Lab rat flow hoods are excellent if anyone is interested. I bought one of their DIY kits for the model S, and I’m definitely not a carpenter or anything but it turned out perfectly. They sent everything I needed other than paint/stain, and the directions were pretty easy.

I have the same issue with those specific tubs but they are the only ones i use but just pull the lid open and push over the purple latch and allow the lid to rest like that when fruiting and i also do casing layer

Hi I Misted My Mycelium Very Lightly With Hydrogen Peroxide Because What I Believe I Had Spyder Mold It Seemed To Dissolve It right Away Now Though It Has A light Beige color With Tiny pepper Like Speckles Were I Sprayed ? Have Pins Coming Up And Some Good Fruits But Not Were I Sprayed Do You Think Hydrogen Peroxide Gave It This Color? Hope You Can Help I Love Your Videos Great Learning
Idk if you've answered this before but why do you do shoeboxes over monotub?
I like the form factor, plus I'm not going for big amounts. Shoeboxes give me more than enough yield, and I like the fact that I can run many different genetics in a much smaller amount of space. Plus less to lose if one contams.

If sub is to wet will it cause a white cloud film to form over colonized substrate.

@@Mycophilia I never misted once. My though was sub was to wet and cause way to much humidity? I’m still new. Thank you for your time.

@@kennynewell85 too much water either way caused this, misting or from the substrate. I don’t know of any fix for this, but it may be worth giving it a top layer of coir (I wouldn’t go over 0.5 inch thickness) and let the mycelium recolonize there. Make sure the coir is not overly wet like the rest of the sub
Why not try and modify the tub or mist and fan it so you get better results?
Because I’m already getting great results from this setup, and there’s no indication that they need FAE. They get plenty of misting as well. Fanning is also an outdated practice, which I will touch upon on my next video. I’m assuming you’re talking about the poolovers.

I had a tub of Amazons that turned out being albino once.. absolutely gorgeous.. tried to take some prints but none of the albinos would drop any spores. Anybody happen to know why this might be?
i think most people take swabs of albinos so they see oxidation and know the spores are there. as far as I know albino spores are invisible
As Marco said, albino spores are invisible and fruits often do not drop spores so swabbing will be necessary! It’s too bad you couldn’t continue those genetics!
@@Mycophilia yeah no kidding.. well at least now I'll be ready if it ever happens again. Technically I'm still using genetics that are from the same spore syringe that I got the albinos from so who knows, maybe Ill get lucky twice 🤞
How do you keep that room dark?
There’s always light, mushrooms needing darkness is an old myth. Only dark when I’m sleeping.

Why don't you use a liner in your tubs?
I prevent side pins by having good surface conditions on top. I only use liners on monos for easy extraction of the substrate. I have a video on sidepins and liners:
