    Quite surprised as to why BRV did not sell a lot. It’s a perfect crossover, definitely not a SUV, but an awesome value. Ground clearance, good CVT, peddle shifters and 3 rows when needed. I would call it a 6 seater not a seven seater. Looking for a preowned automatic in pune. Pls refer guys.

    I’m planning to buy used BRV, I have below questions, appreciate if you could respond. 1) does this car has creep function? 2) hill start assist or hill hold available, will cart roll down the slope if brake not applied? 3) 2017 model 35k kms driven good condition 7.4 lacs is it fair price? 4) does Honda provide service for this model and spare part availability

      5.5L is a good price to buy but at the same time its very low too. Kindly go through service history and kilometers done. Check the car completely like underbody and other parts. Also check insurance for any previous claims. If these all points are ok... go for it... its a nice & practical car to have

    I have BRV DIESEL VX MT 2018 model and I have driven around 35,000kms so far. My only problem is after reaching 145kms speed there is electronic speed limiter,it's frustrating my previous car was verna crdi 2008 which used to touch above 180kms speed on open highways.My question is one of my close friend suggested me he will remove speed limiter through Ecu mapping shall I go ahead

    • @InsideoutIndia
      @InsideoutIndia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Why to play with the safety. 145 kmph is a high speed and we rearly don’t drive at this speed on our india highway. Even if you get to drive it above 145 kmph it will be just for few minutes. Plus BRV is an SUV and it’s not ment to be driven on high speeds. Sedan’s are fast and that’s why the speed difference. Honda City can do what your verna use to do bcoz of the body structure. And even if u remove the speed lock of BRV and drive it at 180 kmph it will not feel as comfortable as verna.

    On the basis of all facts & figures Honda Brv is proved a smart SUV. Others like creta, duster, S Crass are compact SUVs but not as smart as BRv. It is also a matter of fact that BRv has discontinued but others are still in the showrooms and few are selling like hot cakes.
    Definitely brv did not pack with touch screen, reverse camera (R cam) in the beginning and added later, but these are not the whole things. Brv is having 2 seats extra which is more useful than touch screen & R cam. Touch screen & reverse camera can be implanted from out side but 2 extra seats can not be implanted.
    Other SUV designers mostly concentrated on one seat (driver's seat) only but designers of brv are concentrated on all seats. Friends, there are no any universally accepted definition of SUVs. Different experts, diff. Peoples, different nations are having their own definitions . Brv maximally fits on variety of definitions of SUVs.
    Honda tried to give a smart useful 7 seater SUV in price of existing 5 seater SUVs. Despite of having lots of useful qualities BRV failed to attract majority of indian people , reasons are multiple, may be Weak marketing, lack of awareness in customers, destiny related factor etc.
    There is needless uproar of offroading in the market. In india only 1 to 2 % people go for offroading. They also not go for it very often. Peoples are very busy in their onroad works. They travel point to point and also wishes to travel on smooth plane roads. So, for indian peoples (except forest and army officials) needless to search for 4WD . Front wheel derive ( FWD) vehicle is most sufficient for them. Brv, creat, duster (except few models), S cross all are FWD.
    Brv is a stylish, stable, powerful, comfortable, spacious, mileage frugal & peppy smart SUV.
    If we look for a little comparison between BRV, Creta, Duster, S Cross then we can see the Brv is the most qualified SUV over others.
    A) Ground clearance - Brv 210mm, creta 190mm, duster 205mm, S cross 180 mm.
    B) Tyre size - 16 inch for all.
    C) CC - nearly 1.5 for all with few minor differences
    D) Average (petrol) - between 15 l. to 18 l. for all
    E) Kerb wt. - between 1100 kg to 1300 kg for all

      Did you buy it from Honda terrace or directly from seller? I'm also planning to buy the same car used as this car is not that demanded in used cars market so I expect good deal. Currently I own 2019 Swift diesel automatic and I'm from Pune.

    Nice video on jump start.
    I own one BR-V i-vtec v-mt 2017 model. All is good and fine as compared to it's rivals in its price segment. I even did cross-Himalayan off-road drive to District Mustang(Tibetan Plateau) via Pokhara, Nepal in Dec-2017. Front wheel drive in BR-V is superior.
    But, the biggest drawback I found in BR-V is that the front end is very much prone to damage in case of minor head on collision or if you hit a bumpy culvert while off-road driving (even if a stray dog comes in front at speed of 30kmph or if you bump a vehicle in front in 20kmph traffic).
    A/C condenser gets damaged straight away and it's frame bent. Then there is a frustrating wait of around 7days given by the service centre to procure the required parts from Honda.
    I'm considering installing bull-bars (front steel guard) to protect the front end of my BR-V from minor collisions.

      @InsideoutIndia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you... it’s indeed a nice car... very practical... some features missing but u can live with it. I found the driver seat a bit low for a cross over. If we raise it, it becomes uncomfortable. Rest all is good.

    • @SushilKPingua
      @SushilKPingua 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InsideoutIndia Initially I too had issues with driver seat height, since then I've kept the driver seat to it's maximum height permanently, and because of it I've to everytime slide the seat back before I get into the car then slide the seat forward after I've seated myself and also slide the seat back before I get out of car. It's in habitual practice now for me since 2017. The other issue I found with the BR-V is that the 'aluminium pipes' which carry chilled air from the a/c to the rear ac vent passes underneath the car's body exposed to debris passing under the car and in my car those pipes once got hit by debris and had to be replaced.

    • @InsideoutIndia
      @InsideoutIndia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SushilKPingua I think the rear AC is just a blower not a separate AC unlike innova which has a separate AC

    • @SushilKPingua
      @SushilKPingua 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@InsideoutIndia Yes you are right, the rear ac vent is a blower bringing cool air from the singular ac of the car, and when the pipes underneath the body of br-v carrying cool air gets damaged the ac stops working because compressed air in the ac gets leaked out.
      BR-V in my opinion is a very good car if restricted to smooth roads of city/highway only. It is a crossover to run over city's speedbreakers and potholes only.
      I once tried using the Mobil1 5W-30 in summer as mentioned in the manual but got poor results in smoothness, acceleration and mileage. Then switched back to Amsoil 0W-20 and everything is fine again.

    पेट्रोल में 1.75 लाख और डीजल में 2.5 लाख ओवर प्राइज्ड है।
    Its petrol models are Rs 1.75lakh overpriced and diesel models are Rs 2.5 lakh overpriced.
    Top model diesel is exceeding 14 lakhs .. Not a worth at all. For 1.5Ltr and below 110Ps engine.
    Better to buy Suzuki XL 6. Now Indian are buying internationally known as cheap brands such as Kia and MG, so doesn't make any difference in status symbol whether Honda or Suzuki.
