For anyone else who was also too emotionally invested, Victoria-chan made up a blatantly obvious excuse that she had to study for an exam so Pete went by himself. When he got there, he found out that Victoria-chan was the guitarist for the band. They met and kicked it off pretty well but then the rest is left to subjective interpretation.
