Campbell's has the vegetable soup with beef stock as well as the vegetarian vegetable soup, which has vegetable stock as its base. Unfortunately, it's NOT vegan, since the little pasta bits in the soup have egg whites in them.
Dollar Rama owes you big time…this was fabulous advertisement for them, featuring our very own vegan star, 🌹 Rose! Best find for me was your baby steps back to the cart with the Oreos! Woo hoo!
The absolute easiest dessert to make is to buy a box of brownie mix (most are vegan by accident) and a can of black beans. Blend the entire can of beans including the liquid in a blender (or food processor, just don’t blend the can itself, heh heh heh) and mix with brownier mix. Done. Bake according to package instructions. So easy, so fudgey, so cheap.
This is such an inspiration. I seem to be struggling to keep up with the rising cost of food lately, and never thought to look at the dollar store. They're not that popular in Edmonton, but we did recently get a Dollar Tree, I'll have to check it out!
Wouldn't it make more sense to just go to Dollarama? Since that's the one she went to. Dollar Tree sucks but Dollarama has plenty of good stuff. (I am also from Edmonton)

When you went for the Pepsi instead of the Bubbly, I was blown away (until you explained the baking hack). I wonder if Bubbly would also work for cake mix...I might have to experiment!
My favourite recipe of all time is the Oh She Glows Sundried Tomato Pasta. I am so happy to see sundried tomatoes at the dollar store! They are always so pricey or sold out
I found VEGAN JERKY AT DOLLARAMA about a year ago! It was their "D Gourmet" brand. Right near the Harvest Snaps (also near checkout at some locations). It wasn't amazing, but decent for the price. Haven't seen it recently though.

Some of these comments are so out of touch smh. Some people only have realistic access to a dollar store, and it's great to see that it is possible to have a plant-based diet at these types of stores so that people won't be worried about where they can buy food.

I wish we did that in the US. Why aren’t we making things work for the planet? They want to harp we have to save the planet but do nothing about it. It would make sense to force everyone to recycle and reuse things. Even get rid of plastic bags and make everyone bring their own
Yeah I usually bring my own reusable bag or my shopping trolley when I have a big shop and I tend to walk wherever I can but plastic is hard to avoid in all of our food. I'm glad we have red cycling here.
A side note for cake mixes... literally any can of carbonated beverage work.. I love the PC vanilla cherry soda flavoured water in any cake mix!! So yummy

Eating vegan is getting so popular in the netherlands now that we seriously get new vegan products weekly! So we have a few vegan cake mixes, brownie mixes and even cheesecake available. 😊 gotta love it.
I shop at the dollar store all the time, one of the items i buy are a rolled rice cake snack that are really good. They are very popular so they sell out quickly. I always buy the aloe vera drink also, really good when its cold. Can't wait to see what you make from your haul.
Betty Crocker vanilla frosting is vegan and at Dollarama. I still check the ingredients every time expecting to find milk products. I even checked AGAIN before commenting. 😂
Unless you make a buttercream frosting (which is perishable and needs top quality ingredients) frosting is usually a combination of sugars and water and flavourings+ colour and never contains animal ingredients. "Creamy" frosting in a can has margarine in it--ok if you want that.
For fellow Canadian viewers, that jasmine rice from the dollarama she passed on is horrible taste like chemicals DO NOT BUY lol.. it's cheaper to buy rice in big bulk anyway 😁

We have 1 big Dollar Tree near us that has an OK vegan selection, but they stopped carrying several of their vegan food items late last year.
I'm in Virginia (the home of Dollar Tree), and I wish another dollar-store chain like Dollerama would enter this market. Now that DT has gone up to $1.25 for most of their items, they need some serious competition to keep them on their toes.
Love Uncle Bens and Jasmine rice. I get both all the time. Nice haul. Bugles is my all time favorite. If only we had a Dollar store like that. Ours In my town is called Dollar General. Love baby corn too.
The grocery store near one of my co-workers closed and was replaced with a dollarama. She was pretty upset. I told her that she can get a lot of stuff at the dollar store, so not to worry too much. Also, I just picked up Bugles at the dollar store yesterday too. My 2 year old loved them.... I usually make him eat healthy stuff for the record.
I don't know what Campbell's is currently using as ingredients. But several years ago, I checked several times and they were "hiding" meat contents under "flavorings," or "spices," or similar. So you need to check about what Campbell's is using right now as ingredients in their soups!!! I grew up on Campbell's Soups, and I was SO SURPRISED to find out that dead animal ingredients were included in their soups. Back when I was growing up, all of us thought that these soups were vegetarian. (My family raised me as a vegetarian.)

Add the veggie soup mix to a plain vegan yogurt or a cashew cream and you have a chip dip! If the onion soup mix by knorr is vegan you can do the same same! 👍🙃 The dollar trees in Canada are supposed to be jacking up their prices this year 😔 Put a fruit roll up in the freezer laid out flat for about 20 mins, makes a delicious crunchy treat 😋

Yes the cake trick works with diet soda. I use the Stevia brand soda in cake and brownie mix sometimes.
