It’s very important you get the price of your stock it takes a lot of hard work and money to get them to the market stage you guy should definitely be in the ring speaking to the aucthioneer
Store lambs are a Very good trade this year. I had a bloody good run with my Hampshire X lambs out the blackface ewes. Just looking to buy my own small farm but hard to find something suitable
Your lambs looked well and made good money in a falling market , the large texels were probably ready to kill so made prime lamb prices , the large black lambs were probably very difficult to finish annd so buyers were wary , i once had american suffolk ram to try and increase lamb finishing weights but they were 56kg and i sold them store because i just couldn't get then to fatten
@rrfarming Give a texel a try if you fancy , what prices did the suffx make compared to tex x at the sale report ?? At the moment it is easy for you to tell your lamb breeds apart another white face and not so easy
I did it with my cheviot x Suffolk x texel ewe lambs i took them back home again and tupped them and kept them on the farm 50 was all they made at the mart
Good video your lambs look well and made good prices too 👍
Thank you Paul! 😁
