Miley's semi broken sincerity voice is perfect for this song as it was for "Jolene". I'd like to hear her try some other very specific emotional music like "Time After Time" or "You're so Vain" or the like. She blew away "50 ways to leave your lover" on SNL I think. She's also a pretty good actress, loved her as a 60s radical in "Crisis in Six Scenes"
@M Mac Hello, Happy Holidays... please don't misunderstand me 😃, Im not particularly a fan of hers... but I like the effort in reviving Rock ( even soft variants of it ) to reintroduce to modern audiences. Maybe it was her decision, maybe a producers decision, dont know, but the musical landscape these days is very narrow and something that is not just urban/reggaeton or electronic music is welcome in my world 😊
That’s the thing about vocal coaches: a lot of the advice can be sound and conducive to the protection of talent longevity. However, style and interpretation can be artistic choices that should not be messed with when the skill set has been honed and proven over many years. We would never have unique, differentiated singers if they always did whatever any given vocal coach advised. There’s technique mentoring and then there’s arbitrary judgment of musical artistry.
Nevermind the technical informations of this video... The very best part of it is Sam's lipsyncing with the song... (ok, I love the technical part of it as well...) 💖💖💖

Off topic but this was one of the best pitches of a sponsor - you got me sold! Lol.
And as always, great, informative video 👍
Hey! Missed you! Glad you are back
Your comment that 'art is a reflection of the times' really hit home with me...how many of us are really going to be responsible for how our future generations see us and this pandemic...art and music and theatre and film are all more important now than ever, i encourage all those making films at home 😊

That she's just being Mileyyy
Sam! You should do a video on SIA! That would be love love love
RIP Dolores, one of a kind genius musician. 💔🖤
Way to go Miley, we need Rock back 🤟🤟🤟
@M Mac Hello, Happy Holidays... please don't misunderstand me 😃, Im not particularly a fan of hers... but I like the effort in reviving Rock ( even soft variants of it ) to reintroduce to modern audiences. Maybe it was her decision, maybe a producers decision, dont know, but the musical landscape these days is very narrow and something that is not just urban/reggaeton or electronic music is welcome in my world 😊
@M Mac proper rattled you...commented on every post..
She wasn’t done at the end NOOOO I was hoping you would see her scream!!
(ok, I love the technical part of it as well...) 💖💖💖
I just love him. And I love Miley. I love everything about this!!
I love your content, it makes my day
Damn this is the best she's ever sounded !!!! (imo) . Thanks for another great analysis, Sam!
Thanks for your candidness my friend
Can you react to her cover of "I'll take care of you" live at sunrise. It's one of her best !!
Her raspy voice is everything.
Thanks for this video , your such a ledgend 💗
Miley explains in several recent videos that she had to have an operation on her vocals in November 2019. Not sure what exactly what the issues were etc but maybe worth a gander at it
Thank you for the analysis!
On her Joe Rogan interview she said she's stopped smoking pot and cigs, taking hard drugs and has tempered her drinking.
Thank you so much
Love your channel
I learn alot from it
she said on Joe Rogan , that she over sang a little and its impacted her voice
