    Hey Steve thanks for all the videos on your rubicon. I’ve got mine reserved and shipping at the end of this month. I’ve been filling the time binge watching rubicon videos in the meantime and yours have been fun to watch!

      Congrats on the purchase!! What model and color did you get? Hope it comes soon!! I waited a couple of months for mine on an incoming one and then another dealer much closer had one come in earlier and I was able to grab that one.
      I shot a recent ride in the snow with my old GoPro 4 attached to my helmet. No imagine stabilization so the video was too jerky to post. Will be ordering an Insta360 camera soon. While you’re waiting, check out Quaddingsous’ adventures up in Canada. He has the identical machine as mine and was what swayed me back to a Honda instead of a Can Am. th-cam.com/users/quaddingsous
      Thanks for watching and best of luck with the new ride!! You’ll love it!!

      @@EverydayATV It’s the 2022 Rubicon 4x4 Automatic DCT EPS Deluxe in matte blue metallic. I called everywhere looking for the blue and finally found a dealer in my area getting one in. He said it’s scheduled for February 28th but sounds like they commonly get pushed back. I was really considering a can am outlander as well but I finally decided to stick with Honda for the reliability. I’ll go watch those videos on his channel while waiting on our next one. Thanks again for the great content!

      @@Tactical1944 One last thing. Don’t know if you are in a colder area of the country but if you are, I’m totally loving the Honda heated hand grips and throttle. I had the dealer throw them on before I took delivery. While a lot of dealers may not be budging much on price because of the supply issue, they may be able to give it to you at cost and not charge for the labor to install it. Always worth a try 👍.

    Personally I like the halagen lights better. More depth and farther pattern ahead of you

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. The light pattern from these lights from Hondaboats was all over the place and not focused. The newer ones I reviewed from Chusyyray were much better focused than these.
      Thanks for watching.

    If you can handle the fact that the light colors are different, best combo is to leave the factory bulbs in the bottom, and put an HID in the top housing.

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. Testing a new bulb this weekend that has both high/low and the diode aligns with the halogen filament. Hoping the light pattern will be more like the factory. Stay tuned for the review.

    I like the color and that's about it. They are not even close to the Halogen for illumination. I would put the halogens back in.

    Is this the same procedure for a 2008 because I cant seem to get the old low beams out

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry not sure about the 2008’s. I know my old 2004 headlight bulbs were totally different in that they didn’t twist out. They were held in with a clip.

    Need to find HID bulb. Puts the light farther inside of housing causing the reflection in housing be more tighter out front , throwing out more light. Down side of hid they have warm up period and a ballast box.

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Daniel, you are absolutely right regarding the HID. I used to run an aftermarket HID in my Harley Davidson headlight. The focal length of the HiD bulb matched the halogen filament perfectly and thus the beam pattern was perfect. The ballast was small and was concealed in the headlight bucket. I tried that bulb in the Honda handlebar light, but unfortunately the socket does not fit. I will keep looking.

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing. Are they the replacement bulbs or the entire LED headlight pod from the Honda Pioneer 1000? I hear those are plug and play…you just have to cut out a bit of plastic in the bucket behind the headlamp assembly to make room for the LED cooling fins on the pods.
      Thanks for watching.

    would you happen to know what the plug style is? Cant seem to find the right one with 3 pin

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the 0:30 mark in the video you can see the oval style plug. These replacement bulbs only have two pins for the reason that there is no high beam…..one pin for low beam power and the other for ground. The 3rd pin on the factory plug is power for the high beam. They fit into the 3-pin factory plug perfectly. The nice thing about them is they stay on when you flip the switch over to high beam. I have not been able to find an LED replacement bulb that has low and high (3 pins). Hope that helps.
      Thanks for watching.

      @@CptCrunchization very cool. Would love to see how they turn out.
      I’ve seen videos where people have retrofitted the factory LED headlight assembly from the Pioneer 1000. Seemed like a lot of work as the bucket behind the headlamp had to either be cut or heated and reformed. I wish they just had a set of those that would fit the Foreman.

  • @timven8402
    @timven8402 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's very difficult to get good pattern since with the original bulb the light comes from single filament/point and reflector is optimized to that point. In led bulb there are several "filaments" and none of them is probably in exactly correct position for the reflector. That's why the light is "all over the place".

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Tim, totally agree with you. The fact that these HondaBoats bulbs from Genssei had LEDs pointing in ever direction definitely defeats the purpose of the reflectors and how they are focused for the filament focal point. My most recent review of the Chusyyrays that have the LEDs at the same focal point as the stock halogens is why they are so much better than these and why I have decided to stick with the Chusyyrays. The only downfall of those is that the LEDs are pointing up and down instead of side to side like the original filament. Unfortunately you cannot rotate the orientation on the base. If they took care of that issue, I think they would be perfect (at least for me). I’m happy with the Chusyyrays.
      Thanks for commenting and thanks for watching. Much appreciated 👍

    I have these too just got them a week ago and a little disappointed as well. Looks great but no focused beam. Sucks that this is literally the only product you can get for the front 2 headlights for LED’s, and the company selling them knows that so that’s why they are so pricey. I also bought a pair of LED’s for the handlebar high beam light and it was garbage as well, so I ordered a different brand from amazon that are supposed to be 3000 lumens per bulb and has great reviews. I can live with poor quality low beams if I can get a good quality high beam lol.

    • @EverydayATV
      @EverydayATV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. As was mentioned in another comment, I will probably be going back to halogen for both. Let us know how the new high beam works out. Thanks for watching.

    • @benster27
      @benster27 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Update: I got those high beam bulbs I ordered from amazon that I was talking about and man am I impressed. The light output is great and they have a focused beam pattern that throws the light very well. Definitely makes up for the Poor performance of the LED low beams, easily 10x brighter with the high beam on now (as compared to the other LED highs I bought) The LED high beam bulbs I had ordered the first time were about the same brightness as those AUXLIGHT ones you reviewed in your other video and they were terrible. Hardly even adding any light on top of the LED lows. Makes it worth keeping those low beam LED’s in to have a nice matching set just for looks.

      Please keep in mind that while both bulbs look great as far as the color output, I do not think they light up the ground as well as the factory halogen bulbs. I will probably be switching back to the original bulbs. Hope that helps.
