Hey man I had the same thing happen. What I did was I just changed out the whole bottom wiring connection. It’s only like 4 screws. Take it off the old ignition switch and put it on the new switch. So you will have a new ignition switch with the old wiring
Hey there’s an issue with these bikes. Honda created a zener diode that send 9v to prime the fuel pump. You should order a new base ignition switch from partzilla. And solder a 3.9 1w zener diode in it

Oh I just saw your last part of the video. You can take the base off the old one and put it on the new one that would work perfectly

There's a resistor in the old ignition switch I'm having the same issue currently... Could you let me know how you fixed the resistor
