Today is october 24th 2021. Bodø Glimt is on top of the table this season, have qualified for the conference league and beat AC Roma 6-1 3 days ago. Twice this season they have had to reorganize the attacking lineup due to injuries, but they keep on scoring.

The boys, or let's say MEN, who play for Bodø Glimt today are many of them raised with wind and salty breeze at the Polar Circle and they are the essence of what being norwegian is if you're proud to be one. Moreover, the success of Glimt is what makes football a beautiful sport. Not Salah and Messi making millions a week and the Saudi monarch buing a club in the Premier league.
Give it some time and before you know it the English Premier League team's will come to this league asking to take their players away from this club. That's, unfortunately, how those clubs work; They see players having a fantastic season, especially after today's game, and they immediately start trying to go for them. Hopefully they avoid that and are able to keep competing in Europe competitions like this. Hopefully they win UEFA's Conference League this season and the Norwegian cup as well
Yes it is fantastic to see the young local players coming through and playing fluently and confidently at this high level, it is also fantastic to see new ideas of training both physical and mental and new tactical strategies being explored by the Bodo Glimt team. Exciting and intense attacking football, which is a refreshing change to todays defensive and 'safe' football. As Bodo Glimt have shown, this type of football destroys totally teams practising the former style. However, to keep new talent coming through, we have to have the rewards of the riches of the big clubs. That is what these young players dream of.....playing for Barcelona, Manchester City, Real Madrid etc..and we should not hold these players back from that. This is how the system works. By the way, Newcastle have not been bought by the Saudi Monarch.......that was the reason the deal was stopped by the premier league. The club has been bought by Amanda Staveley, her husband and the Reuben brothers and backed financially by a Public investment business consortium which a chaired by the Saudi Prince. The Saudi state and the Prince have no influence in the club at all. That had to be made clear before the Premiere league would allow the deal to go through. The new owners are employing Paulo Fonseca as manager who has similar tactical beliefs as the Bodo Glimt management and coaching staff so we too are looking forward to seeing first hand this type of attacking football in Newcastle. Maybe we can meet Bodo Glimt in the European cupt finals one day.....You never know....

I'm a native from Bodø, and I can tell you that your pronucniation of Bodø/Glimt isn't far off at all. To improve it tho, I'll say the letter Ø is pronunced like a "U" sound in a word like "Burn". Or an "E" in the word "Her". Other than what's usual like the letter Ø, your pronunciation is perfect. At least you're not the Oslo airport lady trying to speak english when saying "Bodø". She says it like "Bude" xD.
