    You forgot tire pressure you can get close to center cap but from the floor. If you got a low tire and ain't coming out true, make sure she's true

    Great Tutorial ! I've got a 69 Dart that needs to have the torsion bars cranked up! Because the previous owner was all about that lowered life, which is fine........ as long as you don't care about getting high centered on a speed bump..... or your driveway.... yeah basically i can't drive it anywhere..

    Hilarious! I laughed even harder when I saw your jack stand with a good 2" of air space to the frame rail at 3:49 "safety!" "Check!"

    Measuring to the floor: Structural fabricators
    Measuring from the center of the cap: Pipe fitters
    lol

    Hey Randy, Nice Video, Check :) My 80 Datsun 720 king cab height is like a 1" or 2" lower on the driver side than the pass side. Is all i do is what your video here shows? I want to bring up the driver side to match the passenger side height.
    Thanks

    Always make sure the tires are properly inflated as well. That will change the ride height too

    Safety ??? Why is there a gap on the jack stand?

    So, the FSM says to adjust while on the ground, but I suppose there's no reason NOT to do it this way so it's easier to turn the torsion-bar adjusters... I just re-did my entire front suspension, so that thing is on the floor and it's hard to get under it, so this looks like the ticket out.

    • @BlownBudgetGarage
      @BlownBudgetGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Best way to do it in my opinion. Never had an issue. Nope it works for you too!

      @@BlownBudgetGarage Okay, so ROUGHLY obviously, do you know approximately how many full turns I should do to give it a normal ride height from where the adjuster bolt engages the LCA? I know it depends on the bars, weight of the car, all that, but I just don't want to be raising and lowering it every 5 minutes. Just need a ballpark figure. So far, got each one turned 20 turns from where it engages the bar. About ready to lower it to see where it's at. I doubt it's enough.

      @@pdiz I wish I could give you a number but it’s all dependent on which engine you have be it slant or small block. It’s just trial and error.

      @@BlownBudgetGarage our plan for our dart once I'm unable to drive is to raffle it off and the proceeds will go to purchase mobility devices and give others a little bit of freedom. We actually did a documentary about my diagnosis if you want to watch it. It has won several awards, but mainly want to raise awareness. Fighting MSA Austin Crawford's Story.
