    Just a MIND MELT session. Reminds me of days out on Gulf St Vincent here in SA catching 20lb Snapper on Soft plastics. Love the long video format. 3 to 4 less Mackerel would have been good though lol. Thats the second or maybe the 3rd time I've seen you fish those pylons with PE 2 - 4 and thought FUDGE he needs 4 -6 with 120lb leader and 80 to 100gm slow pitch jigs. I think you can stop some of those GT or what ever those big beasts are that keep smokin ya!

    Hey everyone, probs a question that’s been asked a million times but why do all you fellas love the barrel / casting reels ? Is there an advantage to it up north? I Spent a lot of time in WA and Darwin fishing with my egg beaters and caught my best 130 Jew fish on the demon blood rod and a Daiwa egg beater, just curious as u group are the experts , is it because of the casting capabilities or what’s the go ? Cheers for answeres in advance , tight lines peeps

    • @bowlysfishing
      @bowlysfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In this video with the overhead jigging setup, it’s a personal preference really, but for me I feel it’s easier to do the slow pitch jigging technique, as well as control the line, setting hooks quickly when a fish has eaten the jig and also I feel it’s easier to fight a fish with the overhead with the ability to put your thumb straight on the spool to try stop them when you need to.
      For bait casters, up creeks and rivers ect, cast control and accuracy is massive. Same deal with the thumbing too.
