Hey I have a question about the turbo, did you get any warnings doing 0-60 runs after adjusting the waste gate actuator nut? How is the car running with the Kuro Turbo? How has it done over the past few months? Would you recommend this upgrade? Because I’m about to order it I think but I would love your honest input. I don’t want the p700 turbo its too big. Is this a good option in your opinion?
First off, thank you very much for your support, and generous "Super Thanks", it's very much appreciated! I did not receive any warnings tied to the adjustment of the wastegate nut, once it was set properly, i.e. setting it within its functioning electrical range. I did receive a warning during a track day, and found from the datalogs that it was ever so slightly out of range, but after a simple readjustment I have yet to receive any additional warnings. I do enjoy the turbo, and feel as though it was a good option, for me. It provides more top end power, where the OEM turbo would die off, but at the expense of some low-end torque. Less than 2K RPMs is underwhelming, but >3.5K RPMs it really moves. I would not want to go to a larger turbo as although I'm sure they'd be great for 1/4 track times, I really don't think they would be as fun for day-to-day street driving. With that said, I would also consider the new FL5 twin scroll turbo as it seems like it would behave very similar to the Kuro. Regardless of turbo, any upgrade from the Accord OEM will result in a loss of that peak torque down low in the RPMs, so be aware of what you're giving up, in comparison to what you'll gain. Hope that helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to email me (address found on the "About" tab on the channel page).
That’s crazy the difference between modded and stock. 2nd gear launches stock are usually better than 1st gear launches. But modded it takes a second to actually get up and go.
I just installed upper and rear torque mounts from hasport in 62a. Vibes and noise are only really at idle or low rpm. The benefits are much better suspension feel in the front end. Much more responsive engine feel. Paired with the 27wom strut bar the steering wheel feels tighter and the car feels solid !! Traffic might suck but other than that it’s worth it !
I had the Honda 6-speed upper/Hasport lower. Car felt more responsive and connected. The vibration at idle was not good. It went away when I started moving, but I hated it. It never went away as some people said it would. 5k miles later and it was still there. I did like how it felt when going to the floor at highway speeds. I eventually took the Hasport out and went back to stock on lower. Vibrations went away, but lost the "stiff" feel. I ordered the Honda 6-speed lower, but haven't installed yet. I bet the Honda lower 6-speed will be the best combo. I'll let yall know my results and opinion of upper/lower Honda 6-speed mount combo. Thanks for all the testing Chad!
I was planning on going the summer with the mounts, then testing the 6-spd lower mount as you are. I’d love to hear your experience - keep us informed 👍
@desioasis2378 I went with 6 speed upper and lower. Vibrations gone. Not as responsive, but no wheel hop. I have Phearable Stage 3. Traction is an issue with too much throttle.
@@87gn93 thats nice, i got phearable stage 4 and in at 90k miles now with stock mounts and yokohamas advan as sport plus, when i had the phearable stage 3, my stock tires use to spin all day but as soon as i changed to yokos, the grip was so crazy that i could go full throttle from a dig and the wheels wouldnt spin at all! 245 tire size but now that im at stage 4, and also my tread real low cuz i put 50k miles on these tires, the grip isnt as good, now about to get 255 tires and continentals dsw06 plus and hope that it remedies the situation, after running these 6 speed mounts for a while, would u say they are worth it over the stock mounts?
I installed the standard unflanged U62A Hasport upper torque mount on my '19 Accord Sport 2.0t and the NVH went through the roof on cold starts, in reverse, and when the AC is turned on. For reference, my car is BONE stock with NO tune, except for a Stage 1 PRL intake kit and a set of Continental Sport Extreme Contact dws06 tires on stock rims. I can tell you with absolute certainty that the upper torque mount has helped and made a difference in how my car behaves. Sure the NVH is obnoxious, but my launches are smoother and the car plants herself a lot better. Additionally, the 10spd auto shifts less going up certain grades because the torque is being better translated. I think it's worth it, but perhaps companies should offer different durometer choices to appeal to different tastes/driver expectations. Anyways, great video and I would like to see you do more comparisons with the lower mount removed to see if there truly is a difference or not. Naturally, the engineers at Honda had an idea in mind when they designed our cars, but is there room for improvement in drivability? Yes? I always believed the engine and transmission life expectancy could improve if the transmission can shift better instead of having the engine and transmission wobble and jiggle on their stock soft mounts. Just my opinion I guess!
I have the 62A units installed due to wheel-hop at the dragstrip. I haven't been back to verify they solved the hop, but I can testify on the vibrations: If you have any bolt, panel, or plate which is not fully tightened down, it will sing out to you at start up.
If you have coilovers or plan on changing springs put stiffer springs in the rear as this will help with traction. On launch and hard acceleration the weight will shift and the rear will want to squat , reducing the weight on the front tyres . You want all the weight you can get over your front tyres on launch or hard acceleration.
I used to have the hasport upper mount but I took them off after a couple of months because the mounts made the cabin so damn nosiy with an aftermarket exhaust. Something to consider for these mounts is that if you have any type of "loud" catback or mufflers, the cabin noise will definitely increase and cause more drone.
U have noooo idea have catback borla exists for my 2.0 and had Kevlar motor mounts and anyone reading this don’t ! The noise is insane every start up and like this guy said house cabin .. have to have a window open when driving just to make the cabin noise go away ….
I know I've bugged you about motor mounts on your other videos so I really appreciate your honest opinions and humility finally installing and doing a vid! I always figured when your modded out as far as you have, every tiny gain counts. P.s. did you max out on power mods already ? Now I wonder if you have the best turbo out of all the possible upgrades (living vicariously through your accord) lol
👍. Next step would be to bore out the fuel line and/or port injection in order to turn the boost up a little more and run a higher ethanol content for added power. I could also add meth to the setup 🤔. The “best” turbo is really going to depend on what you’re looking for. Are there turbos that can add higher peak power, sure, but at a slower spool up. I’m happy with the Kuro - it does take a little longer to spool than stock, but rewards you with nice midrange and high RPM power. I don’t think I’d be happy with daily driving a bigger turbo 🤷♂️

I have been running with the upper torque rod (Honda's name) from the MT for a year now with no problems. I just installed the lower MT torque rod (50890-TVC-A21) and don't notice any difference in NHV. There must be some, otherwise Honda wouldn't have two different parts for the same function. The 10sp rods are plastic bodied, the MT are metal. The rubber parts (bushings) look very similar.
I am running Phearable stage 3 and I went with the 6 speed upper mount. I didn’t notice much of a difference. It still breaks my dws06’s loose as much as possible below maybe 30mph.
You should do both mounts and let them break in properly for a month, it will still have vibrations but you are well above stock at 400whp+. You won’t have a good time at the dragstrip or track which it looks like you will take your car. Personally I got used to it for daily driving now 3 years.
