    Recently just bought v2 from p80. Your break down makes it hard not to love it before it gets here. Cant wait to enjoy it!

    Brownell's has a great series of slides with the option for an RMR. EXCELLENT quality and much less price.

    Speaking from experience, don’t waste your money on a P 80 unless you have experience more than a beginner in rifle and hand gun repair for all models. There is an awful lot of work for, someone that does not have experience. You are better off buying a printer and printedone yourself. There is so much information out there that way you can see the process and you can learn everything you need to learn to be successful. I am speaking from experience again, I say.!

    Awesome video...I have several of the V2 frames as well as the G19, the 940C and the G26 or 940SC....I love them all, but the V2 is definitely my favorite.

    I loved my m&p shield over my old 19 hearing other people say the polymer 80 has a grip that feels more like the m&p

    WAIT A MINUTE! I WAS SUPPOSED TO USE A MILLING MACHINE TO GET RID OF THAT?
    DAMN BOYS I SCREWED UP! I USED A PAIR OF FLUSH CUT NIPPERS AND A BOX CUTTER TO SMOOTH IT OUT!
    Although I did have a lot of trouble getting that spring relief cut, I only got about 90% of it out and now I got to wait to get home to grab a round file to finish it off.

      My last one I did I was so used to doing it I used a s&w survival knife for the rail tabs and a round file for the recoil spring channel. Took about 10 minutes.

    P80 doesn't stand behind there products unless your a youtuber I got there gen 1 part of there pre order to get the money for the pressure molds and one of the plastic slide rails broke off and they gave me a runaround not good customer support in my opinion nice video though gonna try a new gen so all my parts aren't wasted

      chad Owens that’s interesting. I do not work for Polymer80 nor do they pay me in any way. This is a hobby for me, and from my experience they have excellent customer service. You might try calling again and talking to someone else.

    Is so sad that glock wont listen to their customers like poly 80 has cuz you are right this frame is way better. Only thing is we would want a gen 4 and glock 20 80% frames 😁

    Great video but I question how good the S3F barrels are. 1 in 16 isn't exactly what I would call great, especially since you can get 1 in 10 barrels for about the same price. Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me.

    • @DesertGuardian

      It is a little stiff. I start with the rearward end first and squeeze it in. check out my other P80 assembly videos for more details.

      What I do, after drilling the holes on each side of the frame, is to run a drill bit all the way through by hand. And that seems to help a lot.

    • @DesertGuardian
      @DesertGuardian  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have any problems with that. Is the frame milled correctly? Also, make sure some polymer didn't fall into the frame holding the rails up. Maybe one of the holes is off a little?

    What is the cost to build one of these verses buying a Glock?

    • @DesertGuardian
      @DesertGuardian  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      anubisgodofgods this particular setup is built with many high-end parts, and would definitely cost more than just buying a Glock 17. You can build a P80 for about the same price if you source less expensive or factory parts to go with the frame.

    • @anubisgodofgods
      @anubisgodofgods 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya I did some looking around and the best I could do was about $550 to build the gun using the cheapest new parts I could find. The slide being the most expensive single part of the build and that was a stripped slide. Adding the slide components increased the slide cost even more. I'm going to wait and see if a v3 is released that fixes some of my concerns with the polymer 80 frame.

    • @trilliamogdlocog4986
      @trilliamogdlocog4986 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      anubisgodofgods then get a regular glock if you cant afford it I built mine for 400 all oem parts the v3 might even be more expensive with good reason

    • @jimsmirh2406
      @jimsmirh2406 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      anubisgodofgods Another way to look at the cost of the P80 versus the factory Glock is this: if you want a custom Glock based firearm the P80 is the way to go since you can build it the way you want it. On the other hand with a factory Glock, you would have to buy it then customize therefore increasing your costs well above just building the P80.

  • @NYRM1974
    @NYRM1974 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The PF940V2 is a much better improvement than the first generation Polymer 80 V1 frames. Good things come to he who waits. It was worth the wait.
