When Lex closes her eyes and FEELS Brian's short fill in the outro you know she get's it in her soul. I also really enjoy that Brad doesn't always feel the music but he critically examines and thinks about the lyrics and their meaning which is every bit as cool. So many people never actually get the message or emotion musicians are trying to convey or expel. You are both a treasure in the pile of refuse that is most of the internet. Thank you.
To be fair, you could mention the most popular rap song in history, and I wouldn't know anything about it. Different cultures, different times, different people.
I don't know, everyone always says that, but it's not the type of song to really hear in passing, is it? Something like AC/DC's Thunderstruck you can easily hear at a sport event, at a random bar, in an ad, by someone playing it from his car's speakers etc. Bohemian Rhapsody you may hear bits and pieces of, but hearing a full song (if you didn't seek it out just because it's supposed to be one of those classics "you have to hear") is kind of rare, in my opinion. I don't know exactly, but I'd guess it was used a lot in movies, but probably only some segments of it. I get its historical/cultural value, but if you don't particularly care for that and go look it up, I don't think too many young kids will go "listen to this track, it's lit!" to their friends since it has this sort of theatrical/opera/drama sound to it. Personally I don't recall ever hearing it in full until I was like 22-23 and I sort of had to look it up. I do remember something about it (the name, the intro, bits and pieces of the opera part) from my childhood, but it wasn't obvious I knew the artist or the overall theme of the song.
One day Brad will react to the music and rock out with Lex. Until then we have to watch him treat every songs lyrics like a puzzle needing to be solved.
Um how hard is the lyrics to figure out..lessee young man kills someone, cries out to mom in prison as he is about to be executed. He goes through different emotions especially anger in the rock part, then resolves himself to his fate. THE END.
That's fine though, we get the best of both. We get to see someone's interpretation of the lyrics and get to watch someone's reaction to the music. I like the dynamic they have, and they are so cute together
"This is so theatrical" - Freddy's whole life was theatrical. He treated the world like his stage, and he wasn't just a character, he was the lead. Freddy also loved opera, and this song was where he really let that influence come into Queen's music. The song is full of symbolism and elusion, but never really hits the nail on the head. It's done like that on purpose so that it can mean something different to each listener. Is the song about Freddy killing his former self, fearing breaking his mother's heart, and becoming who he really is inside by coming out as gay? Facing the public ridicule and the "trial by press"? I certainly think so, but I can't know for certain; and that's the beauty of it.
And maybe a self fulfilling prophecy because Freddie died of Aids, which many saw as the time as 'God's Revenge' but maybe it was Beelzebub's (another name for the Devil)? But I don't like to think that way. Aids is just a horrible virus which people catch from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. 😞
When this song came out in around 1975 we all had a "WTF?" reaction on first hearing on the radio. It took hearing it a few times to really appreciate it.
Yeah, lex gets it. Brad doesn't. His demeanor is exactly the same in every reaction.. puzzled, while lex is smiling pretty and rocking out in every song. he acts like he don't even like music. Brad stop trying to figure it all out word for word and just kick back and enjoy the music like lex does

@@geoffrey2292 I find that hard to believe. Queen transcends genre and generations. It's like claiming to have never heard of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas, or Micheal Jackson's Thriller. Sure, it's possible, but only if you've led a very sheltered and close minded life in which you don't interact with popular culture at all.

Hearing 65,000 people having an impromptu sing-along to a song by a band that isn't even there... it's awe-inspiring. It's such a massive homage to Queen, and such a powerful experience, that Green Day put it on their official channel.

This was amazing I seen a comment that said a cloud in that video looked like Freddy and I went back and seen it. It's a stretch but look at the clouds in it
It is in fact about himself, killing the guy who was pretending to be straight and the gay guy coming out, it was about his conflict of emotions as he came to terms with being gay and letting people know ….
It's never been confirmed that is what the song is about but I agree it makes the most sense. Faust is essentially, boiled down to its most basic level, selling your soul to the devil. Hence the lyric Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me. This song will forever be reinterpreted many, many different ways. If you look at it from Lex's viewpoint and any generation not old enough to realize it came out before he showed any signs of HIV/AIDS it can definitely represent that. It's a true masterpiece and sadly no one will ever know 100% what it means. I think that's what makes it the masterpiece it is.

This man’s reaction is the most genuine reaction I’ve ever seen in a reaction video. Queen’s music, at first, is sensory overload. And this is what he’s experiencing. Shit’s too much the first time hearing. He can’t bob to it…not the first time. But he will, the thousandth time, I guarantee it.
Consider Him OVERLOADED..........She has theater background so she flows with the music. He on the other hand seems to try to compartmentalize the experience because for someone that is not expecting ALL of that in one song it may overwhelm you on the first go. Secondly, this song is EPIC. Do you know how tight a band has to be to play this song? Let alone play it at Master level......this IS WHY they are regarded so highly. Excellent singer and band.
Saw them in 1979 - second row. It was astounding!!! And they left the stage for the "Galileo" section of the song. They simply accepted the fact that they couldn't replicate the complexity on stage. Also - their first four albums were VERY heavy - and a huge influence on Metallica.

When Wayne's World came out and everyone rediscovered this song, kids who had never heard it and only knew it from that film assumed thjat it was about his AIDS diagnosis. So many people never actually get the message or emotion musicians are trying to convey or expel. You are both a treasure in the pile of refuse that is most of the internet. Thank you.
I so agree. Both Brad and Lex are so different, yet approach their reactions from a position of pure honesty.
You can always pick out the Wayne’s World fans when we all start head banging at the specific part in the song. 🤘🏻
ALWAYS!!🤘🏻
It's a involuntary head bop for me sometimes I don't even notice it

Plus who can forget about Alice Cooper? We’re not worthy...
@@72KingDavid hahaha! It’s been too long since I’ve watched it. We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!
Could possibly be the most well known rock song ever.
And now you see actually the only 2 people in the world that hear it for the first time :)
Easily one of the greatest songs in history ❤️ Freddie 🙏
How can a human living in this day and age have never heard one of the greatest masterpieces of our time?
I do remember something about it (the name, the intro, bits and pieces of the opera part) from my childhood, but it wasn't obvious I knew the artist or the overall theme of the song.
i think it just rare for other country to put this on radio. im 16 and i never heard this song until my brother put it on.
oh nvm i just re read your comment, my bad ignore my other comment
That is some nazi mentality mate. And not a question, just a cry for a pat from the hive mind. America is fucking crazy. It's just distractions.
THE END.
@@takeapic1313 It's about him coming out actually. The man he killed was his old self.
That's fine though, we get the best of both. We get to see someone's interpretation of the lyrics and get to watch someone's reaction to the music. I like the dynamic they have, and they are so cute together
this Brad , is he dumb ?
Dude is lame. He kills the spirit of the music.
Great interpretation.
Nailed it 👌👏👍😎
And maybe a self fulfilling prophecy because Freddie died of Aids, which many saw as the time as 'God's Revenge' but maybe it was Beelzebub's (another name for the Devil)? But I don't like to think that way. Aids is just a horrible virus which people catch from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. 😞
That's my interpretation also. This was Freddy's coming out song.
So spot on!
When this song came out in around 1975 we all had a "WTF?" reaction on first hearing on the radio. It took hearing it a few times to really appreciate it.
Absolutely. It defo took a few hearings 😄
After which you just loved it.
“What is this?”
“The best song ever written”
Stairway to heaven
I love Lex's reactions! She really feels the music.
Yeah, lex gets it. Brad doesn't. His demeanor is exactly the same in every reaction.. puzzled, while lex is smiling pretty and rocking out in every song. he acts like he don't even like music. Brad stop trying to figure it all out word for word and just kick back and enjoy the music like lex does
Yeah, this song was truly EVERYWHERE in the mid 70's.
and mid 80's and came back in the 90's thanks to "Wayne's World"...
Was gonna say not just the 70s, but the 80s and the 90s
This song is considered a modern masterpiece on par with the greatest composers like Mozart, Chopin, Haydn, Beethoven, Bach and so on.
Freddie Mercury had an insane vocal range, he was one of the greats in the music industry. Not to take away from the rest of the band, they were amazing to, but Freddie stole the show. Rip man, you will forever be missed
Brian May was his equal and they were fantastic together.
@@tonyhaag4651 a vocal range between 4-5. A piano has seven vocals. And most singers only have three

@@danieldaniel4371 Hello. I meant on the guitar and songwriting. Not vocally. I should have been more precise in my answer.
@@DamaramuHQ Absolutely! There would be no ultra-high notes, especially that 'for meeeee' just about 4 minutes into the song, without Roger's incredible vocal range.👍
Some of these songs are so popular that I'm always just surprised y'all have never heard them in like a movie or in public before. But always cool seeing someones first time to them!!
Thinking the same. Like I feel you have to have lived under a rock to not have heard this song.
I call bs on the most popular ones like this or hotel California or stairway. No way most people at least don’t know about them or the main themes
I think some have probably heard them in a film, show, the grocery store or something and probably just don't remember or weren't paying attention.
@@jasonstehlick452 Exactly what I thought!
@@gj4301 this is true. And hearing the song is alot different from hearing the song like this too.
They played this everywhere. EVERYWHERE. Still gets tons of play on classic-rock radio.
It still trips me out that radio sittings played this all the time. 😄
Lots of parts were in commercials. There was that Super Bowl Mountain Dew commercial.
This song was played all over the world daily and everywhere.
The lead guitar is Brian May who has a PHD in Astro Physics!!!
Genius and genius song amd the production is still unmatched
“What is this?” One of the most celebrated and loved rock songs of all time.
The whole song is a metaphor for Freddie mercury's life and the acceptance of who he really is. The man was a fucking genius
Absolutely was a genius
Seen many reactions of yours now and Lex has the best reaction of all "reacters" of any channel ever, love her energy.
Lex would have been a great hippy chick had she been around in the 60s and early 70s.
Lex always makes me smile when she gets into a song!
also, it's impressive to see how very often she truly 'gets' the undertones of particular songs
Queen has a HUGE catalog of songs. They were highly popular in the 70’s and 80’s.
This song is STILL everywhere. It's a staple on the radio to this day. Y'all are just sheltered.
A lot of younger people and some middle aged people have music tunnwl vision and just listen to what mtv or BET or CMT feeds them so some people dont venture out of thier one or two street music zones .i was once like that wayz backz ago
Or they Are Just fucking faking it. Everyone reacts to this, so they do it themselves to attract views. Its every reactor channels most viewed song normaly. So they know what they Are reacting to. I do believe reacting channels follow "the scene" to see what people react to and what gets the most views.
@@ImperialMJG I would have been gentler on this, but it was definitely my takeaway.
Not everybody has the same taste of music. I know many people who only listen to rap/hip hop and rnb. They have never heard this song.
Realise that this was recorded before the ”computer trickery” today. Its 100% a master piece
Shot the video in three hours, and were in the pub at 22.30!!! First video ever made!
And it only cost £400. Couldn’t do that now.
It's so endearing to see Lex's eyes dart to Brad to see his reaction when she knows what's coming.
Recommendation: Watch the footage for a Green Day concert in Hyde Park, in 2017, where Bohemian Rhapsody was played as holding music before the concert.

It's a stretch but look at the clouds in it
This was amazing I seen a comment that said a cloud in that video looked like Freddy and I went back and seen it. It's a stretch but look at the clouds in it
So, yes, this is Freddy's masterpiece, coming out song. He killed the pretender to out the real Freddy. Unbelievable genius of a talent.
That's exactly what I always thought! Maybe that's been talked about by others or Freddy himself, I don't know, but that was my take on it.
the whole album, it was a break out album for them
It is in fact about himself, killing the guy who was pretending to be straight and the gay guy coming out, it was about his conflict of emotions as he came to terms with being gay and letting people know ….
@@crazeered71 exactly… hearing this song is heartbreaking at points
It's never been confirmed that is what the song is about but I agree it makes the most sense. Faust is essentially, boiled down to its most basic level, selling your soul to the devil. Hence the lyric Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me. This song will forever be reinterpreted many, many different ways. If you look at it from Lex's viewpoint and any generation not old enough to realize it came out before he showed any signs of HIV/AIDS it can definitely represent that. It's a true masterpiece and sadly no one will ever know 100% what it means. I think that's what makes it the masterpiece it is.
Most Americans don't realise that there is a whole world outside the US, a world full of amazing artists, bands and genres of music. Brad and Lex
are just starting to scratch the surface of whats out there, I am excited for them and look forward to seeing where their journey takes them.
AWESOME guys, get ready to have your minds blown.
"Don't Stop Me Now" would be a fantastic follow-up to this! Great as always!
Its a "Rhapsody" - it tells a story. One of the greatest songs they did.
That’s just how he reacts to everything ngl
He just looks mad confused the whole time it had me laughing 😂
Saw them in 1979 - second row. It was astounding!!! And they left the stage for the "Galileo" section of the song. They simply accepted the fact that they couldn't replicate the complexity on stage. Also - their first four albums were VERY heavy - and a huge influence on Metallica.
I wanna hear Lex sing a song for us. She’s got a beautiful voice, I can tell.
I get chills every time I hear this song, truly a masterpiece 👑
How could you gave never heard this before? This has regularly been voted the greatest rock song ever and the official video has been played over a billion times.
Listening to Brad's reactions I have a feeling we would be using his record collection as mats on the dinner table or drink coasters lol
First time i have listened this masterpiece was 46 years ago....never get tired listening ......
This was a HUGE hit & was played everywhere. I was in middle school when it came out & I still remember every word.
This song was literally everywhere, you should definitely check out the Queen set at the Live Aid concert to see how good they were like live.
Thank you guys. My grandad introduced me to Queen when I was a teen. This made me feel like I was hearing it for the first time again.
I saw you guys doing this live the other night. I didn't tune in because I wasn't sure how far you had gotten and I'm the type of person who wanted to start this journey from the beginning. Looking forward to your reaction to a true artist. Queen is the Bar when it comes to real musical art.
This is one of the most unique songs out there!! I think it must shock everyone the first time they hear it!!

EPIC MASTERPIECE OF A SONG AND ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER HANDS DOWN!!!!!!
Need to watch the recording of fans singing this in England before a Green Day concert. Was fantastic to hear from a crowd.
Just saw Greenday in Philadelphia. Same thing the whole stadium was singing.
The Greenday crowd version was nice, but I think my favorite rendition was by the drunk guy in the backseat of a cop car lol
It was "Mama, just killed a man." Not "Mama just killed a man." The comma is important.
What I love about Lex (apart from the obvious), is the way she always supports Brad even when he looks confused or unmoved (ha ha). She's a diamond!

This was on the radio for what seemed like forever when I was a kid and I never got bored of it. As a full-blown Metalhead worshipping Slayer, Exodus, Deicide, Napalm Death, and so on..., This is still my #1 Rock song of all time!

This was number 1 for ever when I was a kid. It was like nothing anyone had ever heard before but everyone recognised it for the masterpiece it was.
I assume you were living outside the US since it never reached #1 here.
I still hear this song everywhere. Check out Jethro Tull “locomotive breath” and you’ll say I never think flute when I think rock music, but they make it work.

I love the way she looks at him and hangs on every word he says ....you can tell how much she loves him
I love how Lex get's into the song, no matter who the artist is, or the genre. Love it
Sorry, your theory about it being about him having AIDS can not be true. This song was released in 1975. Aids wasn't 'discovered' until 1983.
Agreed... They should really react to the song The Show Must Go On... Truly heartbreaking when you know how it all ended...
Agree. Completely untrue. Freddie wasn't diagnosed until 1987. Everything wasn't about AIDS people. Until sadly, it was.
When Wayne's World came out and everyone rediscovered this song, kids who had never heard it and only knew it from that film assumed thjat it was about his AIDS diagnosis. To them the song must have been from the late 80's or early 90's. Why would WW use such an old song? I corrected SO many people back in high school about this. It was frustrating.
@@kengaroo67 Why would WW use an old song? Because its one of the best songs ever written, that's why! 😁
@@KernowWarrior but at the time kids my age thought it was absurd for an "ancient" song to be used, so Bohemian Rhapsody must have been written much later.

I found this album at an estate sale back in the 90’s, original vinyl, sleeve, and jacket. The whole album is remarkable!
I saw Queen do this at the Dallas Civic Center in the early eighties. It was one of the most amazing concerts I ever saw and for 3 hours they held us spellbound. Freddie Mercury said in an interview that it took him 20 years to write this song and get it exactly as he heard it in his mind.

This is a Queen masterpiece. I have always loved this work. It's a combination of rock opera, Gilbert and Sullivan-esque, classic. Freddie Mercury was an amazing artist.
