    I've ordered a pair, looking forward to listening to them. Main use for me would be listening to music or watching a movie when flying and having a much better audiophile experience and comfort over my AKG N20U in ear headphones which I have had for years now connected to a Fiio Btr3.

    Thank you for the review! I have a question related to the use in passive mode.
    Is it possible to use it with an analog DAC when it is completely out of battery?
    Can you charge and listen at the same time? I assume it is possible when you use out the usbC-usbC cable, right?
    In analog mode it would be also possible?

    I very much wanted to order a pair, but the blocker for me was the lack of LDAC. With so few devices supporting aptx Lossless, a decent high end (albeit lossy) fall back codec was vital. I would've listened to them wired where possible, but always good to have decent BT.

      There may seem to be a difference on paper between Aptx hd and LDAC but in practice there really isn't. I've been using LDAC for several years and only recently decided to try some Aptx earphones, I bought the Melomania m100 and use Aptx hd, they sounds really great. I don't expect a big difference in sound quality by using Aptx lossless, lossless or hi-res does not mean great sound, its just a technical fact. I'm in no hurry to get a phone with Aptx lossless, the transducers in the earphones make by far the biggest difference.

    I preordered the melomania touch’s, the sound is very distinctive, soft rounded mellow and clean. Kinda British in nature actually,was great for music like the wallows or podcasts and indoor listening not lovely outdoor walks or runs tho. I sent them back and got a full refund because the connection problems were terrible, I would like to test these over ears before I purchase them as I like the look and price point, I’ve owned Sony and Bose and think they both have problems and cost too much

    Samsung user cries in aptX standard 44.1kHz/16Bit codec :(.
    Though is there any information about the driver's frequency? For the codecs they should at least offer 10 Hz to 24 kHz. I have read, that 96 kHz/24 Bit is possible, so it should be 10 Hz to 40 kHz - didn't find any information on that.

    • @TotallydubbedHD
      @TotallydubbedHD  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Most Samsung phones will be able to do LDAC or aptX HD, but yeah with these you might be limited to vanilla aptX.
      As for FR, not sure, sorry!

    • @klerkusmaximus
      @klerkusmaximus 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@TotallydubbedHD LDAC, but not aptX HD. Neither on a Note10+ nor a S24U. It only allows aptX with 44.1kHz/16Bit.
      There is one guy though on the German Community who claims that he can use aptX HD with his B&W PX7 S2e, but when I tried them at a local shop it wasn't usable (didn't use the app, because you needed to register before you can use it that is maybe why).
      But either way standard aptX is capable of 48/16 or even 48/24 IIRC according to aptX itself. But this isn't usable for Samsung either.
      You are mostly locked to LDAC. Finding one besides Sony is difficult besides the one that are already known like 1More, Earfun, Technics EAH-A800. There is the new Edifier Spirit Stax S5 that has every known codec from aptX lossless, adaptive, AAC, SBC, LDAC, LDHC but their price seems reasonable for a magnetic planar driver but comes without ANC.

      @TotallydubbedHD  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@klerkusmaximus ah good to know! Odd though, as some of the Samsung phone have a QC chipset, so you'd imagine like other phones, they'd also support aptX HD?

    I hope these are better than their Melomania 1+. I was so hyped for those things after reading all of the praise, just to find that they didn't sound even as good as my 40€ IEMs I had back them.. I guess for the price you can get them now they are fine, but they neither were that feature rich nor standing out in any other way to me

    • @TotallydubbedHD
      @TotallydubbedHD  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I personally was not impressed by the original earbuds, but then the Melomania touch massively improved on the soundstage and thus became contenders for their price - alas, lots of competition made them still hard to outright recommend. These headphones though really surprised me, just wish they had LDAC!

      @@TotallydubbedHD Thank god that wasn't just my impression! I neither found the sound all that impressive, nor the buds themselves or the controls. Haven't tried the Touch though, but I will get my Galaxy Buds FE tomorrow, as a little upgrade to my Moondrop Space Travel, just because I already use an S23U and because I got pretty cheap from Samsung alongside a Galaxy Watch 6 Classic :)
      BTW, I'd be interested in seeing some of Creatives stuff on your channel. Their Muvo Play speaker really surprised me, a friend of mine got the Zen Hybrid, I am curious if the Zen Hybrid 2 is good or not
