Thank you for taking the time out of your day to make a video like this. My son was trying to build a PC, and nothing seemed to help until he sat down in front of your video and went step by step. It is almost built, just a few more parts. Wish us luck!
I really appreciated the time and consideration you took for first-timers. Although I've seen so many builds, this is the video I used to help me actually build in this case. The zoom-ins helped. For example with the front panel I wasn't sure which orientation to plug the POWER SW because the manual and mono don't say. So I assumed label-size up. I hope that's correct. Also I appreciated the note that the 3-pin fan connectors can be used with a splitter, and to take care for the front USB connector (I bent the pins a few times, and then devised a way to prevent the pressure from the connector from pulling on the mobo). Thanks! Edit: Problem is the the mobo only offers 4-pin fan headers, not 3-pin! What to do? Ah. Sorry. It can only be plugged in one way anyway (with the FAN PWM pin unused)(to which I guess the Corsair Lighting Node takes care of)

Did your included fans also come with 3-pin connection..? Because I’m building my pc right now and they do not have a PWM connection. The RGB cables has 4 “holes” but the power connectors are 3-pin. My motherboard does not have 3-pin connections, and neither does the Commander Core XT I bought to control them. I bought one extra SP120 rgb elite to use as my exhaust, and that one is PWN. So, is my only option here to purchase a 3-pack of those and replace the included front fans? 🙁
Depends on model of case u got mate some come with 3 pin and some 4 pin. Both are compatible with the 4 pin system headers and commander core though. All u need to do is line up the slots on the headers with the clip and u will have 1 pin unused. One is dc 3 pin and one is 4 pin pwm.

Im confused. so corsair says, the max length of the gpu can be 300mm. The Rog-Strix is 31.85cm in length (Tec.specs. on the rog-strix page). so what is the absolute max. length you can you get with the GPU?!
As u can see we manages to get it in no problem but I wouldn't go much bigger than this tbh mate - I can't measure it as I don't have tge build anymore - good luck though

Love this video. I'm using 220t for 3 years now with 3900X but with its stock cooler and wanted to get that exact AIO cooler but I didn't know if that will fit in there I mean on top. This video helped me decide if I should get 240mm Capellix. I wanted to go for 360mm to mount at front but I'm using colorful 2080super Vulcan X (not much room left) and also 3.5 HDD that's why I can't get 360mm at front. I'm just not sure how 240mm Capellix will perform on my 3900X. Thanks for the video
HI mate thanks for the positive feedback and glad it could help! yeah 100% be fine and more than enough to cool the 3900x - Max temps when testing at the time was 71c on cpu and at idol below 30c in normal circumstances in 50c - 60c range which is fine.
Hi, wondering if you can help. Trying to sort out parts for this case. I've got an i5-12600K CPU, wondered what MoBo you'd recommend it I go with the corsair vengeance SL 32gb ram? Want to make sure I don't hit the AIO (the same in your vid)
Do you wanna go z690 or b660 and get a better model? I personally like the b660 aurus master it's £208 here in UK. Other question is the case ditsy a 240mm aio at the top so ram choice needs to be low profile such as the below.
Unless I'm building sff build I always go atx tbh mate. I prefer the additional real estate it takes up in mid towers and the additional connectivity also. This is all budget depending tho so please feel free to get what ever meets your needs.
Hey mate it's too big. U would need the SL version and even then would depend on heatsink on mobo etc this was tight for me. Lpx would be best option but no rhb obviously. Good luck 👍
Ho Marc it has to be really low profile ram so it dont interfere with the aio if top mounted as the case wasn't originally meant to have aio at the top
I would go into bios and restore back to factory settings - Then Only enable DOCP - It could be that the RAM your using isn't DOCP compatible IE, on the QVL list for your mobo - Have you checked that also
@@TechCheckUK I believe it might be my cpu since it's a ryzen 5 3400g, looking to upgrade soon, but I'll check if it compatible, I have a crucial ballistic 3600mhz cl16
Nice ram mate 👍 normally compatible but have had a few issues with 3600mhz in the past. So many variables tbh. What mobo, how many dims of ram, mzh, single channel or dual channel etc. Good luck on the upgrade 👍
Then you would be pulling in cool air and then putting more warm air into your system - normally cool air intake from front or bottom and then exhaust warmer air through top and rear
el nombre del controlador es Corsair comandante xt - Permite 6 ventiladores PWM y 6 conexiones de ventilador RGB y luego se conecta a la placa base a través de una conexión usb2. espero que esto ayude
Good morning. Great video, it's very helpful. I'm doing a similar build but it's ryzen 5 5500 and rx 5600. Just wondering, if I wanted to add a fourth ARGB fan as an exhaust, would the RGB controller that comes with the case accommodate it?
@@aliakay4106 you can yeah but it is really tight so if u want to be cautious just front mount as intake and 2 exhaust at top and rear fan also as exhaust mate
I just curious cuz I’ve heard so much that aios will not fit at the top and I’m building a budget build and the ram in this build is the same as I’m using I’m just wondering cuz I will just be using the stock cooler for now with the 5600x but will be getting tha h100i I just wanna make sure so I don’t waste money will it differ if I use a different motherboard will the aio still fit cuz tha is a pricy one in the vid
@@jamiegilpin4637 personally it will depend on the mobo and ram and aio config as u saw in this video its was very tight fit but possible - I would go and change tge ram to Corsair vengence sl ram to allow a little more room but if its a budget build the stock cooler is perfect and should t need the 240 aio anyway. This build was £1000 at tge time of building with gpu prices declining I think 900 is a better estimate now
Thank you very much so would the Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL work cuz I rly want some rgb thanks very much for ur help that’s me sorted glad to see TH-camrs actually responding
It was really really tight with the config I had tbh mate. I would t like to say yeah and it not fit as that would be bad advice and I haven't tried that so sorry mate
@arthur morin most new aio come with a additional mounting hardware as the heights of the cpu are different. If u have a am5 mobo they only support ddr5 but have same clearances
The ones I used were 44mm so shoukd be fine but just very aware it will be right - u may also need to mount so the ram is in the middle where the fans offer more room. Good luck 👍
I saw that in the background of your video that u have alot of different components. How did u get them all? Just asking bc u have 2k subs and that normally does not get alot of money from yt so I am curious

Your pc is beautiful , I want to ask , if you think the B550 tomahawk and G skill trident RGB ram would leave enough space for me to mount aio cooler on top just like you , your ram height is 5.1 cm but still it didn't interrupt your aio , is it becoz of your motherboard ? Hey did you have to do a bios update on this motherboard. I want to get this board. But I am a completely first time builder and I don't know if I would be able to do a bios update. Plus my main computer is a mac. You have any suggestions?
Hi mate yes this will require a bios update for 5000 series cpus please note u will also need a 3000 series cpu on order to update as no bios flash on the board. If u tell me your budget I'll tell you a board that you can just use straight out of the box or comes with features that make it really easy
@@TechCheckUK Hey thanks for responding. My budget is about or a little over 1000. I Have been looking at the Rog Strix B-550f wifi. That one is ryzen 5000 ready I believe. It also has a bios flash button. But I dont know if the wifi and bluetooth is good on it. I don't really care about a usb-c header. @@TechCheckUK Thanks, one last question, even if I use a different motherboard would I still be able to follow this video a little bit? I mostly using the same parts accept for the case.
How much space is there between the cooler and the ram? Do you think the corsair vegence rgb fit? I checked the measurements and they are bigger than the ones you used! Another question are your ram usable with the Icue program?
Hi Mate no Vengence pro rgb wont fit and these are Klevv 16GB 3600mhz C16 and they were so tight too!! they cant be controlled via icue only asus software - you need ultra low profile ram like vengence LPX or ballistix to be sure and I wouldn't want to say any others as I haven't tried and dont want to give wrong information - That being said also matters on the heatsink height and VRM of the motherboard too. Sorry I couldn't help more! thanks for the support
I own the ballistix, but I wanted an rgb solution, the ones you installed I saw that they measure 13.35 x 1.3 x 5.1 cm; but I can't figure out how much space left from your video. Have you tried others that fit? and thanks for the answer and above all for the video that I will follow when I get it all!
I've seen the kingston fury beasts that are even smaller (13.34 x 0.71 x 4.11 cm) even if it would be even better, do you know them? Would you recommend them?
Good video I really enjoyed it. The only question I have is I am building a similar pc but I don't know what motherboard I should use, should I go for a Asus ROG b550-f or the motherboard you are using in your video?

@@TechCheckUK yes I ended up googling it and realized that was possible, and my build is now finished and up and running. Btw, thank you for this video. It helped me a lot in dealing with my first build!!
@Ellen Jansson no problem and good job on 1st build 👏 👍
idk how you fit that h100 icue on top. I used a micro atx board with the corsair rs was too big. guess should of went with the pro sl maybe.
Yeah its really tight with the standard vengence ram but with sl it's a nice fit as it's slightly lower profile

Hello very helpful video I have the case case but my aoi won’t fit in the top of the pc, how did you make yours work mine is hitting the rams is anything I can do to make it work
It all depends on the mobo and the ram and the aio even then my friend its still tight
Can you also plug in fans from an other brand to the commander core?
Yes for pwm power but not rgb control - essentially it would just be a fan hub
@@TechCheckUK alright thank you

Im confused. so corsair says, the max length of the gpu can be 300mm. The Rog-Strix is 31.85cm in length (Tec.specs. on the rog-strix page). so what is the absolute max. length you can you get with the GPU?!
As u can see we manages to get it in no problem but I wouldn't go much bigger than this tbh mate - I can't measure it as I don't have tge build anymore - good luck though
@@TechCheckUK in this case, a 4070ti from tuf gaming fits pretty good. i was veeery insecured that will fit. ive measured it, what actualy can be build in maximum length. ive got 314mm from the back gpu mountingpoint to the back of the build in corsair-fan By the way i was wrong with the lenghts of the rog strix. its exactly 300mm. :D thx for the answer :D

@@TechCheckUK thanks for this information ❤️

Hi, wondering if you can help. Trying to sort out parts for this case. I've got an i5-12600K CPU, wondered what MoBo you'd recommend it I go with the corsair vengeance SL 32gb ram? Want to make sure I don't hit the AIO (the same in your vid)
Was thinking maybe the Gigabyte Z690 GAMING X DDR4 ATX?
Do you wanna go z690 or b660 and get a better model? I personally like the b660 aurus master it's £208 here in UK. Other question is the case ditsy a 240mm aio at the top so ram choice needs to be low profile such as the below.
Ram amzn.to/3SlBmZB or amzn.to/3ChUh25 mobo - www.awd-it.co.uk/components/motherboards/intel-motherboards/h610-b660-h670-chipset-lga-1700/gigabyte-b660-aorus-master-ddr4-intel-atx-wifi-motherboard-lga-1700.html?wgp=13527&gclid=CjwKCAjwvsqZBhAlEiwAqAHElaztJea58evh7oXyaceQ8t7vSeEdTw14vklbaEIWygJIx9LhEYEgbxoCEMUQAvD_BwE&gclid=CjwKCAjwvsqZBhAlEiwAqAHElaztJea58evh7oXyaceQ8t7vSeEdTw14vklbaEIWygJIx9LhEYEgbxoCEMUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&&source=webgains&siteid=1295665
or amazon - amzn.to/3DWkAMf
Did you comment why you chose the atx mb instead of a micro atx version that is cheaper?
Unless I'm building sff build I always go atx tbh mate. I prefer the additional real estate it takes up in mid towers and the additional connectivity also. This is all budget depending tho so please feel free to get what ever meets your needs.
also will pny xlr8 ram have enough clearance for the aio??
It's all depends on mobo also mate with VRM heatsink - it was really tight in this video so u may have trouble
good vid i have 3060 myself but the msi version
Nice mate 👌 thanks 4 watching I appreciate it 👍
I have the same gpu and cpu I love the strix card designs
Thanks mate glad u enjoyed 👍
I plan on making a similar build. I wanted to ask if the crosair vengeance rgb pro whould fit or is it too big?
Hey mate it's too big. U would need the SL version and even then would depend on heatsink on mobo etc this was tight for me. Lpx would be best option but no rhb obviously. Good luck 👍
Thermal paste... did I miss something? Whats goin on, was it already on the cpu?
Yes pal already on cpu block from corsair
Hello, which another kit of ram Can get in this build ? This model Corsair Vengeance rgb RS 2x8 go 3600mhz ?
Ho Marc it has to be really low profile ram so it dont interfere with the aio if top mounted as the case wasn't originally meant to have aio at the top

@@KakunouGataJurei nice mate and I'm sorry for late reply I have been on holiday

Hi mate no I just enabled DOCP and away we went - no issues have u overclocked your cpu?
Thank you for answering, yes I did try to but even that would crash my pc as well
I would go into bios and restore back to factory settings - Then Only enable DOCP - It could be that the RAM your using isn't DOCP compatible IE, on the QVL list for your mobo - Have you checked that also
@@TechCheckUK I believe it might be my cpu since it's a ryzen 5 3400g, looking to upgrade soon, but I'll check if it compatible, I have a crucial ballistic 3600mhz cl16
Nice ram mate 👍 normally compatible but have had a few issues with 3600mhz in the past. So many variables tbh. What mobo, how many dims of ram, mzh, single channel or dual channel etc. Good luck on the upgrade 👍
the liquid cooler fans, does it pull out the air inside the case to radiator?
Yeah the aio is set as an exhaust at the top so will take air from inside the case and exhaust via pushing air through the radiator
@@TechCheckUK what happens if the fans are other way around?
Then you would be pulling in cool air and then putting more warm air into your system - normally cool air intake from front or bottom and then exhaust warmer air through top and rear
@@TechCheckUK Thanks
No problem
Hi, have a question, im using tuf ram. if i put aio on top, do i still have a space? or it will block the ram?

Hi Mate no Vengence pro rgb wont fit and these are Klevv 16GB 3600mhz C16 and they were so tight too!! they cant be controlled via icue only asus software - you need ultra low profile ram like vengence LPX or ballistix to be sure and I wouldn't want to say any others as I haven't tried and dont want to give wrong information - That being said also matters on the heatsink height and VRM of the motherboard too. Sorry I couldn't help more! thanks for the support
