Thanks "Famous". I often wonder if things were like when I first backpacked in 70,no social media, TH-cam. If the back country would be even less ventured in. You do such a great job on your videos making us all wanting to venture out more.🙂
I bet there would be way less people out on trail. Social media has done a really good job of putting the trails and outdoor spaces on people’s radars. Hopefully this means more trail advocates for our beautiful outdoor spaces. 🤞🤞
@@scottslotterbeck3796 Old days of hiking? I think ANY day I get to spend hiking is a good one. On this particular section of the PCT, I hardly saw anyone else out there over the 7 days I was out on trail. If you're looking for solitude and want to travel through some remote backcountry, this might be the section for you. Good luck!
I've been waiting all week for this episode to drop!! Can't say this enough, but the scenery is beautiful and majestic!! Not only is my JMT planning and gear coming along, but I'm also in the works for trial runs next summer on a few few day hikes getting familiar with the gear but what my food consumption will be like as 2023 will be hear before I know it!!
Loved your video. It was a great memory jogger as I grew up in Darrington and hiked in and out of the high country in and around Glacier Peak as well as North Cascades NP. Now retired and living in Chicago. Thanks for the Memory.
This is a big part why I wanted to hike this section. The views I did see when I came through the first time in 2018 were amazing. Now in 2021, I can still vouch for those views - just as amazing as I remembered them and even a bit better because this time I got really good weather coming through here, for the most part.
It’s scary and the water crossings change every year with whatever winter leaves behind. Just take your time and go slow. This is such an incredible section of the PCT. Don’t let a couple of crazy water crossings detour you from planning your trip. Good luck!
It was crazy bare. When I got a bit closer and on the other side of the mountain the next day, I did hear a big avalanche. It was so loud dnd of course I was by myself so it was a wee bit scary.
Beautiful mountain view. Maybe I'll do PCT after I'm done with AT.

I am eventually going to do the K section. However, that log crossing scares me LOL.
