    You just stepped into the blast radius of the ThorpyFX Muffroom Cloud. The Muffroom Cloud is a painstakingly engineered fuzz that starts with an exceptionally sweet take on the classic circuit. The design is based around a "Triangle" Muff but seeks to eliminate the negatives of the variant. The typical Muff-style tone control was completely removed, and in its place is a versatile two-band active EQ, with controls for Treble and Bass. These two bands are highly interactive and players will find an almost-infinite number of sweet spots hiding within both knobs. Of course, no Muff is complete without singing sustain, and the Muffroom Cloud has it in spades. The range of the Sustain control is larger than most, due in part to its robust saturation when cranked, and its ability to clean up with the Sustain and guitar volume down. The Muffroom Cloud is built to withstand its namesake, by a British Army Major who knows the meaning of the term "military spec." Constructed by hand in Wiltshire, England, the Muffroom uses audiophile components housed in a custom laser etched enclosure.

    If I could speak in a heavy metal voice at all times, it would be powered by this pedal.

    Thanks Andy and PGS, I saw the demo for this over at Anderton's Channel and was ready to dismiss it as a muddy mess, but you guys just know how to REALLY demo a product, great tones from this one!

      +Marvio Botticelli I liked the Andertons demo, but nothing beats Andy's demos.

    • @Erickchicas
      @Erickchicas 9 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      +Marvio Botticelli The thing with anderton's demo's is that they are basically the opposite of pgs (andy and mike) because pgs demos are always meant to find the perfect sound for the pedal (style, guitar, amp, eq, genre of music) whilst anderton's demos are always the same sound (bluesy type, shredding) regardless the pedal sound.

    • @marviosantos
      @marviosantos 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Erick Chicas Yep! Also, for some reason they can't seem to get a good sound at all, I've seen demo's by them of stuff I have played myself, and that I know sounds really good, but somehow it's sound like utter crap when they do it, and the thing is, they use good equipment too!

    • @src248
      @src248 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Marvio Botticelli Usually they just "fiddle with the knobs" meaning they don't actually aim for a good sound

    Just got mine today , ordered with these guys at PGS, couldn't be happier... fast shipment, great customer service... but damn, this pedal is the best Muff I have ever heard, this will definitely drop some jaws when I play live... thanks everyone at PGS!!!

    Every review channel has it's fans and haters with the Andertons/rob chapman channel being one people are very vocal about. I love their channels but for sure you nailed it with this review andy. Great demo and great sounding muff from Thorpy.

    • @SRVai
      @SRVai 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kevin van den Berg What are you running right now? Some good Duncan or Gibson PAFs should be 97% of the way to that tru-clone tone. If clarity is what you're missing with your current humbuckers, try some tv jones filtertrons for that humbucker midrange, but single coil like treble response.
