On the Road to COP16: Update on the review of the Indicator methodology of the GPA

In July 2024, UNEP-WCMC and Women4Biodiveristy co-developed an indicator methodology to track the progress of Target 23 of the KM-GBF. The indicator has benefitted from valuable feedback and contribution from Parties, members of the Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on Indicators, major stakeholders and observers to the CBD, women’s organisations following a peer review process, and bilateral testing online sessions with several Parties. The information session aims to provide an update on the co-development and peer review process.
While the target audiences are the Parties to the CBD via their designated Gender and Biodiversity National Focal Points and National Focal Points, Women4Biodiversity also welcomes participation from representatives from major groups and observers with expertise in gender equality and indicators.
There will be two sessions provided. Each session will be an hour long with the timings as per the below,
2 AM EDT and 10 AM EDT
7 AM London Time and 3 PM London Time
1 PM Bangkok Time and 9 PM Bangkok time
