The "High Level Community" has said that the Noxious Halberd is bad because you don't learn how to PvM the complicated and difficult way. So what? Upgrades make the game easier. That's the point of having upgrades. If players now have an option to do ToB at a marginally slower rate than the absolute peak efficiency, but it's a lot more convenient, most players will do the new method.
Good point Josh. I think if it gets more people into tob, its a good thing...accessibility is TOBs big issue. After some time those players will upgrade and learn how to do the content at a higher level.
It's not about doing ToB less efficiently. It's about crutching on the halberd and not actually learning how to do it properly. Doing it properly is important because once you get a scythe (upgrade!), you need to know how to do the raid properly. Hell, scythe makes the raid harder even because it's 5 tick and you need to be on top of the 4 tick cycles. What I see happening with halberd in ToB, is a bunch of people getting their scythes and being massive detriments who die every single p2 verzik and fuck up Xarpus melee every run.
I feel like it would be a stepping stone to learning the proper ways. Like it would be simple to learn the raid thats easier vs starting off with all mechanics. That way, when you do upgrade, you only have to learn a few new things rather than everything and you have a good sense of the raid overall. Tob does have a barrier to entry and long term this could help (along with the boots).. Just gotta watch out for stubborn players who dont want to relearn a few mechanics lol. Also there will be some players that dont have SRA or Scythe but know the raid very well and are simply bringing this because its their best option. Its arguably 3rd bis, especially if you have elder and dont need a defender switch.
@@sum-dum_nerd that's literally what I'm saying. I'm saying they don't learn the raid correctly because they crutched the halberd. Why learn p2 timing? Why learn melee Xarpus? You can just cheese them
Very informative man. Thank you! I have a feeling this could bottom out at around 22mish until it has a niche, BiS use, and then will skyrocket back to the 40m plus range. We'll see what the future holds for it. I do wish the art team made the blade itself a bit more... pronounced. Feels a little thin imo lol.
Thanks man. I agree with you.. its one of those items that could always have have a use case in the future to pump it up. Feels like its decent in PVP as a pseudo elder maul that is 1-tick faster as well.. which could keep the price up a little long term.
I bought it at 23m and it seems like that is a good value for what it is, im currently grinding vardorvis and a hard hitting 5 tick is GREAT with bloodfury, in the long run it brings down the cost of charges (most expensive resource) and makes axe dodging easier, as vard can't pull you off the tiles youre standing on really at all. This said, I've only used it at thermy other than that and it TOTALLY slaps there, as 5t is ideal for the walk under method. It's a cool weapon, with a unique effect, and ive no doubt there is value to be gained from the range that players havent stumbled on to yet. The halberd as a weapon in general has been a useless weapon style (except for special attacks) and imo is long overdue for some love! The mace rework was years ago at this point!

Its equal to around 2 stacks of soulreaper. So getting anything higher and SR ends up being better. I still think its a big enough difference in my opinion but for how rare and hard soul reaper is to get AND use, I think it could use a tiny buff. That being said, I'm still happy with it overall and I wouldnt use Nox hally over it unless it fit a very specifc niche. Maybe at a place where you arent keeping your stacks up/ a place where melee is swapped out of a lot... bloat and nylo boss are two small examples of this but something more extreme would warrant it more.

100%..The dps difference between saeldor, tent and halberd is so small that if you can get a little extra utility from halberd from stuff like the range, 2h weapon, attacking things 1 tick earlier when running in, etc...you'll make up the dps loss anyways.
The Halberd SLAPS at Duke. I've used a scythe and SR Axe there as well. It's more consistent than SR Axe imo, but on average slower by 10 ish seconds. Its a solid weapon especially for its price

its funny what u described about the last phase of guardians is how i do my demonic gorillas, when they change style i step away and if it follows i know its melee
The noxious halberd is amazing at demonic gorillas. You’re always 1 tile away so you can tell if he gonna attack melee rather than magic or range without having to run back and forth
Hey thats not too bad! I think the dps from emberlight is worth it if you have it but halberd would be okay there. It being 2h as well would make swapping more chill since most range options are 2h (scorching, atlatl, blowpipe)
Nice video. I've been using hally for respiratory systems at sire. Nice lazy way to deal with them without switches. Usually kill 3 and restun the boss for the last, but I've 1 downed with it b4.
I use them for melee role at nylos. Ham joint/swift blade is what people have used before because its 3-tick speed. The reason machs are really great at nylos is they attack is two hitsplats instead of one, meaning the machs damage distrubution is like a pyramid where you are most likely to hit the middle of your damage points rather than an even distribution of all hits like other weapons. So you are much more unlikely to hit 1-7 then you would be with a normal weapon. Overall the chance to one-shot a nylo, specifically the smalls ones is very very high, like high 90%, which feels amazing and performs very well.
I'm quite sure ralos+nhally is better than fang/vw, at corp, for no food methods, at least. I think ZCB is quite a bit better than VW at 0 def until lower boss hp. Haven't quite done enough testing but i've had 9.5kph after ~2 hours and I was not playing perfectly. . Fastest kill i've seen was a 4:24 and the average seems to be around 5:45. Also i'm not sure if it's better to tank melee hits or stand 2 tiles away. When you are 2 tiles away, you have time to react and get extra hits before teleporting. Also, there is an extra tick delay on the multiple splatters from the aoe attack making it very easy to dodge all splats.
Ya it might be. Im also not sure abput being in melee range or not but i do like the extra hit you can get..even if melee range is better, i have been stepping back for the last auto before teleporting to land an extra hit. You tried it at mutta but not at olm? I found you can stand w 4 ppl at melee hand with spaces between each, also you can melee head phase xD. I am wondering if theres any potential for running head solo w hally...
Oh ya olm is not too bad.. didnt get a group to test but It seems better in a group at olm vs solo.. I like that someone could stick on the wall side and never get trapped in the flames. In terms of running the head, did some light theorycrafting and I believe due to the spacing, there isnt any extra advantage you can gain from it but it would warrant more testing in the future. Funny you can hit it during head phase haha.. its not viable bc of stats and space but its cool to see that.
nothing special there really.. getting to monkey's one-tick earlier sometimes would be nice but its 5-tick and overall not very good in toa so not worth the spot.
Looks like the price has rebounded and will stabalize aroubd 20-30m pendinf any crazy use cases. Imo I'd take this over a tent whip to tob, especially if I have a 2 handed spec weapon like elder or bgs.. not uses charges is also a nice qol and will add up over time.

good video but you gotta up your audio balance your video is incredibly quiet compared to the other videos i've watched
Noted! Audios been really annoying to work with recently but i got a pop filter coming which should help me a lot.
It shreds at Arraxor
Pretty decent on the spiderlings thats for sure
is this better than a hasta if im using it for stab?
depending on your gear and the npc defense. higher def = halberd, lower gear = halberd

Lol! One item from max melee and you called me out haha.
Olm melee hand would be the same as running 3:1 scythe because it’s 5-tick. It’s slower but definitely doable.
Hintz Tunnel
What about toa specially the monkey room?
nothing special there really.. getting to monkey's one-tick earlier sometimes would be nice but its 5-tick and overall not very good in toa so not worth the spot.
I bought it for fashion. Cant put a price on looking good.
You look like a million bucks!
Ba dum tss...

Does it not work at armadyl???

@@CosmicWizardGaming but how much did you gain from using it?!
@@TravagGames 😂😂 I don’t even have 80 att yet I bought it for motivation to level up lmao
Noxious halbred is hot garbage. Theres a reason its dropping hard in price. Also tent whip is better in majority of the raid at tob
Looks like the price has rebounded and will stabalize aroubd 20-30m pendinf any crazy use cases.
Imo I'd take this over a tent whip to tob, especially if I have a 2 handed spec weapon like elder or bgs.. not uses charges is also a nice qol and will add up over time.
should have failed poll this is not my osrs!!! Didn't watch this trash TIK TOKS this long are so boring

i think your dt2 log is about 500 more than mine but i only got one extra ring and every other is 0 rolls to the next
Dt2 drop tables are so wonky something is bound to go wrong for everyone.. spoon a ring; Not enough ingots. get a bunch of ingots; not enough rings.. axe pieces so rare going dry sucks, 2/3 virtus, etc lol.
@@TravagGames yeah man, worst drop mechanics in the game. so let's say theres a drop between 1 and 300, or 1 in 900. and both numbers come out as 8. well you have to hit 8 three times with the 1 in 300, lol. i wound out with about 10 virtus pieces and my deaths coffer is at half a bill, which is great. i got axe pieces before all my rings (taking over 2 thousand per boss for a ring) except for of course, my LAST piece i get 2 rings before the final piece at leviathan. I endd up with 32 fucking ingots too. 32 ingots, 5 vestiges. INSANE
The volume of your videos is significantly lower than other videos.
Ya thats not ideal.. had to reduce some popping but I got a pop filter taht should help with that in the future
