I fell for it where I had to put my card info in for the .30 cent fine, funny thing is when they stole my card info they tried to buy video game money good thing I realized before they bought it and locked my card.
Here’s the thing I am expecting a package today. So how did they know to send me that text today? Did the company I make a purchase from leak my info? I know it’s a scam but how did they know I’m expecting a package?
Yeah, I just got a text saying exactly this, it looked legit and even had the postal eagle on it. It wanted my credit card number for a .30 cent re-delivery fee. We don't even have mail service in my town. Everyone has a postal box, so I knew something was fishy.
I just gave them debit card number and my address and phone number. And it says card number is not supportive card. 😅 so I thought it was weird… so i found out that it was scam. So I locked the card and change the card with different card number. Do you think it’s okay….?
I’ve gotten this scam message a few times. I almost fell for it as I was expecting a pkg but checked porch delivery spot and my pkg was there. I still get these occasionally but ignore.
My family member got one and accidentally clicked the link, then realized it was a scam, so they shut the site down, then reported the text as spam. They didn't put any info in, but I am still worried they may have been hacked.
i just fell for it . because i saw a mails men making a delivery but i didn't receive my stuff . a minute after i receive a message said incorrect address . sometimes i think the scammers are the workers in the delivery company
Hi. In most of these cases, from everything I know, you will only get scammed if you purposely give away any sensitive personal information (if you type it out and give it to them) or if you provide them with a credit card number or other sensitive financial details. If all you did was click or reply, you're likely fine.
Sometimes the link will secretly download a strange app to your phone that can spy on your activity and then the scammers can access all sorts of private information.
I just received one of these texts. I had ordered a plushie for kid sibling's birthday, and it had arrived already few days ago. So seeing something like that I was like: "Okay gotta find the fellow that explains things!" So now I'm here getting that comformation of my gut feeling :')
Got one of these today, caught me off guard and I am expecting a package tomorrow so I clicked the link. Boy you better believe I also clicked the like on this video! I didn't enter any info because the spoofed website said my package would be redelivered on 6/07, and it's currently July. I left the site immediately and reported it to USPS. But clicking the link freaked me out and this video slowed my heart rate lol! Thanks internet friend!
Hey I got a message that said my USPS package Was at a warehouse And that I didn’t provide an address they gave me a link I put it in they gave me a tracking number I put the tracking. Number in the original USPS app and it said that was a common scam number will anything happen
Thank you for you video. I’ve also got the usps package scam message. But unfortunately I had entered my credit card information, so I’ve stopped every credit cards.
Just got one. The wording is suspicious. Part way down “Please reply to Y, then exit the SMS, open the SMS activation link again, or copy the link to a safari browser then open it”. I think this is one of those tests. If someone reads that mess and goes through with it, they’re going to be a prime target for much more than a one time scam.
So what if I fell for the scam and I don't have a bank account to contact but I want to contact someone to save my identity without making my parents angry?
I almost fell for this. I ordered a phone from my cell phone company and two days later got that message. Girlfriend told me it was a scam. I was about to make sure my phone was coming lol
I was scammed on a loan application. When I called the number for the company I was connected to that company, but when my call was transferred to an agent it was intercepted by a scammer, I thought I was still dealing with a legitimate firm and I gave some information. My bank detected the scam and stopped the process but I was terminated by them for giving out the information. So I have to get another bank to accept me. Is this something new?
I just fell for this today. On the usps website it says that if it's a phone number sending you the text it's a scam. I ended up cancelling my card immediately, so I hope that works.
i don’t feel sympathy for anyone falling for a scam like this. i don’t understand how anyone CAN fall for it, or any type of email/texting scam. i understand there are ridiculously gullible people out there that you may be helping with this video and i understand that is the point, very commendable and im sure it helps. but people shouldn’t need to be told this information. i feel like if someone is able to believe the scams, they deserve the consequential lesson.
Your remark show's your lack of empathy. Senior's are very easily fooled by these scams. It could be your mom next time. I can't tell you how many of these texts we get while coincidently waiting for a package to arrive. And since we are signed up for notifications from USPS, FedEx, and others, I can see how easily someone can be duped.
I had usps, ups, and fedex scammers send me this. I just ignored it 😂
Good!
I received these messages and didn't pay no mind to them and deleted them...
I rarely get messages like this too often, but when i do, instant block/report as spam. Its sad how others need to scam people for money...
I never click on unknown links I don't know
Jordan I gave them my ssn and other information is that really bad?
I recommend contacting the Social Security Administration to ask if they advise you to do anything. I'm so sorry this happened.
This is why I don’t order anything on this phone lol
I've never ordered anything online.
Never will.

Okay but like how do they always know exactly when I order something do the company’s leak my info?
It's likely just a strange coincidence.

I received that message
Clicking a link may allow them to know that your email address is valid and let them know your IP address and location
Jordan, will I get scammed if I replied to the message? I didn’t click on the link, and then I blocked and reported the text

How do they get out numbers?? That’s what drives me crazy.
I get these USPS, FEDEX, UPS texts/emails & the Direct TV calls where they actually know my name. Direct TV won't call you to sell you anything.
