13:49 That right there is the problem with me trying to make a frikin' SNES game: The tools are just abysmal and so convoluted an abstruse that it makes it kinda impossible for someone like me who isn't some hardcore Assembly programmer. And, seriously, most current SNES programmers really don't like the idea of anyone other than a hardcore programmer making SNES games. That has to change if SNES indie/homebrew game development is going to increase in any meaningful way and indeed if we want to get games made by actual talented designers and such rather than just hardcore programmers. "SNESmaker" is coming in the near future, so that should help greatly, but I'd like to see even more options along those lines and for every aspect of SNES game development to get far simpler and more democratized.
I just wish the interviewer knew what he was talking about. It seems like she didn't follow up on some of his amazing answers, because she could only understand the crust, when there was sooooo much depth.
This is amazing, it needs way more views
I feel like John Romero could read the phonebook aloud and he'd still make it sound interesting and exciting.
