This video shows some QTS Twin Screw Pump capabilities. Sometimes called Double Screw Pumps or just Screw Pumps, Twin Screw Pumps have many of the advantages of regular progressive cavity features, but few of their drawbacks. Features include: high suction lift, self-priming, reversible flow, gentle solids handling, CIP-ability, quiet operation, 60% entrained air and more!
Multiple impeller pitches are available and demo units are available for trial!
Contact Springer Pumps today for more information, a quote or a consultation to find out how Springer Pumps and Q-Pumps can improve your process and bottom line.

Q Pumps has been perfecting this technology since 2013 while other manufacturers are playing catch up. The Waukesha Universal Twin Screw and Fristam FDS are new to the market and for the most part, have gearboxes taken from their lobe/circumferential piston pumps. This means they are overbuilt and pricey. They will also need refinement as more bugs are discovered in their design.
Springer Pumps and Q Pumps have a wide range of application experience and Twin Screw Pump knowledge that allow us to properly size and specify the right pump.

It's definitely a great way to transfer fully saturation barely from the Mashtun to the lautertun .in the Brewing process. And possibly for dry hopping in a F.v.
    Thanks for sharing.

We are getting a lot of 1X RPM pulse vibration from one of these pumping sauce. So they not do well pumping against a prv or very high head?

Hi Margy, Not necessarily but we should look at all conditions, including the suction side. Please tell me suction pressure (pressure at the inlet port) and discharge pressure. If suction pressure is not known, provide the following and we'll calculate: Viscosity, vertical and horizontal distances to the pump inlet, tube piping i.d., flow rate, pump speed. If pump speed is not known tell us motor speed, reducer ratio and if controlled by a VFD the HZ when the vibrations occur. Also, do the vibrations present at all speeds when pumping all fluids? If not what conditions make it worse or better. Finally send pump nameplate so we can source a data sheet. regards, Rick rick@springerpumps.com

How do you think these do against pressure? For example, a sand filter on the effluent side, and a swimming pool or fish pond on the influent side?

They would perform okay, but that is not the ideal application for these pumps. A centrifugal pump like an MDM Advance or Genesys that is designed for aquaculture applications such as ponds would be best: catalog.springerpumps.com/category/mdm-multi-duty-manufacturing

Also, the price point would be prohibitive to aquaculture applications. These pumps are mostly stainless steel and other expensive alloys, and ponds/aquariums generally use fiber reinforced plastics for pump components and piping.

@@SpringerPumpsLLCTelford Thanks for replying. Ok that seems to make sense. I'm currently interested in impeller designs that can convey stubborn solids like leaves and twigs through the pump to the filter media with a lower risk of entanglement or blockage inside the pump. There is the option of placing the mechanical filter before the pump instead of after, but those filter designs generally can't be back-washed as I understand.

Contact us for information on Hidrostal Compact Pumps. They are as close to a clog-free pump design as you can get. You can view a video explaining how they work here: th-cam.com/video/W8NLEOvF4xE/w-d-xo.html and you can learn more about them on our site here: catalog.springerpumps.com/category/hidrostal
Your next best option would be something like an AMT vertical centrifugal pump: catalog.springerpumps.com/category/submersible-pumps-2
Sorry for the long delay in responding. TH-cam never notified us that you commented again. Thanks for your interest and contact us directly at info@springerpumps.com if you would like.

Can we use it for cake cream pumping (bakery)

Yes, this and the Graco SaniForce Drum Unloaders are both possibilities for that. However a product test is always recommended after an initial Application Data review is completed.
