Thanks for getting to this song - great reaction! As far as who it was who said "... this song sucks..."; that was "Fame". If you go back to the beginning of Verse 3, NF says, "Remember back in 'No Name' I said 'Fame called', told you I hung up, it kind of seemed off...". Here in LMA, this whole first part of V.3 is the follow-up conversation with the personification of Fame; in response to Fame's question of "How have you been, Nate?", NF responds by sending him THIS song -- Leave Me Alone! (Pure genius, IMHO)... #nfrealmusic

NF is LEGENDARY.
NF is like the writer of a TV show that is coming up with story lines for season 4, when the show actually just got renewed for season 2. He's brilliant in the way he ties story lines together from 2 albums ago.

Great reaction as always. This song makes the best ringtone too. Now when anybody calls me I hear "quiet,quiet,quiet,quiet,quiet,quiet,quiet,quiet,LEAVE ME ALONE!". Which is how I typically feel when my phone rings. Except for wifey, she gets her own ringtone.

In his song "No Name", he says fame called and he says he'll talk to him in album 4. Fast forward, the search is album 4 and he responds to Fame with this song.
But the video- there are different ways to interpret his videos, but this is mine:
people in white are happy, people in black are depressed. you can have the fake smile and carry around burdens either way. He was given the tools to be happy in the search, aka the white clothes. at the park, there are tents where he can get his smile wiped off, or change into the white, and he just walks past as he is saying leave me alone. the third verse is with other people in black that haven't helped themselves either. just in their cages (carts) with their burdens. NF leaves there and goes and tries to let go of some burdens- but does he? it doesn't show him letting go.
also, Nate is a Christian, so i do believe the hand taking the burdens is God. Giving it up to God.

Remember in Outcast he was in the cage…In The Search he was traveling away from the cage with the cart, that he drags around or sits in. I think that is his portable cage. At the end of The Search he gets in it, and covers his head like he’s still protecting himself. Just thought I would throw that in.

In "No Name" NF said that fame called and he hung up on him and that would get back to that when he makes "Album 4." Here we are, Album 4, "The Search." The old man in the shopping cart is NF when he gets older if he never learns to let go of his burdens. He is trapped in a cage he created (the shopping cart). However, the cage is mobile now, because he is searching and making mental progress. The cage used to be stationary, like the one from "Outro" on the "Perception" album. Also, the dark themes and light grading are metaphorical for his dark mind and an analogy for mental health (New Zealand landscape, abandoned theme park, dark alley, and so on).
This song was the song that got me to listen to NF....because I relate to it. I am OCD, ADHD.

'Fame' is who said his song sucks, which can be interpreted as the industry/labels... or whatever, he actually makes a call back to "NO NAME" one of his earliest songs, he also makes a line about how fame makes him sick back in 'The Search'

I didn’t even fux with Rap music like that either. But there I was. This was the first song to open the concert. Everyone was jumping up and down with the beat and screaming with #NF LEAVE ME ALONE! Well if he’s screaming at you to leave him alone, why you here? And why does everyone know every word to a rap song? Who does that? #NFFAMILY that’s who!

Cliff, Fame is what NF if referring to when he said "Back in NO NAME I said fame called, I hung up it kind of felt wrong"
He's personifying the perceived vs the actual relationship someone has with fame when they make it big typically the outcome is way different than what they originally perceived.
Also, in his NO NAME verse he said "Fame called I'm like how you doin? hung up on him I'm not ready for it, I'll get back to that when I make album 4" ( The Search ) At the time that NO NAME was made, he was wrestling with all his successes.

Six Flags New Orleans is the abandoned amusement park.
They had bought it around 2002-03 brought it back to life, and added some great attractions, attendance increased and then… Katrina hit… that was 2005.
Closed for Storm… great documentary on it. Sad though

“Fame” is who says “this song sucks” that entire last part was a conversation with fame.
The reference to his song "sucking" come out because of NF's despising fame. He references No Name where fame called and he hung up on him saying "I'll get back to him in album four". When fame calls back he sends him "this song" (leave me alone).
I think what he is saying in these visuals is that he chooses to deal with his issues unlike the majority of the population and he chooses to not medicate to numb his pain like the majority chooses to do. Which is why I think he shows way more people in white handing in their issues to numb themselves and put on the fake smiles and less people in black who are trying deal with their issues. Just my thoughts. Could be way off but it would make since based on what he has been through especially with him loosing his mom to pill addiction.

You noted in one of the Eminem reactions t that there should be a order with how to listen his work. I say that it is even more important with NF. This is one example of videos where you can find hints from previous ones when you know what to look and that goes with lyrics too. I don't usually keep following and watching reactors who jump out from the journey list because I find them usually annoying with how much they miss stuff and are relying people in comment section to explain them different aspects of the video. You are pretty much only one that has gone pass that limit. But I think that is because you write yourself you don't have as much problems with understanding his "art".
That in mind this is only video with what I will ever give this type of recommendation. But if you want to get all the visual story telling and all the hidden gems go check 3rd ernest's breakdown video. He is photographer and he picked up ton of things that you don't think that would matter but when someone points out them they are clear as sky after that. And I'm going to continue my binge watch with this NF reactions playlist. ;)
