  • Installation process and riding experience with an Annitori QS Pro 2016 Quickshifter. Hope this helps other people decide if they want to buy it and if they feel like they can install it themselves or have a professional do it (I think anyone with a logical mind should be able to do it).

    Top video!!! Dit kan dus mogelijk mijn batterij probleem hebben opgelost. Ik heb onlangs een Triumph Daytona 675 gekocht met deze QS geïnstalleerd. Nu had ik wel een probleem met de batterij die altijd ontlade wat natuurlijk voor awkward situaties kan zorgen tijdens een pauze in een rit. Nu had ik er nog niet bij nagedacht om te controleren of de negatieve lead van de module aangesloten was op de negatieve van de batterij (dit is dus het geval). logisch dan dat de batterij telkens ontlaad aangezien hij power krijgt zoals je zegt. Ga nu testen als ik de negatieve aansluit op de ground van het achterlicht zoals je zegt en kijken of mijn batterij probleem is opgelost. YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER !!!!

    So my 16 Gsxr 600 I can only upshift the transmission correct I have this an it works great someone was saying I can use it for downshift but I didn’t think we could thanks

    • @GerhardNL
      @GerhardNL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I wouldn't recommend it. The annitori does support both up and down QS but as far as I know this option is meant to be used with GP (up)shifting. So when the shift linkage is set up so that 1st gear is up and 2nd etc. is down. (So not like the stock shifting pattern when 1st is down and 2nd etc. is up.) You set up the annitori for either push or pull depending on your setup (stock/GP). I'm told quickshifting both ways could result in gearbox damage on these bikes because these boxes weren't designed to work that way. Hope this helps!

  • @stefaniedmms
    @stefaniedmms 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Quick question! Do you have gp-shifting? Otherwise why you'd put push instead of pull for the up shifting ? I just got one for my gixxer 750 Thanks in advance :)

    • @GerhardNL
      @GerhardNL  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I didn't have gp shifting on this bike. I think how they mean this is that you 'push' the sensor instead of pulling on it when you shift. Don't have the bike anymore but for regular shifting you use the pull-setting is what I remember. Have fun!

    Do you also use it on the down shift? and if so how smooth is it?

    • @GerhardNL
      @GerhardNL  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honda CBR500R No I don't, I'd ruin the gearbox if I'm not mistaken. I think you'd need a bike with a gearbox that's been specifically designed for that (like the newer S1000RR's). Having the option might come in handy though if one day I'd like GP shifting (so 1 up and 5 down instead of the standard pattern), because I think then I'd have to use the opposite setting.

  • @Goinbig
    @Goinbig 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Have you changed the settings any more to make it better?

    • @GerhardNL
      @GerhardNL  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mike Jones I haven't, but something I'd like to try is lowering the gear lever a little bit (about a centimeter). Maybe then I could also try a slightly lower sensitivity setting. But these are minor finetuning tweaks I probably haven't done yet because there isn't a really a reason for it; the shifter works fine. Have you got one too?

  • @raycox3698
    @raycox3698 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi. Could you tell me where there is information that explains "Sensitivity", "Kill time" and "RFX"? Are all three adjustable in the app? What is the on-road effect of increasing or decreasing these? Also, is it better to have a kill time (and/or sensitivty or RFX) that is as small as possible e.g. what happens if the setting is too small or too big?

    • @GerhardNL
      @GerhardNL  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ray, I'm afraid these questions are a bit above my pay grade :) Probably best to go to the source: Annitori themselves. All documentation about the QS should be on their website (annitoriqs.com/). Also under 'contact us' (annitoriqs.com/contact-us/) there's a form you can use. I've e-mailed them in the past and found them very helpful. Sorry I can't answer your questions, but I hope this helps!

    Can you use the quickshifter clutch less or do you still have to use the clutch for first gear and goes up.

    • @GerhardNL
      @GerhardNL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, you only use the clutch to click into first gear and release when you want to start moving. After that you don't need the clutch. But it works better in higher rev ranges and when you accelerate. I have another video called annitori road test that shows this.

    Hi good video. I have the same bike. For last 7 years had therl gen 2 shifter. Very happy until the other week some rats got in my garage and cut the sensor and led module cables clean in half. The module works fine but when you make a shift the led which is chosen lights up for each gear change. My module doesnt get the signal so shifter wont engage. I notice on the new pro model the sensor is replaceable. Any ideas cheers Tony

      Hey man, yeah I never had any problems with it so I'd recommend it. Great upgrade, it really added to the fun I had on this bike (I don't own this bike anymore). Compared to other offerings for quickshifters I picked the annitori for sensor design, the app that comes with it and the pricepoint. Hope this helps.

    .Will it affect the gearbox in the long run?

    • @GerhardNL
      @GerhardNL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I understand it shouldn't. It cuts the ignition so the load is off when you shift and the gearbox should be fine. Also on new bikes it's pretty much standard these days. But I'm no mechanic though. But what I can say for certain is that it's freaking awesome to shift like this :)

    sitting on the bike and shifting gears on the stand is dumb as f... if the stand drops see how that goes , i've seen this happen before and trust me u wont smile the same after that. anyways they put this garbage QS on all new gen bikes , when it fails as it will eventually start failing it will create other problems , go back to stock shifting trust me.
