seat of the pants racing in a snarling monster that just wants to kill you at every opportunity 😀
I love Car Porn. That Cobra handle like my lawn tractor, but if only my tractor would go and as fast and sound like that..... The closest thing to actually driving one of these thanks for the awesome video.
Turn on the traction control!
🤣
amazing
Lil TVR doing well
Great video. But what an ill-handling car! I’ve raced a 1966 Shelby GT350 with a 425+hp motor and Porsche RSR replica and both were so much smoother. And the cars were fast!
Methinks it's the driver!
an uncontrollable wreck!!
👍👍👏👏👏
Times haven’t changed. Skinny bias ply tires too much hp. Where are the minis on lap 6.
video cars - cool :)))!!!✓✓✓ no abs, no puc puc puc correspondets blu majestic end blabla, no sifilitico mens .bravo reiders ..
Animal
Eh, my 91 Accord doesn’t have ABS, Stability Control, Airbags, etc because race car 🏎
anybody else notice the disconnected speedo
He has a racelogic just above, guess he doesn't need it.
What it like to ride a totally wild animal, that also bites like a snake !!
No need to go to the gym for a workout. It is all there at the wheel. Arm muscles must be huge!
Great car control - as opposed to modern day drivers who depend on aerodynamics and become more of a passenger. F-1 is really boring to watch for me it’s like slot cars but full scale.
I know that these cobras are real beasts ! but here the tires seem to be the last garbage !
looks like avon !
MANIC huh?? I don't see and Manic Motorsports cars out there. CLICKBAIT THUMBNAIL!!
One thing is clear, these cars need much more tire under them.
and it seems the Speedo is non operational... like who cares... and I wonder what is in the glove box?....hahah
This car has an obvious setup problem. It grips like a pig on skis.
it's called having too much power for those tires XD
theres a reason why almost no original shelby cobras exist to this day lmao, those 427s were no joke
