I picked up an 1857 French zulu shotgun project that needs a lot of work, from a pawn shop a few months back for about 100$, i think you got a better deal!
I have a model 90 LONG in super nice shape (safe queen) but it won't feed ammo from the magazine. I suspect its the lifter spring is weak. You were holding that from the 14 to 15 minute time frame. How strong should that be? Mine has tension but I'm not sure it's enough. How do you tell?
Need help! My grandpaw passed away and I was gave his Winchester model 1890 I looked up the serial number and it said it was made in 1907 it’s the 22 W.R.F the ammo I ordered for it just game in, everything works fine but when I use the pump action to load a round to the chamber it’ll only eject the round and not load it. If I slide a round directly into the barrel, fire it, then pump it, it’s the same result it’ll just eject the fired round and the new round at the same time. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Or how to fix this?
Why u dont dont take a carrier of a model 1906-62 that handle short and long and LR they fit in 1:1 and u can shoot both without issues.... My advice check the bottom of the barrel is on the gun in top dead centre cause if the mag tube go,s trough the mag rings it shut end up in the hole in the receiver super smooth........It shut end in 100% without issues in the receiver. And my advice heat the trigger extension and make a small cut it in it that u weld back together after u bend it so the slamfire safey works 100%..............I work with these guns alot and i know there ins and out pretty my,much and i reline the barrels and reset the timing and i seen alot of issues ........
@@BabyFaceP If u need any help on a 1890 in terms of technique please let me know i love to help u getting these old guns back to in great condition. If u have issues with making it safe to slamfire or how to make sure they lock teh action wen its not working or or or let me know.... I brought the biggest pile of crap (pre 1899) in the USA and relined the barrels rechamberd them to .22 short or what clients wanted fixed the timing so slamfire was safe, smooth out the action and and and and.... i am loving to share my experiance.

Where do you find those old guns. I love to tinker with things and being winters coming on need something to do inside.
Friends mostly. Small local auctions or estate sales can be pretty good too.
