- Here is Part 2 of episode 2 entitled "Flight to Danger". A color animated remake of the children’s show Fireball XL5, created by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson. Produced by AP Films and distributed by ITC Entertainment, this UK series had marionettes for all its characters and appeared on US television from 1963-1965 on NBC. The animation was done with iClone from Reallusion. The voices, sound effects and music are from the original TV broadcast. For ages 12 and younger or anyone who is young at heart. I hope you enjoy.

Awesome accomplishment. Right on the spirit of the original but with more technical details. The Fireball XL5 was kept as it is and specially the music and the voices, very well done. I was 7 when I watched it and it is part of my childhood on those times space exploration was the sensation. Thank you all for bringing this and be known by the generations in the future.

A little piece of trivia: Lieutenant 90 comes from Joe 90 who was a character in the early concept outlines of this series. Anderson productions reused the name for their later Joe 90 series

@@andycampbell91 I'm sorry but no. I had to delete them because in May 2023 TH-cam said my channel was too top heavy in copyrighted content which affected my ability to monetize non-copyrighted content. Shout Factory owns the DVD copyrights so I cannot burn a disk. Again, I am sorry.

I want to thank you again for your wonderful review of Fireball XL5 episode 1 in Mike Cane's Atomic Superman last November. It meant a great deal to me and I use it as positive reinforcement when working on newer episodes.
Entirely deserved! Your videos give people a lot to look at, if they bother to notice. Better than a hell of lot of CGI I see on TV (especially Thunderbirds Are Go!). Keep up the great work.

I have only one question: In the original version, the reactor was mounted to the inside wall of the capsule. It eventually broke free from its mounting and fell down practically on top of the fuel tanks. This version doesn't show such a design. Also, Steve's initial attempt to rescue Lieutenant 90 by ejecting into space was omitted from this version. Why? It makes for a slight continuity error in the dialogue. These are small points, I realize, but I still feel they should be brought up. Overall, though, this is still an excellent production!

I use some creative license on sets, props and script while still trying to capture and maintain the spirit of the show. The reason: I guess it's my way of putting my fingerprint on a great production. I hope you continue to watch further episodes.

Great! I grew up watching these original shows along with 4 Feather Falls, Supercar, Stingray, Thunderbirds and UFO. Venus is much hotter in this version.

Will you do more episodes? My favourites were when the small aliens were scared of Zoony and when the circus came to town but I don't recall the proper titles of those.

I'd like to suggest 3 episodes as your next remakes, in no particular order: "Sun Temple," "Faster Than Light," and "Wing of Danger." I know these things take a fair amount of time, so I wanted to submit my suggestions as far in advance as possible. Feel free to let me know your thoughts when your schedule permits!
